  • Tried and tested many times, this method never fails. Easy to roll and turns out soft and stays soft for hours. I have arrived at this recipe after experimenting with many different methods and variations.
    Some tips:
-- Use the Jowar flour within 2-3 weeks of buying. Older the flour, harder it is to make soft rotis.
-- Leave the dough covered, to prevent it from drying.
Try this out and let me know how it worked for you.

I have tried so many other recipes but yours REALLY worked. Rolling the roti, without using any butter paper, was easy and the roti remained softer even after hours. Thanks for sharing your amazing technique. I don’t put salt in any of my dough so skipped here too but otherwise followed exactly. Thanks again!

Thanks So much for sharing this process. I make jowar rotis on almost a daily basis and keep looking for tips on how to make them thinner & softer. This one is the best so far. Had been using just the hot water until now for making the dough but adding oil in that per your process/boiling for a couple of mins has made a 'huge' difference. These turned out thinner and softer than wheat chapatis (and way easier to roll) and were in fact soft even the next morning! Thanks again!

I followed many videos and only yours turned out PERFECT and I could make soft & puffy jowar pulkhas without much of difficulty. My wife was all appreciation for the pulkhas.
I saw lot of good feed back coming from the viewers and decided to go with your procedure, which I followed meticulously.
