Here! 😂 My baby been having trouble breathing for three nights due to milk stuck in her throat so I tried this method. Magically works twice now. No burp but the piggy sound disappeared and she slept peacefully now.
Me too! Struggling so hard with the ramrod straight legs and arched back coupled with screaming 😩 Post natal depression and anxiety are killing me. I'm absolutely terrified of my baby crying 😢 xx
The best advice I ever got was "let them rest". Let them chill for a minute or two before trying to burp. Doing this we get burps out almost immediately.
I’ve been unintentionally doing this. The lean forward is my burp method of choice but when there’s no burp after a few pats I lift my baby up just to talk and give her a moment and she usually burps. Definitely works and the burps are always big healthy ones that calm her immediately

On my third kid now, and I figured this out naturally as well… after sessions that have lasted up to 30 minutes long with no burp, I started to pay more attention to myself when I burped and realized I have to be in a certain position to burp… Now, after I feed my newest baby, I give her a minute to let it settle, lean her over my knee, and pat her back moving from the bottom upward… I also rub her back from the bottom up to help move the air forward, and if no burp comes, I gently lay her on her back, or in my arms in a laying position, let her chill there for a few seconds, slowly, pick her back up and voilà, the burp comes soon after! Works every time.
Oh wow! The last time I saw one of your videos you said you were done making videos. So glad to see you're still going strong and posting for the world. ❤
I too have had a lot of kids but never thought of this as a whole. Dad taught me hand under chin and then sit up to burp patting on the back. I'll try this with the next grand baby. Thanks Dr. Paul. Have a blessed weekend

THIS IS MAGIC. I have tried everything in the past month! All different techniques from women in my life, but nothing worked for my baby and the stomach aches kept them crying in the evenings. Thought to myself "hrh hrh, let's give it a try" Lifted up baby from boob, put baby in front of me on the bed and pat three times low. Two resonating burps!! It was immediate! Thank you!

My daughter had acid reflux as a baby. She would spit up so much. She actually had to take medication for it. She's now 14 and thank God, she doesn't have it anymore
This is so funny. I’m finishing up school to be a massage therapist next week and I have a 5 month old daughter and a couple of weeks ago I came to this exact same conclusion when trying to get her to burp. My baby girl also has acid reflux. I never thought of pediatric massage therapy but man that sounds so rewarding. I’m so happy I stumbled upon this video!
It works for my newborn baby. Just by holding him up and down around 3s and two times without taping in his back. Same like the 1:23 moment in your video. Thank you very much!!!❤😊
You can also sit the baby on your knee, facing away from you and bounce your leg while patting their back. (Keep a cloth draped over your leg to catch any liquid) Useful if you have one prone to spitting up and you don't want it to end up down your back or in your hair - as she mentions in the video. 😄
I could never burp my first born! She's a teen now and still can't burp. We learned it's an actual thing for some people and can be very uncomforatable esp if you drink a fizzy drink. Never take burping for granted, lol.
I’m on my 2nd child & she’s not a burper I’ve been freaking out thinking she’s gonna blow up like an overfilled balloon. But we are working through it.
Your method saved me and my partner spent hours different ways trying to burp my 6 weeks old boy, then I found your video and done exactly what was said then "boom" the burp came up and it was a big one
Yup!! That's one way I would burp my girls when babies. Sometimes they wouldn't burp but most times sitting forward like video they would burp loud and even spit at times. Mind ya my babies would get gassy so that would help indeed.
Im glad you showed us this because I always thought it was abuse to slightly force a burp out on your shoulder holding the baby. I ft like you’re hurting them.
I tried it the next time I fed my 5 day old and it immediately got him to burp and have a lil spit up at the end just like in the video. My milk letting down has caused there to be a new learning curve on how long to let him feed, so I'm so glad to have this technique to help prevent him to spitting it all up like I had throughout the say. (I had to make the feedings super short to make sure he could keep it down😢 which left him showing hunger cues all day) I'm so thankful for videos like these to help me do my best as a new mom.
Tapping almost never works. The fastest and easiest way to do it (without spit-up) is to put your baby against your shoulder and gently rub his back in a circular clockwise motion. He will burp almost immediately. I struggled for a couple of months with tapping until I finally saw this online and decided to try it. Works like a charm ❤
I am a no-tap mom. Gently rubbing their back up and down gently. I also hold up and gently bounce when stubborn burps occur. I find the sit up and gently rub is relaxing enough for them to release the air.
My midwife used to pick my daughter up and kind of do a little quick raise in the air of my baby and lower her quickly forcing her legs to drop, 10/10 she would pass wind from either end. it was so gentle, but it worked on my baby.
Can this be done to newborn because its advised that any newborns less than 1 month dont hold them under the arms and lift them ..and there's no front neck support to prevent trachea asphyxiation because newborns necks are very weak and cannot support the head and the head flops forward causing difficulty to breathe.
Ohh I started doing this back when my older son was in NICU. I think it’s intuitive there, since babies are plugged and can’t really hold them the usual way. I do this now with both him and my newborn.
i figured it out on my own 4 months ago and it works under 10 seconds 90% of the time.... just lean them over their knees and the belly pressure does it nice and quietly and non-violently ... 3 times in a row... the last one is wet and then you know you're down to milk and no air.... funny how i only find this now.... big ups to the man for the truth about vaccine series... changed our lives, sir
Th❤❤❤thank u so much u kw I trying to make my 1 too 2 month burp and it did everything the doctors told me but it could come out so I go and new tube I watch 1 or 2 before I come across u urs work one time I soon as I put him to sit knock his back he let go the burp thank u 😊🎉❤
I have my baby on my shoulder and walk slowly. And it works. I think it's all about time. Moving a baby allot like this makes them throw up! After eating babies need to rest, and they actually give signal when it's time to burb. It can take 15 to 30 minutes for them to burb.
I used to do it this way in the hospital. I still use it sometimes - but at night I want her to fall asleep so I do the shoulder position. Also, the shoulder position gets them in that "leap-frog" position so they can digest better and fart
I always did that. Sitting them up and patting. Then I would hold them up to let whatever air or pressure is in there can move up or down. Then I would repeat. It just made sense to me.
Holding the baby on your shoulder folds the legs in like in the womb. Unfortunately those knees press against the tummy pushes all the milk up and out with the goop . Baby is hungreeee again and no burp. I realized Hold baby up but keeping the leg somewhat straight helps with the burping really loud without the goop out! 😊 I mean how you feel when you are stuff after a meal and you squats and bend over to pick up something and lie down immediately!
Well my baby boy usually burps pretty good but I'm watching this video cause this feeding he isn't wanting to burp. I just tried this and it definitely worked. And it was a real good burp too. So thank you!! I appreciate it.

Yeah, tried that with my kid and he nearly aspirated. It’s almost like no advice is completely concrete 🤦♀️
Yup
This works wonders! Also slow feeding
Yes , just give them time. Dont rush them up

This! They kinda burp on their own when you sit them up to digest.
This 👆🏼🙌🏽🙌🏽. I knew it but wasn’t too sure it would work just read it and tried, worked like a charm!
