Depends on the neighborhood or town it is at. As someone who has worked at 2 locations in separate towns that are several miles and towns away from each other. I can say all Walmart attracts those kinds of entitled idiots but the location determines how many you will see or the level of intelligence and ghetto you will have to deal with. I have dealt with drunks who hang out in the parking lot harassing people to individuals who can't believe the inventory could be wrong on the website and app and are determined to find something we are out of stock. I know target and a whole bunch of stores have the same problem but I think Walmart gets it more because they have a wide catalog of affordable goods that attract more people.

I grew up with 4 female Carens and one male version (what ever they are called). I had kids with a male Caren. That's 5. I had 5 in my life for about 45 years. I got a divorce, got full custody of my kids, then a bout 8 years later my kids and I cut all ties to them. We moved several states away, and now live in a wonderful little town. Cutting ties and moving was the best thing we ever did.

Before I got gray hair, I'd found that a stern, low pitched: "Now Hear This." (followed by "I don't work here, or other line) works wonders with idiots who are trying to force you to "do your job", or something else like they were a 4 star admiral and you were just out of boot camp!

That little kid story made my day so much better! If contact were allowed and I ever came close to hugging distance, I would ask to hug her. I always ask permission from parents AND the kid before touching a kid because I had some bad experiences when I was a kid and don't want to cause scars. I even ask my son before I hug him. That girl made me so very happy just by telling her story that I hope someone she trusts gives her lots of hugs! I can almost feel hugs from her, and I hope her family always appreciates her hugs! Yes, you probably got it right, I was never hugged enough as a child. Not that I actually trusted anyone to hug me when I was a child. i have a storry for you. a few years ago, i was looking for a new job. i sat in a flor from a big kompany and waited for a speakout with the personel manager he (he was longer in a meeting as expected). then i saw a liitle girl maybe 5 years old komming out off his room. she was told to wait outside for a few minutes. i throw smile at her. after a minute of looking each other she tells me with pure joy that she loves drawing. i telled her that i like drawing to, and thats is part of my job in some cases (elektrical plans). she asked me if i could show her some of my drawings. so we looked trough my beginner drawings (anime and landscapes) on my laptop. then she discovered a pencil icon on my desktop and asked me if i draw with this. i showed her the programm (has cost me 300€ and is used to draw and organise elektric plans.)the rest of the waiting time like 10 minutes we used that 300€ program to draw "a house and a few threes". bad thing they dont hired me bacause bad worktimes for dude without a car. but this made my morning

I’ve made this mistake of running into a store with business casual clothes, and a lanyard, many times. I was misidentified was an employee a couple of times, but each one was pretty harmless and wholesome. I was misidentified at a Target, Toys’R’US, Best Buy (the most of all stores, due to my dress and lanyard), and even a Wal-Mart. For the Best Buy encounters, I helped most of the people as I used to shop there A LOT, and knew the store well. I even knew some associates by their first name and they recognized me when I came in. I rarely needed help.
I honestly look forward to your posts every day. It keeps me from being super bored while working. I’ll keep listening, even when I have to go back into my office!

Or, @sshole needs to be taken care of -- -- -- well you get the idea!) Another friend calls it my "Target In Sight!" look.... either way, it has saved me and a few others having to deal with idiots for more than a minute!!! (Yes, I've helped younger people I don't even know... A family friend says I have two primary modes: The Silly Uncle, and the Protective Uncle.... And I loath bullies!)

As you can see, I have the unfortunate name of Karen. I was working at Walmart the other day (cashier) and a little girl pointed to my name tag and asked me if I was mean. I told her I'm not THAT Karen.. She's a different Karen. But she made my day

That little kid story made my day so much better! If contact were allowed and I ever came close to hugging distance, I would ask to hug her. I always ask permission from parents AND the kid before touching a kid because I had some bad experiences when I was a kid and don't want to cause scars. I even ask my son before I hug him. That girl made me so very happy just by telling her story that I hope someone she trusts gives her lots of hugs! I can almost feel hugs from her, and I hope her family always appreciates her hugs! Yes, you probably got it right, I was never hugged enough as a child. Not that I actually trusted anyone to hug me when I was a child. There is a reason I don't claim most of my family, and you are better off not asking.

i have a storry for you.
a few years ago, i was looking for a new job. i sat in a flor from a big kompany and waited for a speakout with the personel manager he (he was longer in a meeting as expected). then i saw a liitle girl maybe 5 years old komming out off his room. she was told to wait outside for a few minutes. i throw smile at her. after a minute of looking each other she tells me with pure joy that she loves drawing. i telled her that i like drawing to, and thats is part of my job in some cases (elektrical plans).
she asked me if i could show her some of my drawings. so we looked trough my beginner drawings (anime and landscapes) on my laptop. then she discovered a pencil icon on my desktop and asked me if i draw with this. i showed her the programm (has cost me 300€ and is used to draw and organise elektric plans.)the rest of the waiting time like 10 minutes we used that 300€ program to draw "a house and a few threes".
bad thing they dont hired me bacause bad worktimes for dude without a car. but this made my morning

I used to work at Walmart like 3 years ago, overnight stocking (babyworld & dairy were my usual areas) and I saw a LOT of interesting characters.
My most memorable will always be when it was probably near 3 am and some guy who looked like he was in his 40s and acting stoned as hell (clumsy, muttering to himself and perhaps a bit giggly) was just hanging out in the baby section wearing a bra and booty shorts. You do you broh.
Oh, to have been there when he woke up the next morning.... Reminds me of "if a blind hooker got dressed in the dark" - yeah, THAT look!

I’ve made this mistake of running into a store with business casual clothes, and a lanyard, many times. I was misidentified was an employee a couple of times, but each one was pretty harmless and wholesome. I was misidentified at a Target, Toys’R’US, Best Buy (the most of all stores, due to my dress and lanyard), and even a Wal-Mart. For the Best Buy encounters, I helped most of the people as I used to shop there A LOT, and knew the store well. I even knew some associates by their first name and they recognized me when I came in. I rarely needed help.
The last story was soooo cute! I bet the kid was just the most precious thing in that moment!
