The whole time I was like well this sucks, no chance for army or road, this is gonna be tough! Leaving the roads unconnected like that was crazy!
Yeah, at the end of the game I was referencing the "Small Window" of opportunity I had to get the win like that.
It was probably going to be very hard for me to get to 10 VPs otherwise...

I think your settlement placement was doomed from the start. I thought you're picking 9,4,11 for sure since you and orange were both playing OWS, once you gave her 11,4,5 she had a monster setup there was just no way you could win the army race against her. I mean even if you took 9,4,11 she still had a better OWS setup than you but atleast there was a chance...
But winning this game was definitely because of your smart tradings and general experience of the game. I'd have 3 for 1'd for days and kept having empty hands :D
I was very surprised I was able to win this one as well. I think you're right about the 9/11/4 - this was probably the best choice for me in hindsight but, as you're alluding to, if I lose the army race I have absolutely no chance of winning that game.

I would subscribe if I could see more game and less advertising, I watch every day at lunch on my phone. Games are slow but more of the game would be nice on a small screan.
Are you talking about the proportion of the board in the shot vs. the camera, etc.?

If TryNice takes 9-11-4, Orange still ends up with 11-5 and has every thing better for OWS then TryNice would have
Would be nice if you said "I disagree with what you did" or "I think you made a mistake" rather than saying something is "Dumb".
Looking back at it I should've probably taken the 9/11/4 and created problems for everyone in the centre of the board. Still not guaranteed that I would win the army race though, which in that situation would definitely be a winning condition for me - making this play and the 3/9/11 a bit riskier IMHO.
@@-JoMar28- orange has pretty low production with the 5/11 so I much prefer picking 9/4/11. Also you start with two ore in hand so you have fast city potential
