After seeing mecha Gaikotsu's review i lost all hope to this kit but now after seeing type v3's review this changed my mind
Yeah, I think beside the waist, other parts like the toes the knees can easily be fixed with some glue so it's not a major issue to me

i must say, i really enjoy your reviewing style. its quick, informative and highlights each kits pros and cons in an interesting way. I also find myself coming back to just to review posing posing options!
The only kit I've ever built where I felt like panel lining it would just ruin the look. I agree with your statement that its probably the best looking OOB kit out there right now. Its also a very nice touch that even the decal stickers have a reflective shine to them, so they blend well with the glossy red plastic.
Agree Bro, there's not much or even any opportunity for panel lining the kit. Really love the positive review unlike popular channel we know.

I finished the kit a day or 2 ago and it's biggest problem is definitely the waist joint you mentioned, it seems the kit would highly benefit from a purpose designed joint intended for heavier load, but with that said it's still gorgeous, definitely a must buy for sinanju lovers

I wouldn't recommend going for an RG on your first ever build tbh. I'd say build one or two of the newer HGs (IBO, Thunderbolt, maybe Age) to get a feel for it before doing RGs

they really should've designed this kit from the core, with it's own original frame, rather than piggybacking on the mk-ii frame.

Anarchic Gent Its generally best to not trust gaikotsu's opinions on kits. His manhandling makes kits seem a lot worse than they are, and the RG sinanju even has a torso lock not mentioned in gaikotsu's review

I just watched 4 other reviewers on this kit. I do still miss my first TH-cam gunpla guy Rrobbert1984 but you have done a great job taking over for him!
I know you won't get the P-Bandai Sinanju's Option Set that has the Bazooka and the Damaged Head. But this is a good review... I watched Mecha Gaikotsu's review on the RG Sinanju and it's a real pain on the Mk-II Inner Frame.
Dude you gotta be the best reviewer on Gunpla I’ve seen. You’ve got lots of skill when it comes to lighting/editing/overall video quality. Your audio is perfect and you speak smoothly with personality. You don’t abuse your kits like some do, or ramble on and on like THEY ALL DO.

I built mine today the the waist is as weak as my Mk. II's. It is so weak that the suit tilts after you put on the shield. I think i'm gonna sacrifice the waist mobility and glue the darn thing.

Mine's a huge mess. Nearly all of the joints were loose, ESPECIALLY the waist, where it's almost impossible to have it stand straight. Had to made a few adjustments and modifications myself to make the kit atleast a bit bearable to pose. But yeah, best looking RG out of the box
The RG Sinanju looks absolutely STUNNING and it's one of my personal favorite MS designs but I'm still on the fence about it. floppy model kits drive me insane but I know that I'll eventually come across it at a shop and the temptation will probably be too much

I just finished this model and while it is true it is somewhat finicky, it simply looks stunning once assembled.
I don't understand why so many reviewers are complaining that the yellow thrusters should be gold. When have they ever been gold? I know on animation cells it's hard to tell the difference between gold and yellow but on every kit made of the Sinanju the thrusters vents have always been yellow.
Hope they make the Unicorn Gundam RG!!!!

I doubt a unicorn RG will be available in the near future. It's just not feasible, especially if it's gonna incorporate the transformable feature.
Yet I still Question why Bandai had to place the Beam Naginata and Bazooka separately

get the weapon systems 007 which comes with the bazooka for ng sinanju and a beam spear thing and see if the bazooka will fit to the rg sinanju as it looks like they beam rifle is the same as the hg beam rifle
Nice review! I agreed with everything you pointed out. It's a finicky kit but looks fantastic, and as one who builds and displays, this is a solid out-of-the-box display item.

I had the kit for a while but only finished it last night after filling empty spaces and painting small details. The only issues i really have are a few loose connections like the back pack thruster covers, the side skirts, and the toes. Thinking of this kit falling over makes me a little nervous butnits what ive come to expect with Rgs

Grabbed a rg sinaju last week. (I was out for a grocery run and was in a rush to ge home quickly and wanted to add something to my backlog) I opted for rg sinjau because i heard bad things about rg rx 78-2 and freedom (the only rg available). When i got some free time I went to watch reviews about this kit and now i'm afraid of getting it out of its box lmao.
I'd highly recommend purchasing the upgrade set (weapons and effect parts), also an action base 2.
Something I'd find useful in Gunpla reviews of models that can be loose- how fixable are they with a bit of nail polish, or are they beyond help?
With this release I wonder how long it'll be before they put out a Real Grade Unicorn. But I can only imagine the transformation at 1/144 scale being a nightmare.
well, the next release is supposed to be a RG build strike gundam from BF
no one even like that gundam... would be so much better if they do god/double zeta/ or even age(with parts for atleast the first 3 forms) would be better

All the thrusters (even the ones you can't see!) and the weapons. The paint I used was Tamiya Metallic Black.

love this kit i've only got the legs done so far and man it's got a alot of peices
I built mine and only had problems with the toes and a knee covering, the back pack does way down the suit but other than that its been a great kit in my collection
I really like this mobile suit's design, but Iäve been thinking about getting MG version. Though I'm not sure how those golden+black armor pieces are handeled in that version

No in both the Mg Ver Ka, MG ova they're both either water slide decals or foil stickers. I just hand painted it because I dislike the stickers and I didn't want to deal with water slides lol
The RG is by far most the prettiest of them all. But honestly after building all variations I gotta say the mG ova is the most stable and has the most accessories
Can you point out the three interior hinges in the torso? I only know the peg on the waist which allows pivot left to right, the two hinges that make it move back and forth, making it three. Though you said ab crunch so what's the other hinge?
Just built this kit yesterday. Looks amazing but the only problems are that part of the right leg frame broke so I have to fiddle with it to get it to look right and the wrists keep popping off when changing hands. Other than that the rest is good

i have the mg sinanju..like it a lot..bigger than any mg grade of the 1/100 size..i dont have a lot of gundam kit..i have the ex-s gundam msa-0011 ext..mg red frame gundam..mg g gundam..and mg strike freedom..and a few transformers toys and a macross vf 25s..

How did you stop yours from falling apart?
Every other review I've seen, and everyone I've actually spoken too about this kit, show/say that it has a weak waste joint and the arms/backpack/torso tend to fall off.
Frosk Prime Well its probably because he built his carefully for example when Hobbylinkjapan reviewed and talked about it one of the people built it once and the first time it was incredibly unstable and when he built it a second time being more careful that time it turned out to be incredibly stable. Also if you bend the ab crunch enough the torso locks in place

Would you say that simply taking your time through the build is enough to avoid most of the problems that Mecha Gaikotsu encountered in his build, or do you have to essentially build this twice like Syd did in order to get it right? I'm looking at this or the HGUC kit. Both are expensive for their grades.
Honestly, if you can handle the gold stickers, the HGUC is incredibly detailed and slightly sturdier than the rg
Unless you really want the RG, i'd go with the HG. Heres my HG that i did a bunch of work on, and id say it looks as good, if not better than the RG, mostly because its not such a flimsy kit

I'm not sure. Maybe I just got lucky and got a Sinanju with good tolerances. But obviously, never rush a build - if there's one thing I've learned with gunpla it's that patience is king.

The P-Bandai Bazooka is from where those Bazookas came from. You CAN use it for this kit.

Good review good sir! I've been seeing other reviews having problems with their kits being loose besides the obvious waist. Forearms, knees and shoulders most of the time.

You definitely can. Mine felt secure enough not to warrant glue.

Choose another, High grade Kits are easier and if you mess up, you will be safer since they are cheaper.

Would you say it's possible to tighten the waist joints with polish of some kind? Or, would that not work due to how the parts connect?
Well it's a hinge joint so it might not be as effective as say with a ball socket. You might just cease the joint and remove articulation altogether. Though in this case that might not be such a bad thing.

i built this kit its a hand grenade the prettiest hand grenade you will ever own but still a hand grenade best to keep it on the shelf and a bottle a super glue just incase

Sadly mine can't even hold it's shield.. Some parts falling off, and can't stand without falling.
This is the prettiest kit I've ever built but it's brittle as fck! Definition of a hand grenade but it's definitely a beauty. Still a worth buy though
i heard 2018 version onwards of the RG Sinanju were tweaked to be more stable? Is it still finicky?
