Glad you're enjoying Holy. Here's some advice:
1) Use Binding Heals instead of Angel's Mercy (8th row first talent one the left) this combos with Protective Light (10% dmg reduction when you flash heal yourself) giving you almost full uptime.
2) In weeks without Afflicted you should only run Improved Purify (removes diseases) on the following dungeons: AD, DhT, TotT and WM. The others don't have diseases.
3) You can solo the Afflicted with your Purify and Power Word: Life in 2 globals. Also use /cast [@mouseover] macros so you don't have to target the afflicted
4) You can queue Power Word Life with a casted Flash Heal for massive healing on a low hp target.
5) You can solo the Incorporeals with Shackle Undead and Mind Control
6) Be careful when you mind control an incorporeal, it can pull nearby bosses.
7) Use this macro /cast [@player] Angelic Feather to cast feather on yourself and /cast [@cursor] to cast it on the ground for your party

Even though i stopped playing 18 months ago even then self-healing tanks were the norm. In fact when i pala tanked, i would snipe heals off the healer sp that they could spend more time with dps and utility.
I actually really enjoyed that playstyle. And if i was healing i would be disappointed if i outhealed the tank.
Maybe the holy trinity could be changed to tank-dps-support. With support focusing almost entirely on buff/debuff. I think that could be a really interesting alternative.
Done right you could have all sorts of weird and wonderful comps.
For defensive you have a passive talent called protective light that gives you 10% dr for 10 sec after you flash heal yourself. Also I tend to use guardian spirit as a defensive for myself or others. It allows you to ignore the person for a bit due to the cheat death or heal them up faster. If the cheat death doesn’t proc the cooldown isn’t too long. For utility chastise is great and with how holy words work you can get a lot. I also like running psychic scream which fears everyone around you and locks them in place. It can be kind of used as a stun slash interrupt though it doesn’t work on everything. You can also use dominate mind and shackle undead and completely take care of incomporeal all by yourself. You can also talent into power word life and it can take care of the second afflicted easily. Hope this helps you out. A tip I'd add for afflicted on holy priest. Power word life can be clutch here. It's practicly a guaranteed full heal with one instant mouse over cast, just like dispel. Sure you want to save it ideally, but if there's two of them up and you're the only one doing anything about them, the dispel PWL combo allows you to reliably handle both in two quick gcds.

Awesome video, I also had an afflicted moment similar to yours awhile back. Didn't know that magic dispels don't work on them, luckily I got flamed pretty hard so straight after the key I checked out why it wasn't working immediately lol
I did the exact same thing last week. Switched talent build for Atal'Daza and was like, why isn't my dispel doing anything?! Luckily we had a retri pally and a mage to help out when healing them wasnt going to happen, but there was some serious apologising going on once we downed yazma, I can tell you.
Ya I had no idea. I thought a magic dispel was the baseline for those xD Apparently not.

@@pokket_gaming Quick sidenote: magic dispel doesn't work on the afflicted (tho all healers do have access to it), you need disease / curse / poison. Of course in the case of priest, if you talent both, they're the same button.

0 chance of it to happen. People wastly uderestimate the ammount of work the balance druid and SP are doing to be able to remove the healer.
No single random pug will do this to farm +20 for their vault. They just don't have the level to avoid avoidable damage and more importantly they don't have the vista of when they need to assist the rest of the group survival and when they need to rather pump DPS.
Will they be some group doing that ? Sure. I was already running some easy 20s without healer when the affix allowed for it before the MDI. But it's only on easy affix week and only some dungeon.
I can't see a reality where this level of play become "meta" when people in real PUG +20 aren't even able to properly interupt spells...
So my comment in the video stemmed from a comment I made in a previous video where I had stated that there should be more avoidable mechanics than unavoidable flat damage mechanics. And I realized, you can't do that or you're going to put healers out of the job. But I completely agree with you.
