    As a first time mom, I can't thank you enough. My husband and I had been up since 11 PM the night before up until today, trying to figure out what was wrong with our baby boy. He didn't want to eat, sleep, or anything. Our Dr said to buy probiotics to cure his gas, but there's no way he was going to eat anything with his fussiness. Just a simple google search lead me to your video, and after 30 minutes of walking up and down the house, sitting him up and doing some rocking/circular motions like you showed, his gas was relieved, he pooped like crazy (poor little guy was holding it in all day!), and he is now the peaceful little dude he's always been since we brought him home. Words can't describe how grateful I am!!!

    I just walked up the stairs of the building where I live. 6 floors, all the way up and down 5 times and my baby finally got some sleep. Before this, a lot of diapers changed. (I’m watching this now with no sound and with subtitles on whilst he’s sleeping on my chest)
    It’s really impressive how hard it can be sometimes.
    Thanks a lot for your tips!

      Small update. My baby’s now 3 months old, he’s sleeping much easier and better. I understood the awaken windows time, got his bedroom more darker and quieter and found out he really had reflux, so he’s being medicated.
      It’s still very hard, but it gets better with times.
      Stairs are seldom now.

      @lovejoy_23 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@Trizz-tg3id It definitely gets easier. Hugs and prayers for you Mama. ❤
      The first 2 months are usually much harder for babies to release gas. The tight sphincters (circular muscles) at the top of the stomach and anus make it harder for newborns to release trapped gas. This is why they need so much help with firm pats/movement to get the gas bubbles moving and released. Around 3+ months they often start to pass the gas much easier until you will no longer need to assist or “burp” them at all.

    I think the best technique is the one indicated in 3:13 (baby in vertical position, moving slowly in circles). Movement calms the baby while air bubbles go out faster. This tip works very fine even in newborn premature babies... in this case is necesary that you hold their head.

    You may want to look for infant digestive enzymes. Taking all NATURAL DIGESTIVE ENZYMES myself was the best thing I did for my severe COLICKY BREASTFED BABY, beyond all the massages & streches which I seemed to never stop doing (also, organic baby formula caused projectile vomiting). I passed the enzymes through my milk to my baby, who then immediately went from months of round the clock crying to a peaceful baby. I had been on a special diet as well to help aleviate any digestive disturbances to my baby, but the painful gas wouldn't stop. I'm forever grateful to the naturopathic doctor who simply said that my baby just hadn't developed the enzymes to break down breast milk yet, & recommended digestive enzymes for me to take. This was after a few different traditional pediatricians suggested everything from pharmaceutical baby formula to tongue tie surgery which seemed extreme to me and I was thankfully hesitant to agree. This was in 2012. I don't know if infant digestive enzymes for formula fed babies exist, but I feel it could be worth looking into.
