I've just reached 12:00 and thought i should say something that may help out :D
Faeline Stomp is probably one of the more important buttons/buffs to keep up, It gives you ancient teachings and It allows your spinning crane kick to heal up to three people as long as you stand inside it, or 8 seconds after you leave the blue stuff on the floor, which i've found to heal very nicely, also while standing on the blue, it allows your tiger palms to strike twice giving 2 stacks of the blackout kick buff
Chi-ji with a talent is also a very short cooldown (1 min with the talent for it) dont be afraid to press it if things get spicy! and another thing that can help (unsure if you know) but vivify does aoe healing too with people with renewing mists on them, again with a talent you can use a instant cast one every 10 seconds which can help top people

Yes! I have already filed the 2nd episode and made "some" improvements, but you'll still see a lot of mistakes :D. I realised how important Faeline Stomp is but I often get flustered and completely forget how the spec works lol.
Chi seems like there's more to it than I realised, I need to do more research about a few things!

I came accross your videos a few days ago and been loving them! As a healer I can feel your fear of neltharion's lair. First time I went there, pre nerf, it took us 2 hours and 100+ deaths 😵
I love the new upgrade system. The 5 currencies are a bit much but the fact that you only need to upgrade i.e. one belt to get all your belts to max level just by spending flightstones is amazing
That part is fantastic, I will admit. But the amount of crests are a bit much and very confusing for the simple minded like myself :D. I'm terrible at spending crests on my main cause I fear I would get the same thing from the vault and end up wasting crests (very much a ME problem). Shorten to 2-3 currencies and it's almost perfect for me :)
I've been so excited for this to come back!! Can't wait to see the journey :)

Mistweaver is a lot of fun, but as far as healers go it's definitely one of the more complicated. :D Megasett has some fantastic guides - especially for using Chi-Ji. Excited to see the rest of this season. :D

One thing I would suggest, When using clique, make weak auras for important abilities that have CDs or procs like holy shock, surge of light, and what not. You can also anchor the weak auras to your party frames. Something I've experimented with before. Also, make a weak aura text box that shows all your clique keybinds and have it hide when you're in combat so you can read up and drill them when you're not doing anything.
As someone new to Prot Warriors, it's impressive how often I forget about Ignore Pain as well. It's like the spell goes under the radar for new players.
You'll get there with some practice, don't worry!

i said the same for years. for years our guilds healer told me "try it, you'll really like it". i didn't believe him.
Then through necessity i HAD to heal in shadowlands. I can't run a dungeon as any other role now
I never thought I’d have the confidence to tank and a month later I’ve tanked heroic and got ksm just because I had the confidence to start it’s not as scary as you think
I was honestly suprised that this was starting this early! thought it would be a week or 2 before I would get to see your new challenge, tho I am excited/scared to see how you delt with incomporial since I know that I as a blood dk didnt enjoy it. But Cant wait to see how things go!
Yeah well I thought about it and I have 3 challenges planned for Season 2. Season 1 was only 20 weeks so I might not even get them all done but we'll see!

This actually helps me more as a DPS. Im trying to be more helpful in groups when possible. In large AOE on my priest I will pop vampire and pump, always PI someone else during big encounters and bosses for the max benefit, and dispersion in big hits. This is a fascinating view that I need to take to my other classes.
You know what, after playing this for only a couple of weeks I think I will always start the new season with a Tank/Healer/DPS to experience all sides. It's super helpful and you see everything through a different set of eyes. I would highly recommend!

I will say, whilst ancient teachings is a problem earlier on in the video, even at later points in the video, I think you need to get used to renewing mists + vivify cleave for higher keys, as I think you’re missing a large part of output from not using vivify enough!
And if it helps, you’ve picked a difficult healer for this season in m+, in a more challenging season to heal than before. Don’t feel down about it and surge on ahead!

You are very correct and I have noticed the renewing mists/vivify, I just get incredible flustered at timed and forget. First week though, could be worse? >.>

Is there a link that can direct me toward Naowh’s ui and how to set it up? I have been wanting a clean ui for years and am terrible at setting up my own. It ends up looking terrible.
Hey, I dropped a link in the video description. It's a paid pack from his Twitch account so I am unable to share his setup.
I used to use Naowh's UI but I found that Quazii does a much nicer (to me at least) UI and it doesn't require you to sub and pay. He is also a solid M+ player so all the UI's are geared for them.
Quazii's is really nice also, I used his stuff prior to Dragonflight but I thought I would experiment. It sucks having to pay, I'm not a fan but at the same time I understand

I would recommend trying Vuhdo instead of Clique btw. Took me a long time to make the transition, but once I did I would've NEVER gone back.
I've already started now and it's hard enough adjusting to change as it is, I'll take a look in the future but for now I'll stick with Clique. Appreciate the feedback :)
@@Dillisan I disagree, I have some issues with Vuhdo and healing lag in past that I never experienced with Clique. I don't know if something was misconfigured or my system couldn't handle it or whatever but I went back to Clique even though I did like Vuhdo when it worked.

In case no one's mentioned it, the Evoker in VP died to the downburst since they didn't use the twisters to get bounced up, so also not something you can really do anything about as a new healer learning the ropes.

Np. They had hover going from what I could see, so I wonder if they thought that would avoid it like how a few classes can jump over it or monks transcendence to the other side.
29:26 Lava elementals are not something you should be able to outheal.
However, because it's a 5, and dmg is still manageable, you might actually have been able to.
Chi-ji is just a 1minute cooldown, you're allowed to be more aggressive with it.
Don't forget you're still a monk, you have the awesome defensives that come with that.
Revival is a rough call, because there is a boss coming up right after. You could have used it, i just dont know if you should.
And if you're feeling overwhelmed by the buttons, get rid of chi burst, its not worth the keybind nor the GCD.
And since I've watched this bit like 20 times now: "we let one of these casts go off", it was actually 2. You'd have been more than fine with just 1 :)
@@firdatgame Yeah my WA states 2 stacks so I was well aware. In a high key I fully expect to go splat to 1 stack. Appreciate the tips, still much to learn but I am determined to smash this!
12:08 into the video and I don't think I've seen you use Faeline Stomp once, idk if you're talented for it though. Other than that, you aren't proccing Ancient Teachings of the Master with Essence Font either xD Love the videos Dilli! As someone who switched to Mistweaver as my main for season 2 and was also brand new to it, I know the learning struggle is real! It'll get much better though. Also remember to activate AT before you pop Chi-Ji so you don't waste a CJ global on it. GL!
I use it in the first few seconds of the vide :P you are absolutely correct about ancient teachings, that's the biggest mistake so far but it gets better. It sounds like there's a lot more to Chi-Ji than I anticipated, I got some more research to do :)
faeline stomp is king. Use it on cd and then spinning crane kick for big aoe heals. I've been having a lot of fun on mistweaver this season. :D Would highly recommend more faeline stomp! If you went with the Faeline Stomp build, if you make sure you're always standing in it when it's down you have a chance to reset it with your other abilities :D.
I did learn this, but because of how these recordings work you guys are a week behind. I have made some "slight" improvements :D. Very much enjoying it so far, it's very different to what I'm use to :)

Like mentioned in the video, it's not my UI and requires a paid subscription to another content creator. So although I could show it off in another video, I can't share anything with anyone. I am open to making that video though if there's enough interest
I created a weak aura to specifically track my Ancient Teachings. Super simple to do to the point I would feel embarrassed posting it on Wago. It's just a buff bar that counts down when the aura is present letting you know how long it has left. I copied it from my Shield Block buff tracker on my warrior and just changed the trigger and load condition. Honestly my Weak aura's consist of like 3 auras that I copy and repurpose for everything.
If it works for you then it's perfectly fine, seems like a great idea in this case. I do feel like I should slim down on the MW tbf, I don't look at everything so perhaps this is giving me too much to look at and making things worse.
I think at 29:40 or so I think you could have out healed that, you have revival ready, defuse magic and chi-ji, I think you could have bounced hp back in time for the AOE, obviously not ideal, also using Sheliun's gift when tank at 80% (blood dk so expected) and yourself at 60% or so. Had you saved Sheliun's gift and let the stacks build up it would have healed for alot more and most likely healed your party to full.
I tend to use Gift in replace of Revival and revival as instant "oh shit heal" and let mastery and often in higher keys (like 18's+) use Thunderfocus tea on Enveloping mist for the instant heal and instant cast when its needed or using it on rising sun kick, depending on the need. Making sure to use instant vivifys on your party to proc mastery when they are affacted by an other healing over time (renewing/essences font)

Yeah for sure I could have but I wasn't prepared and forgot about the interruptible cast which needed dealing with. I do actually use tea on Enveloping mist for the instant heal but one of the things I forget quite a bit. Often forget (or not notice) instant vivifies also. But week 1, you'll see some "slight" improvements next week but as it's already recorded don't expect much :P

In game sounds have good ques too, like freehold canons on last boss, you wait to hear the 3 cannons fire on you and on the 3rd cannon sound firing you move for the last 2
My WA's tell me everything I need to know, but some ingame sound queues can be helpful. This is just what works for me
I’m not a healing monk, or healer at all, but do keep in mind that as a monk you have so many stops.
You have your interrupt, paralysis as another interrupt, leg sweep as an AoE disrupt and ring of peace as another AoE disrupt.
Like that Neltharius you could have avoided that mob getting the molten core with any of those abilities.
This current week especially though is made for monk. You can cleanse any poison, you have an instant CC for the add and you can either stun or RoP the spiteful shades.

Yeah, fully aware of all the utility of the Monk and I love the class for this reason. First week and a LOT going on which is new to me so yeah, I'll get there :D

Cannot understand why - Sure it has its shortcomings (like mana during heavy ST healing) but overall its great. Very quickly overtook disc as my second healer (i main R.Druid)
Does removing your char from rio remove it? I thought the score was wow based now and not external rio so your score would show Ingame whether you have rio or not
there's an in-game rating system, but it's diffferent from rio.
Not sure you can completely remove your character, but I have removed mine from my mains account so he no longer shows as an "Alt". Otherwise when I apply to keys it would show my main rating of 2200 or something.

I do fistweave every once in a while but am a ww monk main. Enveloping mist should always be on cooldown and if possible dont hard cast enveloping mist or vivify. Cast soothing mist then cast yhose as they are instant. When you heal with vivify, those that have renewing mist get healed so you soothing mist first then instant cast. Good job week 1.
Soothing mists should only be used for heavy single target damage though, right? Vivify cleaving is just casting vivify on targets with renewing mists and making it bounce to the next player (at least that's how I understand it). I don't know, a lot I'm getting wrong and it's fine, all part of learning :)
lol healing is way to stressful and I agree regardless if is my fault or not if someone dies I take is personally. I tried at the start of the expansion and I'm back to tanking far less stress.
Apparently that guild only gets worse the higher you go...I'm glad I'm not alone :D
great video. tbh i lose hope with my mistweaver ever since i did BH 1st boss and underrot maggot bos. i didnt have problem healing 11-12keys in season 1 but this season really turn off my healing mood a lil bit.

@@Dillisan oh ye, helps I'm a former multi KSM healer (rdruid, mw, and demo lock) but even w/o that, a lot of these dungeons are easy to time with practice.

hearing you dont like healing the druid hurt my little guardian heart , i assure you its not the specc it was 100% the player :D
I guess it may come down to that the majority of time but it made me do the same key on my Druid with the community and well, it went perfectly fine even though I was 20ilvls lower. Druid should be fine at those levels, can't say about higher keys though :P

@@Dillisan started late season 1 Tanking after healing since classic and loved it so i jumped into the cold water you could say by picking the Bear, having trouble finding groups tho cause bear isnt much liked by the community but im having a blast and i am excited for 10.1.5 changes to bear :D
Why are playing momentum in VP I hope you still aren’t doing that lol. Also if you just press fel blade and don’t move at all you’ll stay out of range of auras or spin moves. Great vid as always tho.
Get the weak aura for healers that shows blood dk runic power or whatever it’s called it’ll show stacks and If they’ll be okay.
The no-mover build does so little damage in comparison, no chance I'm using that. And no, Fel Blade also brings you under the boss, has done so every time I use it even if I'm not moving. The same has happened for every charge-like ability on every character I've played. Sucks but is what it is.
I don't think the runic power WA is needed but maybe down the line.
Go for Keystone Hero!
First challenge of each season will always be KSM, but I have more planned ;)

try always keep your utility on cd as restro shaman a lot those packs i can either aoe stun or knock up to avoid a lot damage
Yeah I will get much better with utility once I'm more comfortable. Some things still catch me off guard, it'll improve :)

This is true, many things we can all improve on
bro dont feel bad about people dying to mechanics that arent meant to be healed blizz designed them with the intention of making it unhealable a good healer knows this and good groups understand this and plan accordingly when you get into higher content and people actually know mechanics it gets easier trust me like having full bis and doing 20 + keys is way easier than having low ilvl and low keys with people who dont know how to play the class
I'm always going to feel about deaths, it's a statistic I will always want to keep it at 0. I would love to heal in some organised groups after the challenge is over, I'm sure things would go much smoother and would be able to push higher, not sure I'd be able to heal 20's though xD

One thing you probably have to understand with me (if you're new around here), I have ADHD & Autism so I struggle with certain things. The upgrade system being one of them. It's not lazy at all, I have really tried.
KSH i would understand the difficulty i suck at wow and i can get ksm on any spec
Every player is different, not all are capable or have the confidence. For me, this is a challenge. For my Havoc DH, I finished that in the first 2 weeks of the season. We're all different
KSH isn’t even that difficult, I’ve gotten it last 3 seasons within a month. The only thing that really stops most players is just having the time to do every dungeon on Fort and Tyran at +18.
@@zetrovv It's not easy for everyone, including myself as a healer for example. I would struggle a lot
@@Dillisan i completely understand, between married life, a 9-5 job, and my own hobbies, it’s difficult to get to KSM just of the amount of time it requires. Especially in season 2 where it takes at least 15 minutes to get a group and another 45 minutes to run the dungeon at higher levels.
@@zetrovv Exactly. I use a handful of community members for example, they only get a few hours every Saturday so when they are around for stream I try my best to get them involved (we one of them KSM this weekend!)

Keystonemaster is really, really easy. For ANY class role or spec.
For your skill level perhaps, not everyone is capable.

I got my first KSM last season WITH help. I needed the confidence (which you don't lack by the looks of it) this season...I did it!..........with help again.
dont say the upgrade sistem is bad just because you didnt put any effort into understanding it.. once you play with it is super easy and it's the best thing for "casual" players blitz ever did. now you can be full gear in a matter of 2 weeks.. it's incredible! dont spread bad voices for nothing pls

Don't forget, everyone comes from different abilities and backgrounds. Some things can be hard to understand, especially something so big of a change. It has taken me at least 2 weeks to understand it fully. That's not beginner or casual friendly :D trust me, I'm a filthy casual \o/
