So realistically you may not see an Ally 2 until 2026 at the earliest. All thes upcoming handhelds are still using the same Z1 extreme chip, and a chip equivalent to it.

Thanks for watching! Good point. It’s fun to have devices and lots of ways to game, but the best gaming device is the one that fits YOUR lifestyle best 😊
32 gigs of RAM or a 2.5k isp display. I think these things are the peak of handheld gaming today. If you turn on vivid mode using AMD software & at the very least upscale from like 1600 to 2.5 k, you are gonna get visual fidelity that tops the Alley & it doesn’t even required OLED. I know Alley has more RAM but I was running Returnal on medium ray tracing settings & then with lossless scaling I was getting over 100fps. That’s WHILE ray tracing. But it took 16 gigs of RAM to do this & I don’t know if the Alley C can use 16 of its 24 gigs of RAM on a task like that w/o losing performance at least a little.
I was using a 32 gigs of RAM device. Combining 32 gigs of RAM w/ lossless scaling seems to enable ray tracing on pretty much any game that supports it.
at $799? but its lack of an OLED display is a letdown. At this price point, you'd expect better visual quality, and its 120Hz IPS LCD doesn't offer the vibrant colors or contrast of an OLED. This makes its value questionable compared to cheaper alternatives with better displays.
I haven’t really seen a whole lot that’s more competitively priced than this. Would love to know what you’d put in the same class as the Ally X for the same value per dollar! Thanks for watching 😊
