As someone who's just slowly getting back into the game and M+ this season as a Holy Paladin, I really appreciate your content. I don't have lofty goals, and the highest key I've done so far is a +8, but seeing you tackle these higher keys is inspiring! I really hope you'll be able to reach your goal despite representing the underdog spec, but for now enjoy your vacation!
Healer dps doesn't matter that much this expansion also because healers just do no damage. During eras when healer dps can be really high, healer dps becomes quite important and absolutely the reason you time/finish some keys - glimmer hpal in bfa, venthyr hpal in SL, were able to contribute so much that it made a significant difference to the timer. In S4 dragonfligh, the timers are free as hell compared to the damage you take, and the ceiling on healer dps is lower than it used to be, which combines to it just being a lot less relevant. It only gets really important around CE keys, for example the R1 team last season secured R1 by timing a Throne by 4 seconds - this would not have happened had their rdruid had a few % less dps.
I dunno on bigger pulls I do 300-400k DPS on pulls on my holy priest, I just feel like that makes a difference. My last dungeon I did over 150m damage overall, just doing the math on how long it would take the damage based on their overall dps, I helped shave about 3 minutes off the run. If you're only timing a dungeon by 3 minutes, then it definitely makes a difference. I will say though, my overall dps is usually well over 100k which is much higher than what Pokket was talking about
Well Hpriest is S tier for damage right now. That's way more than what any Hpal could do! Haha And it's not that it doesn't make a difference, but there are a lot of players who feel uncomfortable healing and doing damage. And if you're new to healing or still improving. Just focus on healing. Don't worry about damage, and if you're in a +10 dungeon or less.
Just found your channel, good ass videos. Good luck on getting the title! I did a few dungeons with these changes and you can definitely feel the difference but it is so minor that it doesn't really help with HPal's main issues at all. Still, we can at least press our Holy Power spenders and have it not feel like COMPLETE dogshit. Now it just feels like...slightly dogshit.
Quick question. The dungeon weak aura scroll on the left, could you link it? Thank you! I am considering switching to pally heals from Druid heals, so your videos are informative.
Healer DPS is like DPS personal defensives in low keys. Are they needed? No but it greatly increases the efficiency and breathing room for the group performance. The higher you go(group dependent 14-15) both are mandatory IMO. Reducing the overall pull length for bosses and trash pulls by doing DPS it reduces the healing rotational cooldown requirement.
Bromach is 100% a dps check fight, the fight is make or break based on how fast those adds die. Ambush is brutal at higher keys, especially on tyrranical. If you're blowing all your cooldowns and have nothing left, you didn't fail on that fight, your DPS did.
Great content. As for myself also a Holy Paladin havent even done a 10 yet, im working up my confidence for them lols. Also ive never been called out yet for low damage.. average atleast 70k running a 8 key with the same trinkets you have.
Yes it's Vuhdo. I am currently on vacation so I can't give you the profile now, but I do have a TH-cam video on my page that goes over my setup. But just message me in discord and I can link it to you when I get back.
Healer dmg is a good measure of skill tho. If I see a rdruid doing 2k dps i know he isn't very good at his class. That being said, a key is almost never bricked due to the lack of healerdmg except rank 1 keys.
He’s trying to push to 19+ keys where you might have seconds before a bricked key. 1% of players even get to that. Tome being a coveted mythic+ dps trinket he might as well pick it. If you keep failing anything up to 15s, focus on healing and group needs to time their cc rotation on adds. That being said if adds are kept under control, not much healing is required with the right tanks so you might as well dps. Group composition is very important at higher levels and certain classes are essentially required which I think is a bad design for the game though. But that’s another topic entirely.
It helps but its not like keys brick only because a healer didnt do X amount of damage. On my holy priest for example i can deal way more damage than most healers and i never felt like my damage was the reason we timed the key.
Just dont understand why they just dont buff healer damage by alot.... blizzard want healers to do damage and do healing im 100% fine with that but our dmanage being 10-20% of what 1 dps do just feels useless

I miss the BFA days of glimmer. I would burst top damage for the first 30 seconds of every fight haha But completely agree with you.

Hey man, keep up the good work! Really enjoy the videos and commentary as a fellow healer enjoyer!
Thanks so much! I appreciate it. :)
When I see a "C-Tier" healer with high score you know they are good at their Class. Very entertaining video!
Thanks so much! Still have lits to improve. I attempted a +16 Ulda and couldn't get past Bromach. That's a tough fight.
@@pokket_gamingwas it too much damage?

Thank you so much! It's more than I expected them to do in Season 4, so I'll take it.
What addon is it that shows the bosses abilities and timers? I have a raid boss ability thing and it only works in raid not m+ ans cant find anything
That is a weak aura that works with DBM or Bigwigs called Boss Mechanic Countdown.
Quick question. The dungeon weak aura scroll on the left, could you link it? Thank you! I am considering switching to pally heals from Druid heals, so your videos are informative.
It's called "Raid Ability Timeline". Its plugin weakaura for DBM or Bigwigs.

Hello, thank you for the video. what's your healing addon ? is it vuhdo . If it's possible to share with us your profil.

The adds on bromach, the ones the tank raged about, you cant displace them 😂 definitely tank positioning issue
once you get to +17s youll see why you need to do at least 200k dps over all, if not +16s, good video BTW
Fairly sure the small healing buffs go live on reset day.
You're right, for some reason I though it was Monday when I posted this. 😆 idk why haha
sooooooooooo if dps doesnt matter why do u have tome trinket? sadly, u cant get to title wtihout doin considerable amount of dmg
Not really, healer dps isn't all that important RN.

100% agree. It's surprising how little healing you need to do on some fights if people use their defensives, get kicks and avoid mechanics.
Just dont understand why they just dont buff healer damage by alot.... blizzard want healers to do damage and do healing im 100% fine with that but our dmanage being 10-20% of what 1 dps do just feels useless
Unless your party plays really poorly you get both out healed and out dpsed by the tank. Which makes the healer role feel kinda lame sometimes.
Yeah, sometimes it feels like you work so hard to heal and do DPS for such a small amount of damage.
