This is how i imagine the RG of Barbatos and its variants would look like. Its amazing.

@@ineon_playz9964 There are apparent caveats to HG because it's level of grade meant to be affordable and easy to print. No brainer, a painted figure with better heft, construction, and detail is obviously going to outclass HG. But these are 2 different things, comparison doesn't really make sense.
and also this thing is carzy expansive. the no grade is kind of a no-no as it falls off (according to the comments) and this thing is way too expansive. imma just wait for the mg and hope that its gud :/

I'm honestly hoping that the MG Lupus Rex comes with those effect parts, if it doesn't that would be an option set I'd have to buy
If it will be an option set knowing bandai it wont be in the box or a seperate option set because the regular lupus rex didnt come with it either

Yo, FYI, It is anime cannon that rex CANNOT wield the mega mace properly without the sub arms, he usually holds it with both arm and sub arm, so the damashii's inability to wield it with just the arm is accurate
where does it say he can't properly hold the mace without the sub arms, there's tons of fight scenes where he one-hands the mace including the first launch of rex against jpt trust, his battle with vidar, and his last stand before he got surprised by the dainslief grazes. He doesn't use the sub arms in any of those fights to hold the mace and doesn't typically two hand it either. the hg barbatos for all of it's flaws can one hand the mace without the sub arms.

@@crisnmaryfam7344 😂😂😂 how does that prove anything? Also that was in s1 when he didn’t have Rex yet and at the time was using the wrench mace not his regular mace.

Barbatos just reeks of danger compared to other gundams even heavy arms means business by its look but Barbatos looks very very intimidating no wings nor sparkles just brutal. Mika made barbatos a real scary force on the battlefield by itself no regard for life once the mission was accomplished...edgy just like the machine itself
I still think the gp02 is the scariest ms. Its whole purpose is to annihalate large fleets/possibly even entire colonies. Its glare does not make it any more friendly. It isnt meant for fighting, just cold nuclear desecration. I love stardust memory..
@@_s-p-e-c-t-r-a_music_ Gp02's destruction level really did make the stardust memory name sink in from that aspect lol but I don't think there is any gundam that can step to Barbatos in direct hand to hand combat...I only wonder what Barbatos could have been if it had a Zero system instead of causing the pilot so much damage everytime

Heads up again. On the 1/100 Gundam Frame the waist joints are prone to breakage like the freedom 2.0 is and best to be pinned or replaced if you lack the skills or resources

I want this! And about it not being able to hold the mace; I completely expected that, engineering wish it's just not possible to make it both removable and tight.

@@reaperdragongaming2492 Believe it or not, of all places I found several on Amazon still. A couple were relatively decent prices to boot. During Black Friday was a great deal. Sadly I had to go the Ebay route for the Metal Build Strike Noir however. Good luck in your search 👍

Gotta love Barbatos
My MRD Barbatos lupus Rex is still solid. The joints is tight and strudy, I pose it even without the supports for tails deployed. The only loose part I find in mind is the wrist too so I have to use the subarms too... for me this is still the definitive Rex in figure form.
probably a good idea to superglue the wire at the connection point so it cant slide and twist from the weight

To make this figure perfect, Gently pop the shoulders and the waist and add just a bit of superglue. In layers while rubbing it on the joints.(dry fingers ahead). Same thing with the drop down leg segments and the tail connection. But with that easy fix, It has easily become my favourite figure ever.
Nice looking figure. Maybe I've gotten used to plastic, but the gloss finish and sparkly gold looks completely wrong.
Is there a way to put gold foil on that would stick and not crinkle? Hell I'd even use a gold gundam marker on it.

I feel like you could spend a minute or two putting your kits in proper standing poses before your put them side-by-side for comparison. It makes the HG Lupus Rex seem flaccid, and it could use a bit more care.
I'm so mad because I was waiting for this to go up for preorder. The day it goes up it's immediately sold out on like 5 different sites.

Lmao, just found out one of the 72 demons the gundams are named after is named Amy so there was a Gundam Amy among BArbatos and Bael
My one issue with IBO designs is the usage of melee weapons so massive that their merchandise cannot actually hold them a lot of the time. Otherwise this is an interesting expenditure.
I put super glue on the joints to strengthen them (model kits) not too much tho, just so the shoulders/elbows of the lupus can hold the damn club
I'd prefer they design whatever looks good as a deisgn on the screen firstly and then deal with the consequences of making it a model later rather than kneecapping the artists for the inverse
4:58 seems like you got a weird one cuz mine had none of the problems your’s did but mine’s shoulder armor somehow popped off and is loose

I heard this thing is notorious for having loose joints, but I did find a video by the name of Wotafa who gave a tutorial on how to make the joints tighter, but just be careful disassembling the figure if you do it.
