Hey John, I sort of committed myself to uploading all 5 of the games I played in this format to basically create a mini-series out of it.
Generally speaking, I've had a few people comment about uploading games where things don't go well for me, so my thinking is that if I'm going to do that the best approach is to post the totality of an event like this.
This game was obviously pretty crazy...

I think blue was actually god himself sitting down for a catan game :))
he rolled half the sevens and kept pulling wood (which he doesn't produce) out of your hands while you guys had like 5,6 cards, had his 5 getting rolled more than other numbers and rolled 11 twice in such a short time giving him 4 ore

Yeah, those 7s were pretty crazy. It's often overlooked how a timely roll (or 2) of a 7 can change the game for someone. It just all worked out for him...

That was just blind luck. 5's rolled more that 8 and 6 combined, and the 7's plus the knights just let him kill you guys. Plus red bailing on the game when he had a good setup kept you all from trying to shut blue down. But I don't think anything could have shut him down with those rolls. Your setup was definitely weaker than green, red or blue (19 vs 23, 22, 22 points and you had no sheep), but that's just the luck of the draw and you has a chance in a balanced game. My only suggestion to you would have been to use your roads sooner. I know you wanted to road-settle, but wood was so rare for you that you shouldn't have risked it being stolen (especially by blue who was desperate for wood). You could have built toward the sheep settlement immediately with little chance of being plowed, and kept your hand uninteresting to the knight.

Cheers Bruce, thanks for checking out the video and sharing your thoughts. I definitely agree with all of the above.
I think picking 4th & 5th on this board was a always going to be a bit tricky, but this was one of those games where everything just worked out for Blue and there was nothing we could do to stop them.
One other thing I could've (and probably should have) done differently was pointing my initial road from the 8/3/4 to the wheat port, but that's just a minor adjustment that would not have changed the outcome of this game the way it played out.
