    It takes lot of hard work for making jowar roti really n its time consuming as well....i used to kneed dough for long time still result was not as expected...i will definitely try this trick now to save time n my efforts 👍🏻🌸🌸

      If you are using ready jowar flour, it will not yield soft rotis.You have to use fresh flour.

      Only for 3-4 rotti u can try this... In north Karnataka we make 10-15 rottis in nuclear family, if it's a joint thn minimum 30-40 rottis for single time...😅

    My aunt used to make yummy, thin and soft jowar rotis with her hands for dinner. I wanted to learn from her but never could find time. Sadly she passed away. I wanted to make jowar rotis for my dad but couldn't make rotis with my hands. Thank you for making this video.
    I tried it today and 2 out 4 rotis came out well!!! I had flour all over me and the kitchen 😊

    Newbie and pretty bad at making jolad rotti. This recipe has been my savior. The only thing I would change is when you're rolling the rotti, don't flip it. Just keep rolling on the same side until round, flat, and nice. Then, flip it on your hand and move it to the Tawa. Remove excess flour. Came out beautifully well.

    Normally jowar roti is very coarse n rough when its cools downb can be made into kadak rotti n preserved . This method rotti is soft when hot n after cooling but can be kept for long

Will try this trick adding wheat ...which gives binding and softness. Will update. 🙏 Will it remain madam soft even if carrying in dubba for lunch in Tupperware even in soft kapada rolled in box for lunch or become kadak. ?

    Very impressed. Am from telugu states. We usually pat it with hand when its hot. I think using your technique i can even pack them for childrens lunch. Nice.. just a quiery..will the roti not break while pressing when it gets cooled?

      Jolda is north Karnataka staple food....even they do it by patting....but this method is used for new learners......

    Lovely, appreciate the detailed instructions at each step, this helps more, just one doubt since we need to knead the dough for each roti you turn off the gas for that much time?
    Also, can we not add wheat and will still get this result?

    i am from karnataka.. and Jowar roti is must for us.. and we don't use rolling pin.. we just make using our hands and make it bigger softer delicious ❤

    If you are adding small quantity of wheat flour to this the recipie is of no use. The purpose of jowar roti is to avoid wheat

      @@pragnyaharibal373 the purpose of jowar roti is to get free of wheat. 2 spoons is also not ok if you plan a full.millet diet.
