I'm sorry I don't think I'll ever understand that, just buy a kit you like on super rare occasions. In less than 4 months I've managed to collect unassembled 10 kits and three built some time ago(basically one away from the number of your collection). During October and November I've managed to complete MG Barbatos(2019), RG Tallgeese, HG Zaku II Red Comet Ver, SD Zaku II

@John Nova You'll miss it eventually. Retiring means you are 100% certain you won't think about going back to the hobby at all. Life is too short to give up on something until the day you die, dude. I haven't even bought a kit in over a year because I got too busy, but I don't call that retirement. I call it "taking a break".

Andika Pratama Rex means king in latin, So lupus Rex would mean wolf king

Also beside translated as the wolf king, the name actually implies on how barbatos portrayed as wolf riding demon within solomon's book
Plus how the barbatos act as "leader" in battlefield where in fact he is a lone wolf despite being in a pack, as king can't rely on others back

It at least is better than a lot of the updated rereleases. The Exia had way too many if you wanted any of the aux forms.

Seeing the intro make want an MG Gusion Rebake even more
When you realize that they forgot a 1/100 graze shoulder for the time that Barbatos wore a Graze's shoulder pad.

3rd form shoulders are re-colored graze shoulders
@@Boyoyoable yes. but Barbatos wore just one standard green Graze shoulder pad in its transition from 1st to 2nd form. Therefore this set is technically incomplete. XD
but if you look at it, it's not even counted as an official form, so yeah... but if we want to recreate it for a moment, we can print a custom stickers to mask those shoulder temporarily if we want to recreate that pose

Thank you for another brilliant review, Mecha!!! I'm not really into the MG kits, but the anime-accurate Barbatos forms you can get from the expansion set are making them very desirable to me!!! I have to agree that the detail on those parts is nicely done, and the waterslides are a cool bonus!!! That Hangar Scene at the beginning...now that was awesome!!! with just a few shots you were able to establish a mood, a vibe...and then nostalgia kicks in (or is it heartbreak?)!!! That weapon though...too bad it can't seem to be held!!! Anyway, the Barbatos looks good with those expansion parts, but I love the chunkier armor and prefer those forms over the sleeker versions!

This set gives me hope for an mg graze series of kits. They already made a few parts so a full kit sounds like potential.

I’ve been waiting for this review!!! So glad to finally see it. I was able to snag two of the expansions since I wanted to try a couple of the forms out myself. Sad that the blue nubs up so easily though. But yeah definitely going to have to pick up a couple more Barbatos’ for sure.
Navy blue always stresses. It's hard to fix too, my Sinanju Stein Narritive has some nasty nub marks

It definitely is worth getting this P-Bandai add on set along with 7x of the MG ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos [Form 4] to display all of the forms.
I presume we'll get an MG ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus and MG ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus Rex. As to how they're going to be release is either indivdiually, a P-Bandai add on set, or maybe 1 kit release with the options to choose either or.
Regardless, I think without a doubt the MG versions is much better than the HG and the 1/100 versions.

The mace for the MG Barbatos Lupus Rex is going to be a pain.
it is, I finally got mine to hold it securely by refferencing the two poses on the box with the head of the mace down towards the ground and its surprisingly stabel, but that means the range of poses you can do with that weapon without the hands falling apart are incredibly limited.

would be a total do over of armor so mg gusion and mg gusion rebake need to be seperate and full city being the expansion so agreed
The 5th form implies that an MG Schwalbe Graze and an MG Graze are coming in the future,which I'm really excited for

I have one on pre-order. I don’t care how finneky it’ll be holding the chainsaw mace, I fully intend to have it held by Barbatos gripping the 1/100 Graze in its teeth! I just might have to get a bit creative with action bases.

...a-am i the only one now realizing that the 5th form boosters are from a Schwalbe Graze and the 6th form shoulders are from a Graze Ritter? I already know the 2nd and 3rd forms use the classic graze shoulder armor and the 3rd had the wireclaw from Gaelio’s Schwalbe, but I’m now just realizing the origins of the other parts...this actually makes me hopeful for potential Master Grades of both Schwalbe Graze and Graze Ritter, and maybe the normal Graze

I need a MG Galbady Rebake hammer pliers for my Barbatos. That is the most badass IBO style weapon. All the power of a mace plus the brutal crushing of Gusion Rebake's scissors.
I would really mix and match some forms to get my 'ideal' barbatos
