Pro-tip on rise: IF you are lucky enough to be first, start the RP of the dragons flying to the platform first by walking towards them, once you can see them in the distance you can start opening the portal.
It was my first time ever being first! xD I will remember that for sure though!
One tip. Switch from Cloud Burst to healing stream in talents until you are more comfortable shaman.
Has good hps now and Cloud burst takes a bit getting used to.

I highly suggest going healing tide totem here/trying that play style as it is just a fire and forget style of healing. It really helped me learn the other parts of my kit without having to play around Cloudburst. Another thing I would suggest is rolling a big cooldown into almost every big pack as we have 4 to play with. Hopefully this helps, love seeing new Rshamans hope to see more content!
Thanks for the tip! So far, that' what a few people have said is to ditch the Cloudburst and swap to the Healing Tide so I am definitely going to try that out.
I picked up rsham a couple weeks ago. I forewent the cloudburst/chain heal build for a healing stream/healing wave build and I just don't use mana. The only exception is tyrannical 20+ council in EB.
As per the throughput, riptide is a super short cd blast heal+hot. If you're specced into cloudburst, you have to be using it to make it worth. Otherwise, Healing stream will passively just make your job so much easier
Yeah, I realized that I have been using Riptide only as a hot, like Rejuvenation rather than like a Holy Shock. I constantly have full charges of Riptide. That's super helpful, I will try the healing stream/healing wave build. Chain heal just consumes so much mana.
@@pokket_gaming Riptide on my 480 does around 400k healing when the target is low hp with minimal mastery. It's also incredibly efficient for mana. I do like keeping the hot active because it doesn't hurt me on mana, but nothing beats the double riptide, heal riptide guy to activate the 4 set and see a free 300k dropped on a nearby target or the double riptide every 3rd.
what i was told when i was learning R shaman that great timing with your cloud burst totems is a majority of your healing, placing one and throwing out a couple riptides and a primo wave with a couple chain heals can stack it up to over 500k+ burst heal which is insane. i have a WA for R shaman that tells you the amount of healing built up you have on it
That's something I am working on. I am so bad at using Cloudburst Totem. I actually learned recently that I can hit the button again and cause Cloudburst to go off. I thought you had to wait for the entire duration. xD I am definitely going to get that WA! Thank you for the suggestion.
The legendbehindthecow has a WA for Cloudburst in dungeons that's helps a ton.

Please more details on your vuhDo . I have a priest but can’t heal because I don’t know how to set up the VuhDo . Don’t want that to happen on my shaman and Druid . Also, where is the portal of shame! I spent the entire time in the dungeon trying to get thru those balls 😭
@@lululee1653 For sure! I'll make a quick video this week going over setting up VuhDo. And if you go to 4:00 in the video and look at the top of the stairs to the left. You will see a gold orb. That is where the Portal of Shame spawns after someone gets to the end and opens it up. And that's what I am doing when I finished running through is I am channeling the portal open, which takes a minute, so the rest of the group can just teleport and skip it. Hope that helps! :)
Fs into lb for auto crits and a bit of mana regen
Vuhdo's click casting has been largely replicated in game now with click casting available from the menus. It'll save your binds per spec. You can assign macros etc. It doesn't have smart rez casting built in like VD, or the nice colour-by-debuff-type. And the default frames need an addon to show more HOTs (for something like rdroo), or larger debuffs. But it's a step forwards.
Yeah, I've been using VuhDo since vanilla WOTLK and I've never had a reason to change. Does everything I want it to. But Blizzard is doing some big things for their UI. That's why I don't use ElvUI anymore because I don't see a need for it.

Frost dk my have been looking a bit rough in the dht key, but I assure you they can do some big dam! My buddy was screen sharing his heroic raid today and I watched a frost do like 290k on volcoross, shit was insane. His name was Obliteratør

@@pokket_gaming chain heal is your main spender though with the build you’re running so that not terrible. Just gotta make sure you get the cloudburst timing down! But there is another build that is the opposite of mana intensive and relies more on passive healing and spotting with pwave and huge healing waves. Zero chain heals too and no cloudburst!
Healing Stream is way better than Cloud Burst imo. I know it his is old but Poison Totem is so good, so many dungeons have poison.
Ya, 100%! I Ended up swapping. Not a fan of Cloudburst though I see that it could be pretty good.
