Extra notes:
1. I didn't realize how dark the grey would be and I don't like it. It was supposed to be a very light grey, like you would get in the multi-tone RG kits and I wanted to use color placement as a visual trick to make the Gundam look thinner. But I screwed up! lol
2. I picked the wrong shade of blue. Originally I wanted something like a pale indigo but went back to blue at the last minute because I didn't want to stray too far from the Barbatos Lupus' original color scheme. I hate it. I should have stuck to my original plan.
But there you go, you live and you learn. Overall I'm satisfied with how it turned out. Still might buy another and start over... we'll see! If you've got any questions feel free to ask.
Oh noooo! I was wondering why it turned out dark... :c. But the Barbatos still looks epic either way especially with those red eyes.

He's probably asking for the brand you use incase he missed if you did mention it. He obviously knows its metallic red. But depending on the company the tint can be different, and if he's asking you he probably wants to keep it similar to yours.

hi i got a question here about your painting. so i see you painted the pistons on the waist and the rotation mechanism on it's arm guns. won't the paint get scratched off when you move them? i am considering soing the same but i am curious about paint scratching.

imgur.com/a/0N5gS - It's still a WIP but I think there's enough done to show you what it would look like when completed. I also lack the money and equipment to do proper painting. The purple is handpainted and topcoated with Pledge floor polish, and the red and yellow are sharpie markers.
Oh that looks cool! Surprised you decided to keep the Vfin yellow though.
I thought about making it red at first, but I worried the V-fin would get lost amongst all the other red. Plus I'm taking a couple of small liberties with the colour placement for the sake of keeping it interesting.
I don't remember when you started doing it, but the way you go over articulation by continuously cutting to the points of articulation instead of one long cut really makes for a smoother watch compared to your older videos.
You might be the first person to mention the change and actually like it. I received a lot of backlash when I changed the format.
Really looking forward to this arriving EVENTUALLY... I ordered it from a Japan-based seller on Amazon, but when it arrived in the UK it got sent back for some reason... I ordered it in the middle of december...
Actually the full mechanics as they say in the Box and booklet (in ENGLISH!!! :D ) are the detailing on the armor and not the inner frame. Just got this and haven't gotten around on assembling it, but I think I ll do the panel lining prior to assembling it. Can't wait to get my hands on the 1/100 Vidar. They would look great together! Thanks for the review!

To be fair, the series has had it's fair share of ups and downs. The middle chunk of S1 and the first third of S2 were awful.

***** I have to be honest & say the only series I've genuinely loved since 00 is Build Fighters. It took one of my favourite animé Angelic Layer, ramped the production value up to 11 and then played me like a fiddle. Can't wait until season 3 & hopefully an RG Build Burning.
Yeah some lows but overall one of the better MSG I mean way better than that gawd awful gundam fighter or worse try...

what did you weather with? I have the tamiya weathering master kits but i don't know if I should go with soot or sand/mud
if I were to rank the full mechanics line my number one would be the Lupus... the Vidar, followed by Bael, Lupus Rex..... I really do like the Lupus :) its ny favorite of the IBO line....

what kind of Red acrylic did you use for the shoulder pads? Did you use any under layer of silver acrylic first before layering with red to get that metallic look?
Z Ramirez I believe he did, first the metallic paint, then a few coats of transparent red.

not sure about the orange antenna, but everything else almost like lifted straight out of the anime. Nice paint job for a nice kit.
Last I checked the barbatos didn't have all the grey in the anime!
but to me, grey suits the IBO aspect much much better than white
when do you think we will get a MG? personally, i think ibo is an old enough show to get its own line up Master grade kits.

Would u say this toy is safe for a toy like function? say giving it to an 8 year old? would the plastic wear and brake at the joints?
I've heard from someone that full mechanics model's joints tend to loosen up over time? I'm guessing you have had this model for a bit and I wanted to ask if it's true or the joints stay as strong as they are out of the box.
I can't really answer that. I've painted all my kits to the joints are super tight on mine.
I was under the impression the 1/100 ibo kits were simply given the title of "full mechanics" as to differentiate them from other no grades. Because tbh ibo 1/100s are of s different level then other no grades in my opinion.
The first season's 1/100s weren't part of the full mechanics line.

Why didn't you remove the safety nubs on the v-fin? Love the paintwork you did but that minor detail bugs me haha.
I actually really like the nubs on this v-fin. They seem to look like a natural part of the design!

HI everyone my name is Jeremy foster. i recently built a a Barbatos lupus but i broke the mace sword from the handle and i rotated its 200mm guns too much and now its loose and wont stick to well on the sides of the lupus arms. if anyone who has built the Barbatos lupus kits and has any idea on how i can fix the mace sword and the rotating 200mm gun weapons that would be great. i think i can fix the mace sword with plastic cement glue and not to sure about the guns but if anybody has any tips on how i can fix them that will be great. any advice will be highly appreciated.

TYPE V3 actually its pink
Jetfire48 The Flauros' HG kit (If I'm not mistaken) uses a shade similar to the one from the HG Shiden. Which is why it's red.
The thing that boggles me is the fact that the P-Bandai Ryusei-Go Shiden is in the right shade of pink, and so is the original Ryusei-Go. Bandai's weird sometimes.
