I love Barbatos, it's design feels so unique to past Gundams as it evolves. Instead of a hero it evolves to truly become a beast/monster throughout the series.

@@KressfallVT You have to admit that they are correct in some regard; every battle Barbatos walked away from bruised and beaten only made it stronger and furthered its evolution. In the end it took two to three orbital strikes to put it down, otherwise ghallahorn would have been massacred by the demon wolf king. All hail Barbatos!!!
Mate you forgot something very important, the naming of barbatos. Barbatos along with the rest of the 72 gundams were named after the 72 demons of the Ars Goetia (with the exception of vidar and haraboshi) barbatos was the 8th gundam and the 8th demon in the line up and was given the title of duke and his name means bearded which is why he is often depicted with a beard
Vidar is the upgraded version of kimaris and is later upgraded to kimaris vidar, hajiroboshi is originally the asw-g-35 gundam marchosias

I think more IBO kits in general are needed. Finding the Reginlaze Julia is seeming like a pipe dream
Here in the states they actually reissued almost the whole line this year with only the kutan booster and some option sets that haven’t gotten the treatment yet. I was shocked to be able to buy a hashmal at retail.

Another IBO MG would just be a money printer, if they could make a Gusion Rebake or Rebake Full City with secondary arms that don't flop over time it would be incredible. Even just Barbaros Lupus would be a bestseller

Barbatos Lupus, the form we see at the start of season 2, was my first ever gunpla that I built. I've never seen the anime, so I watched it after building it, and it's easily my favorite one.
Barbatos was my first proper introduction to Gundam. I absolutely love its design, its variants, and especially its pilot

I thought IBO was amazing; it completely redefined whole mecha genre for me. In my opinion, this entry deserves alot more love than it recieved in both anime and model kits.

Ya I was a tad bit annoyed when he said the 6th and final form..... wtf you never mentioned Lupus or Lupus Rex. Plus Lupus Rex has the best weapons. Freaking claws and a tail. Ya let's not mention those 2 things at all.....
The funny part about it .. I actually like that series and I respect how the ending went and I feel with the model kits they could have done more with the kits and added other weapons as well that was not added in the original kits and a little bit off subject ..I took the 1/144 Barbatos Lupus Rex and the Beal Gundam and combined them together and came up with two different types and here they are

Barbatos, barbatos lupus, and barbatos lupus rex is great. After series full of laser gun, beam saber in early 2000.
It bring some fresh air. A gundam like its name barbatos is barbarian.
Barbatos was the Leader of Hell's army. Mika always fought on the front lines leading the army of Tekkadan in the front. With him on the battlefield, Tekkadan felt invincible and where willing to march through Hell.
I'm quite looking forward to the MGSD Barbatos. I have high expectation for that kit given what Bandai have been able to do with Freedom in SD format. I do hope they come with spare parts to build all the different forms of Barbatos.
This is a great format, learning about the Gundam and a bit of ability and lore, along with discussing design. Good stuff!

So the rebake part of gusion’s name is in reference to its color which is a type of coffee, the full city expands on it

I will say, it’s interesting there was no mention of a lupus or a Rex, well, other then the Saw Mace looking like a t-Rex’s head. Maybe Barbatos part 2?
I'm actually a HUGE fan of the Barbatos Lupis, The long sword mace, and the 200mm canons on the arms, so cool.

I was watching this video while building the Mg Barbatos (4th form) and after that I started to watch the anime since I started to build Gunpla only recently I want to watch all the gundam series so this video came on a perfect timing !

One good thing about model kit line is that they are the only hg that I know to have inner frame(thought they are kinda loose)

I am huge fan of barbatos too!! FYI,There is a expansion pack for MG Barbatos from Bandai that allow you to transfer to form 1st to 6th from the original MG barbatos. Look forward if you work on 6th form.

There was expansion set for the master grade and the high grades that did come out there was a collection through the one through six forms if I'm not mistaken they might do another master grade eventually i assume but right now it still heads or tails apparently there was a rumored real grade coming out too
Yup I think he missed that one, even though he did mentioned in his barbatos 2.0, that he used the expansion kit to build

I watched a good amount of Gundam series. Only a few are worth buying on Blu Ray after watching the whole show. This series is one of them.
You forgot about the PBandai Expansion set for Barbatos which allows it to be converted to other Barbatos forms.

It's funny that it's first form is actually just it's form after the calamity war so technically it's the second form
I absolutely loved this series and it's mechs (mobile suits)
The Lupus form is my absolute favourite mobile suit from gundam.
I'm actually using Gundam barbatos as a base for a custom with a GN drive with fangs
Just finished that series on Netflix and loved it.
I am kind of glad that there isn’t many model kits of Barbatos since my current budget can’t keep up with me trying to buy any kits related to Barbatos and others models too XD

Bandai please give us a PG Barb Lupus rex! Also the MG Frame is already useable for not just variants of Barbatos but other IBO Gundams so you could make Expansion packs for the MG to make Bael and other models.
Mikazuki burden comes from the man machine link not the twin reactors tho

And the best part of Iron Blooded Orphans was always that the size of the Gundams and Mobile Suits were more realistic, at least somewhat from a physics perspective.

Hi, when i finished my barbatos a few months ago, his waist felt very loose and the body came apart from the legs really easily. any tips i could use to prevent this in the future?
Spray some top coat on the inner frame joints pre-assembly. That helps with my vidar, barbatauros, graze ein, & that one shiden that converted into sniper unit last year. They still hold their joints firmly even after almost 2 years on the my shelf.
It's a shame that the innerframe of IBO kits tend to be utter garbage due to the massive use of polycap.
Either way, hope this could help with your problem.

rewatching IBO atleast 12 times. only other ive watched that many times is Waltz ... barbatos is just a monster of a suit, and mikas last stand was by far the best

I wish there were more models. Barbatos is the coolest gundam ever built.
The MG Barbatos has an upgrade kit that has all forms. So either switch out the armor for what you want or buy 6 MGs lol
Lupus rex my favorite variant.
Gundam barbatos lupus Sd ex-stadard was my first gunpla kit and I confess that I didn't like the design very much but after watching the anime I started to love it because it has a unique design compared to others in the franchise that almost have the same design after I I bought my first hg Barbatos lupus as it was on sale and it was quite satisfying and relaxing to build it. My only problem with this kit is that it doesn't come with the 200mm guns included. I hope one day there will be a unique Gundam like Barbatos
