I'm going to get a million questions on paint so here's everything I used:
-Inner Frame: Tamiya Gunmetal, Tamiya Silver Leaf, Tamiya Gold + Gold Gundam Marker, Green Gundam marker (Eyes)
-Armor: Tamiya Metallic Red, Tamiya Mica Blue, Tamiya Matte Black, Black Gundam Marker, Metallic Green Gundam Marker, Testors Dullcoat
-Mace: Metallic Black (handle), Matte Black (Body), Silver Leaf (Spike)
-Panel lined with Tamiya Accent Liner BLACK and GREY
-Weathered with Tamiya Weathering Master Sets (Light Gunmetal + Gunmetal)

Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex, Gundam Gusion Rebake Full City.
It's kinda ironic since both pilots are barely literate, but their gundams have long-ass names.
It's touched on once or twice that Barbatos' name isn't decided by the pilot, mika says something along the lines of "He's still just barbatos" or something like that.
I thought he did decide the name, it's not too out there that he remembered some cool latin words for his Gundam.
Ned Innis Nah, the engineers that upgraded the suit name it. Mika still just calls it Barbatos unless he's launching.
Gusion Rebake Full City
Demon lord remodel Coffee Reference edition.
Gusion is a demon lord from hell, rebake because it was taken and remodeled to resemble space guts' style of fighting now that he's a big deal at Tekadan and wanted to fight for the freedom of human debris. and "full city" roast is a type of coffee which I think is implying to it's street combat execution aesthetic at at every range. also coz its brown!
it's one Gundam with four arms each wielding large guns charging in with a team. and then it can wail on the enemy captain down to bare knuckle at close range before it crushes them with it's scissor shield.
one of the best gundam designs. i remember when it was first teased and along with others i disliked for it's fragile design. but this build is a f***in wargreymon beast mode.

this Gundam is one of my utter faves in the beginning I didn't really like the barbatos In the beginning but now it's one of my fave lead gundams
I think this will surely be my favourite out of all 1/100 Barbatos kits once I get a hold on one. It has some cool aesthetics and right combination of badass anime mech and a beasty anima robot. I'll probably turn it into some sort of custom dragon Gundal when I get my hands on it. Also those subarms are one adition to mobile suit's gimmicks, gotta give a had on whoever designed that
This is definitely the king of IBO for me hehehe. no way in hell would Bael be a match for this. Plus the fact that it is never unarmed for as long as in has its feet, arms, and tail.
115Kramer For the record, bael never had any upgrades unlike any other gundams that has been featured in the series. But still managed to fight toe to toe with a highly upgraded kimaris controlled with two minds.
Kimaris vidar and bael are definitely the strongest gundam frames in the show by far especially with both vidar and bael having the alya v3 at least I assume bael has it barbatos the s just the most heavily modified with the best pilot
I enjoyed this kit and agree with what you've said in your review. I personally love all the different versions of Barbatos. I still need to get the 1/100 Barbatos Lupus and 6th Form Barbatos.

got my lupus rex recently and just wanted to leave my review; extremely fun kit to build! it is a bit difficult to find a good pose for the rex although given its awkward proportions, but if you can make due with that definitely a must buy! looks amazing once you've found a great pose for it! :D
Is barbatos lupus rex have a good articulation?
7-8/10 articulation. not the best but no complaints! getting it into awesome poses :)

just a random, random thought: Google translate claims Barbatos Lupus Rex is Latin for bearded wolf king.
that aside, I'd like to ask this while waiting for the gundam Bael to show up in stores close to where I live. is it a good idea to give the 1/144 Gundam Bael a massive colour scheme change, (e.g. throwing in some gold or brass paint and adding red accents on the edges) or should i just stick with panel lining?
question, did you use gold acrylic or enamel paint for the claws? and which gold? cause there is titanium gold and gold leaf.im a beginner thanks for any help

I wanna see tekketsu suits in build fighters.... A Custom Barbatos Lupus Rex Custom with a drop of super Robot mixed in for Sekai Kamiki's Master would be one hell of a great Idea. Or maybe a Super Gyanko mecha mesu based on the Lupus Rex the possibilities are endless! Also would love a Biscuit, Orga and Mika team piloting a Getter Based Customized Super Robo-tized Version of the Barbatos [Lupus Rex] curious on how they'd pull that off!

I am more of a hekija fan but dam lupus rex really is my favorite basic armor barbatos it's just one of those designs that are excessively badass to the point where if you had to fight it irl you would be dead

I do wonder why some parts in the backpack of Babartos Lupus Rex (2 holds at the sides of the backpack) and that of Bael (2 empty spaces on the top of the wings) seem uncompleted.

0:51 to 0:59 Was there some sort of framerate drop on these specific clips? It started getting laggy on that part.
I filmed that part way to slow so as a quick fix I sped up the video in post. What you're seeing is the shaking and inconsistency of my hand movement at 3x normal speed. Yeah it looks super weird but oh well!

Im pretty sure i've only seen one other person do this to their Barbatos, i cut the middle of the front skirt so that they move independently. Is that bad?
As long as you don't break the ball joint off you will be fine. I do it with my kits.

I personally like the normal Lupus more. If the Lupus Rex had the blue gem on the crest and if it kept the Lupus shoulder pads, it would have been my fav.
