What hero do you think is EASIEST and HARDEST to get Grandmaster with?
As someone who has never hit grandmaster, its definitely [all of my main heros], and the easiest is [all the heros I dislike]

Just think that you should become good at most characters to be able to swap to map and comp rather than only playing one character. Like why would anyone play just one character unless they are overly Stan’ing for them or are doing it for content? Unless its an absolute S-tier character, most are best in certain comps on certain maps. I guess this is still a helpful vid if you are maining 2-3 of these characters, like one main dive, one poke and one brawl. Just trying to see how this applies to a lot of us players that aren’t glued to one.

You know what, fair. Mercy isn't easy to climb to GM solo. She can just duo with and attach to a good damage player to effortlessly climb.
You could duo with any good damage player and effortlessly climb with half the supports and a lot of the tanks

Probably just left them out because they're new. Not because they weren't out yet, but because they're hard to analyze due to people not being as familiar with them yet.

I think the skills that require you to play widow is a transferable skill from game to game. I’m not sure there’s that high of a learning curve when learning to play her unless your brand new to fps
nah, you gotta know positioning. how to deal with genji, monkey, tracer, and other counters. sure if you're in the top 1% of any competitive game you can climb fast, but without putting some time in to figure out where widow is most effective takes a little time.
@@metaslave5566 but by that logic you could say the same for any character other character in the game. Soldier and Cassidy still have to deal with Tracer, Genji and Moiras. However we affix them to being easier to intuitively understand because we’re familiar with their weapons and general play style. I’m not saying there isn’t a learning curve with Widow, but I don’t think she’s intuitively hard to play after you understand what Overwatch is
@@Bighoodiekid similar, enot the same. cassidy is pretty much built for the range and widow is a glass cannon. especially with as much movement and verticality, there's adjustments to be made. you dont really see people just come over here from apex or something and grab widow and jump to gm
Overwatch aiming is very different to many other games. Having FPS experience definitely helps, but to learn widow it still requires a ton of grinding (not to mention how much practice they have already done in other titles)
@@Bighoodiekid widow cannot deal with genji, tracer, monkey, hammond etc., the same way cass, soldier, and ashe can, it's like night and day difference. In my game, I saw widows losing duel against a freaking mercy's pistol point blank, yes, mercy pistol. They're not comparable, try to play widow more in higher rank where people go flankers and hard focus you, you'll see.
Also, sniper in fps games like valorant and csgo are so much easier than widow.

Reaper in high level play is extremely situational, the only thing he can do (if there is no Hanzo, Widowmaker, Ashe, Sojourn on the enemy team) is tank bust. He is the only character in the game that does not have atleast one way of ranged damage. This character needs some changes.

@@kalebshaw47 the grenade launcher showed in the museum cinematic against Winston, just anything please, even Junker Queen has her knife throw.
i’m not sure what they should do. because you cannot contest a Reaper withen his range. They’d have to nerf his close range to give him more power elsewhere, but would that be a good change?
honestly cass' grenade doesnt fit him, i always thought an ability like that would work better on reaper, make his close range burst so much more consistent.
reaper gets the grenade but it does 75 damage so he can assassinate squishies more consistently and quicker for his flank playstyle and have powerful burst in the tank bust role
@@Bighoodiekid Roadhog and Junker Queen wipe the floor with you in Reapers effective range, Hanzo can also just dink you in the head close range and that's after all the things you need to go to bridge the gap in the first place. He's just not worth playing when long ranged characters exist.

As a Bap main the only thing I would add is that not only you don't need to learn a lot about your skills like Ana or Kiriko but you also have the posibility to just carry games as a third DPS if you feel like your team is falling apart. Similar to Kiriko but way easir since you don't need only headshots and you have more ways to eat damage.
imo, Sombra would be a C tier cause you need to know a lot about her way to bring value and to be aware of pretty much everything happening at any moment to really make a difference.

The McCree take is extremely hot. Getting to GM when you can aim makes perfect sense. Getting there while not having good aim, him having a trash ult, and basically just potshotting occasionally in the back line near a wall the entire time? Ridiculous.
All the good McCrees I have seen hit their shots and are aggressive (obviously they still go in and out of cover as needed) provided they're getting decent heals. Otherwise, what use are you? Your win is contingent on the rest of your team carrying.

I have played Overwatch since beta and over all these years I have NEVER ranked higher than high plat. I watch your videos, and many other for tips abd game sense and GM seems insane goal to reach. Just playing a character on S tier wont get you to GM.

@@cikembra2389 the rank system is seemingly more forgiving than the old SR system. Also with the amount of new players in the game, it essentially boosts old players’ rank up since on average new players place in bronze.
As long as you have fun playing someone you commit to this character and don't give up you can get but it take a lot of time
Sombra is really hard imo. Supports start peeling and hitting shots and you need to be clever to get value. You’re better off flanking with Tracer or being creative with Symmetra. I’m a Sombra main and it’s annoying, her gun is so weak with no burst damage so it gets harder and harder to kill things before they kill you.

Maiming Sombra and wanting to climb forces you to use comms. Maybes that’s what the devs were thinking 😳couple different styles. Picking off, baiting low health, fighting with tank, ult farming. The game sense and team awareness be through the roooof cuz of the damage thing you mentioned. I basically win every game when I have a sigma and go som. Farm emp and pop before that Sig ult. It’s just percentages of health vanishing at that point lol. The shit that makes OW a different shooter

I’ve played mercy for 7 years… solo in rank… I’ve peaked at diamond 5 so far. But honestly, I’m not playing the game much anymore… wouldn’t say I’m burnt out… it’s just I’ve done what I wanted with this game and I want to move onto new games now

Is ELO ranking up MORE about wins or more about stats/performance?
Just purely on wins I believe.
Generally the stats don't reflect pressure, map control, marking, utility etc.
After your placements (which were your first card per season but will now just be your first card ever) stats have absolutely no affect on rankup or down. It's purely based off win/loss although the gain/loss from an individual win varies slightly depending on whether the matchmaker expected you to win/lose that game based on the balance of the created match
I kinda play a bunch of dps and ive been able to go as far as plat 2. I usually main ashe,torb or bast but i also like echo, and pharah as well as sombra or widow if im feeling good

24:47 he tp back to spawn lol. As a mercy main, this is my opinion. She is a low skill floor character yes agree but she is pretty hard to master. For her, game sens is more important and u have to get creative and timing. She cant really escape easily like doom, ball, moira, reaper cause her ability need line of sight and she has no form of burst heal so she cant really save herself or an ally. Dam boost timing is important and learning all her ga and rez techs and decently hard. Judge if to push dam boost even if an ally who is low. One time my ally has 5 hp but i tried to push dam boost and it worked but other times dont, so i have to judge according abilities, cover etc
You should put time stamps for characters
I enjoy knowing that I don't have to be the best aimer in the game to be a good player, with most heroes at least

You were jumping through hoops not to put genji in a higher tier lmao. Zen is also very situational, its easy to say just discord tank and win but the amount of flankers is insane, forcing a lot of swaps. Very interesting takes tho

Very nice vid, too bad my mains are Lucio and Sombra, didn't really get to know how hard it is to get to GM. For Lucio and Sombra you are really dependend on your team (For lucio mostly your tank). You can make plays yourself as both characters but your team needs to follow up on those plays to really get the vallue out of the character. (For lucio it's the speedboost and for Sombra its the hacks).

@@HtiyTracer definitely isn't easier on console, because you have to compensate for your mechanical limitations with uniqueness and unpredictability. Tracer on console is more of a strategy game than Tracer on PC.
As a Gold 3 Sombra main I can say that she's is really hard to master. U need much game sense, positioning and aim because of her bad damage. Analysing the situation to find out who to hack and shoot, taking the attention by shooting enemys from their back line or flanking an Ana is key. But most important: Don't get greedy on finishing the kill. Sombra is a character who only works if ur team works thats the hardest part of it.
I used to love playing sombra. Not she's not even fun anymore. Outside of hack you might as well not shoot it's negative damage. Feels so trash to play

I’m still committed to genji one tricking. I have close to 200 hours, and I want to actually be really good with him, not just rank up with these heroes who just are super straightforward. But should I pick up a hero like ash if the whole team counter swaps? Like I can deal with 2 genji counters typically, but once I hit 3, I effectively have only one target the whole match. And the others have an easy time beating me. And at 4, like with Mei, sym, Moira, brig/mercy, I basically don’t have a single dash target.

Mercy isn’t a genji counter that’s an ideal target if she doesn’t have valk if she has valk you might as well forget about her
@@oDiFlash yeah she doesn’t counter him, but her movement and self heal make securing kills on her pretty hard. And whoever she’s pocketing is really hard to kill as genji. Like you have to dash them, hit all 3 heads and melee to secure a kill. Or hit all 3 heads twice in a row
How is mercy a counter haha? A good lucio is a big headache for Genji as well

I have a very high win rate on brig, in fact she took me out of silver single-handedly for a reason: she counters all these shitty moira players who can't do anything other than try to flank and can't flex to another support because they don't know how to aim since they play moira.
Just yesterday I killed the same moira six consecutive times as brig in Paraíso. She would flank our team, begin sucking on my HP, I'd turn around, beat the crap out of her, chase her with dash when she tried to fade, finish her off, repeat.
When she coalescenced I rallied and stunned her, rendering her useless.

Brig is not the best. If the moiras were decent (and considering they’re silver, they’re not) the Brig wouldn’t be doing anything. Literally every other support except mercy is better for dealing with a Moira assuming you hit even half your shots.
All the moira has to do is sit outside your shit range, fade when you bash and get free charge. Even hitting whip shot on her is actually to her benefit

What you’re saying about kiriko is completely wrong. By doing awkward’s 4-step plan it is pretty easy to have a lot of impact and carry a game… engage, close distance, from an off-angle, disengage.

This tier list makes no sense. Widowmaker is easy to get to GM if you're an insane widow. Which takes a tremendous amount of effort to become. Which is difficult. So getting to GM on widow is.... Easy? What.
You acknowledge that ana has a bunch of things to be awate of. Positioning, landing abilities, aiming. But she's easy to get to GM with? What are you smoking.

Junkrat main here. I’m in high diamond low masters. So sick of the low rank people saying he’s overpowered and easy to climb with. Play one game in my rank and tell me it’s easy to get value. Almost every other hero has a better kit. Aside from Junkrat movement, which you need to have mastered if you want to climb at all, he can’t do much unless he’s close and in a small space with the enemy UNLESS you aim incredibly well. You have to know every angle of every map. You have to be able to counter a pharmacy and an echo at the same time. Nearly every game I have to deal with the pharah or echo alone since they single me out due to the fact they naturally are my counter. Conclusion? Junkrat is super effective in the low-mid tiers so basically anything mid plat and below. Higher tiers like diamond masters and GM? Good freaking luck cuz the enemy widow is using a mouse and keyboard and that tracer now has good control of their mobility. And then there’s hanzo one shotting you and also everyone understands to not stand still and not walk down small hallways 😂 Junkrat is easily one of the hardest heroes to climb with in the higher ranks. Simple as that. And I didn’t even mention being good with a tire😂

Every hero gets more difficult around that area. Imagine being a pharah main and getting two shot by crees or one shot by hanzos and widows instantly. Imagine being the cree or widow dealing with tracers and genjis who are cracked out of their minds and constantly diving. It's far more effort to deal with their issues because intense aim is involved whereas if you're using junk vs a pharah you're just throwing in general unless your brain just clicks with the aiming style naturally and you can shoot a pharah down regardless of where they are like a top 500 junk main can.
And let's not ignore how much value tires get especially when you're using multiple every single round. A near guaranteed double kill can turn the tide of most team fights or force them to waste defensive ults.
@@Halo3ninja28 but notice how you just named the easiest heroes to climb with… proving my point that Junkrat is far harder to climb with than someone as stupid easy and brain dead as Cassidy… he can 2 shot and those shots happen faster than most heroes in the game. He needs a mega nerf and rework. Also tire is VERY easy to kill and very hard to get good consistent double kills with in masters because everyone can aim. So once again junk is at a disadvantage. You can’t possibly believe all heroes are equal in the high ranks. If they were we wouldn’t see everyone playing the same 3-5 heroes…
