That 3rd story... Years back, just before Disneyland Shanghai opened, I read an article that the park released an etiquette guideline for their guests just after the soft opening. One of the rules was that guests couldn't lay down on the floor. The author of the article pretty much said that was an unnecessary rule, since, according to them, only little kids would do that, and that it was weird that they would make such a rule, which is understandable if you didn't know the context. Welp! Now I know the answer as to why they made that rule!

I don't understand why the pastor would chew him out for nor being a Good Samaritan. I don't generally have an inclination to help someone when they act the way she did, and any stranger getting so close I can feel their breath on my neck is likely going to address the floor with their butt.

I'm told I can be very intimidating sometimes. I'm not tall or buff but my father raised me and he never took any guff.
I would have stepped right up in that hag's grill and explained she was one reason I quit that job, that everyone there hated her toxicity and if she touched me again I would touch back HARD.
You have to stand up to bullies, they will never stop otherwise. Of course retail workers are constrained, but other customers could help. About ten other folks and I literally booed a Karen out of Dollar General once.

@@philopharynx7910 Both my daughters are gifted when it comes to animals. Liz, 25, rescued a 70lbs Pit Bull literally off the streets of Tulsa OK. Liz saw the dog laying there, jumped out of the car with a bottle of water, gave the dog water while gently petting. I did mention that Liz RAN UP TO a 70lbs strange PIT BULL!! Liz invited the dog into the car, and went to the Wendy's just down the street and bought some chicken nuggets. Maybe not the healthiest food for a dog, but Liz doesn't ride around with an emergency stash of Pro Plan in the car. Fortunately, Liz works at a shelter, so that is the next stop. Upon getting the dog to the shelter, a friend volunteered his belt as a makeshift lead. They take the dog into the shelter. The dog is examined. Liz stayed with the dog the entire time. Turns out, the dog is a female, and is pregnant. Liz told me that the dog was probably about 1 day from dying. Also, the dog is pregnant. Already story is too long. Push/ shove. The dog's name is Cookie now. Liz adopted her, but for reasons, was unable to keep her. So now I have a 70lbs abused, neglected, abandoned, and subsiquently rescued Pit Bull in my home. Her name is Cookie. She is a wonderful dog who's favorite activities include cuddling and receiving belly rubs. Cookie has become Momma's dog, gently plays with our grandson, and is the most loving animal I've ever been even near. When Momma gets home, Cookie lays at her feet.

Kids are generally as smart as their parents allow them to be(at that age at least). If parents answer questions properly, in detail, and without the refusal to use big words, a kid will retain most, if not all, of the information. Treat kids like they’re too stupid to learn anything, and they won’t learn much of anything. A young child’s brain is a sponge; knowledge is the water it soaks up.

Ive never worked retail but was in restaurants forever lol but I too can't deal with too messy shirts or worse-a shirt/dress/pants on the ground. I always pick it up. I pick up stuff others drop on the floor even in the food aisles. Luckily for me my friend from high school is the manager and always appreciates my efforts. But I do have the reputation of being "your friend who finds rotten/ open/spilled or hidden stuff in the store, is here" ive found a 20lb pork roast behind the shampoo -yogurts behind more shampoo an exploded can of smoked oysters that someone had cracked the tab open to smell it I guess and then hid behind all the other cans.
Broken jars of pickles or sauce. You name it. I've been told that its the right thing to do yet I worry they think I'm doing it. I just have super sensitive sense of smell. My freind says I'd rather you find it before it goes completely rancid.
But he said he usually just rewinds the surveillance to watch who does it so they can try and keep them out. He knows its not me.

I’ve worked retail, but no job that requires folding/fixing stuff like that. I’ve just always fixed things I find in disarray regardless, even as a child . And it wasn’t bc I was raised that way either! My parents were assholes and my mother used to tell me to stop doing that like she was embarrassed by it. She would tell me that I don’t work there and it’s not my job and I would say something like “I don’t have to be an employee to be helpful” or “they have enough crap to worry about.” Some people are just nice!

She always knew how to get her way
Just act a little bit wild
And someone will surely come to play
It's a truth she took to heart
But humility and patience didn't come with age
She's born to play this part
    A diva's always center stage
Toddler's cries that grow louder and louder
    Relishing in untestable power
Glowing red in a black and white scene
The one and only candle queen
Stoking the flames that burn higher and higher
Royalty with a crown of fire
    Setting ablaze an extravagant scene
The one and only candle queen
    Addicted to adrenaline
    And always looking for attention
    Thought to be so genuine
When she's suddenly met with apprehension
    The fighting has begun
And she'd do anything to get ahead
Like using people as ladder rungs
And sweeping eggshells under the bed
Toddler's cries that grow louder and louder
    Relishing in untestable power
Glowing red in a black and white scene

    Setting ablaze an extravagant scene
The one and only candle queen
Ah, but there's hope for you still
    Before it all comes unfurled
Ah, you just need to chill
It's not the end of the world
She just can't help but be this way
She lost her true self long ago
Now all her friends have been pushed away
Because a caricature is all they know
Toddler's cries that grow louder and louder
    Everyone rushing to disavow her
All alone in a black and white scene
The one and only candle queen
Hurt by the flames that burn higher and higher
Clutching a broken crown of fire
All alone in the final scene

If you are grabbed/yanked and it is on video and you react with a swing or grab in response then yes it is self defense. Anything done to put distance between you and your assailant is usually okay, my roommate pepper sprayed a woman who grabbed her in a store.

    • @nyxspiritsong5557
      @nyxspiritsong5557 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    • @suruthebeast4065
      @suruthebeast4065 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Technically yes if they attacked you first but beware double standards. I am a 6'2" 250lbs male and I used to work as a bouncer, I had a woman come up to me and slap me after I told her I needed to see her ID (she was under 18 so I was validated for my request by the end). I told her to back off or I would have to remove her from the doorway... she slapped me again so I just grabbed her wrist, turned her around and shoved her back out into the sidewalk behind the line of people waiting to get in.
I got called into trial for assault not long later and was almost placed on a few lists for assault, anger management, etc etc. The only saving grace was that there was a camera on site that caught the whole thing on footage.
She had lied and said I had punched her, kicked her, and slapped her behind after I wouldn't let her in without a 'favor'. Everyone not from the club was deadset on defending her until that footage was drawn in as evidence and I got off without a problem, pressed defamation charges and anything else I could and went on with my life.
My point is... if you're a guy be careful even if you're in the right to defend yourself and don't do anything wrong you can still get nailed because society tends to automatically exonerates ALL women from blame unless you have compelling evidence. I'm not some woman fearing right-wing clown... but just know a womans lie is actually far more valuable than a mans truth nowadays.
So be careful with who you defend yourself against and where you do it... make sure you have receipts and film of the incident.

    • @abigailphoenixthepaperaddi2501
      @abigailphoenixthepaperaddi2501 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Want to add: if you don't know if the place has cameras or not, don't do ANYTHING until the Karen (male or female) has left a mark on you - a bruise or what you are sure will develop into one, a scratch, etc. If its a finger waving in your face or they are "too close for comfort", just back up and keep backing up. Try to make it where at least one other person can act as witness. Eventually, the Karen will either give up or get so stupid-angry they will lash out and leave a mark on you. THAT'S when you can act to defend yourself.
Also, try not to turn your back - keep this person in your peripheral vision at all times. Think of these people as predators... you wouldn't turn your back on a snarling lion or a roaring bear, so don't do it to them... you could end up with far worse than a bruise and the Karen can claim all kinds of things and act the "victim". Keep your wits with you, anger at bay, and know that if you have evidence to prove they touched you, you are well within your rights to defend yourself.
Basically, do your best to try not to escalate the situation, to retreat as needed, and to attempt to at least move to the point there are witnesses - the more, the better.
Its sad that so many people like this are out there to the point that we have to ask about the legal effects of defending ourselves from these 2 year olds trapped in an adult body.
