How long does it take to charge from 0 to 100% with the 65W charger?. Personally I would rather not use a fast charger due to battery health. Would like that battery to last a couple of years at least. Will probably just charge mine to 80%

Cons are probably the price and lack of on board mouse input.

It absolutely blows my mind that no one is talking about what performance looks like in things like call of duty, etc. when you manually adjust the VRAM to 8 GB and still have 16 GB of RAM left over. Why is everyone doing performance testing leaving the VRAM to 4 GB? There are so many games that will benefit hugely in performance by having a gigabytes of vram!
Ltt apparently did some testing and they say in 1080p it's about 10 percent better which is about going from 60 to 67 fps. Don't think of it as a huge performance improvement. But it will be much more stable frame rate. That said, the chasis and fan are updated so it will be a fair bit colder and with the bigger battery you can totally get a good overclock out of it.

I sold my Xbox series s, Nintendo oled, and ps portal, and I got myself the rog ally x. I have to say it was totally worth it. I tried the original Ally and Steam Deck before but returned them both, I think this is it. I’m a casual gamer, so I think between the ps5 and rog ally x, I’m good for a while 😂
Honestly, all you really need is a PS5 and handheld pc. Xbox doesnt do exclusives and switch can be emulated with the handheld pc. Then you can play ps5 exclusives in the ps5 in 4k n stuff.
But this one has optimisation like a regular pc minus u can't upgrade it's specs. Ps5 or xbox series x will still continue to run smoothly for next 3 years despite being old.

Love mine. First time I have been amazed by something in gaming in a really long time. It blows my mind I can basically play a super-powered switch, with virtually any game. I played Halo MCC online last night and it was smooth. Just amazed how great it is.
I got this delivered on Saturday and over all I’m impressed. I originally sent back the 1st ally due to the battery life and I can safely say the x has cured that issue. I’m now debating selling my oled steam deck and rocking the ally x as my portable of choice
no it sucks for aaa games. these handhelds are indie game machines. dont listen to anyone that says they can run aaa games. they hitch like crazy and do not have stable frames and you have to play plugged in which to me defeats the purpose of a handheld or play on lowest settings and the game still doesnt run great and now looks blurry

The ability to connect any external GPU really future proofs this for me. Those aren’t cheap. However, I don’t think I’d need one until way down the road and the prices go down - you don’t even NEED it it’s just nice flexibility

Ive been pondering the X for months as i have the OG ally with 2tb 2230. The fps range is not that much different 5-10 frames most games but what i really wanted was a black ally with 2280 capacity out of the box without snipping or modding, for a 4tb ssd. I am still 50/50 on if it is worth it. I am an eliteist when it comes to pc and tech i MUST have all the new stuff but I need to change that thinking too.

I’m a travel nurse so I’ve been looking for a mobile gaming device to enjoy in my travels to play all FFs not named 11 and 14, starting from 1 (long term project), Skyrim, ME LE, and the DAs. Given my use case and the fact that I can get it for $400 instead of $800 would this be the best device for me to go with. I’ll get a gaming laptop later on when the 5000 series comes out, but for now I just want something simple. Is this better than the GO? Thanks

I gave up my Steam Deck for the Ally X. Installed Bazzite OS and dual booted Windows. No regrets! Best handheld in the market right now

Almost there just needs touchpad and OLED screen. Really like that there is a full size NVME ssd.
Touchpad and oled is no need for me ...better if make display little bigger ..not much but 8 inch will be ok for long sesions
Any display that isn't Oled tech sucks. Looks like total ass especially in bed in a dark room. Oled and mini led is the only way.

OLED would be a bad decision for a device that is just for gaming. Burn-in sucks and OLED is overrated.
Wrong and wrong... 3rd generation OLED's don't have burn in issues and OLED with HDR cooks other panels. I would know I have them side by side.
