    For burping there is 2 more techniques that works well. 1st: you hold your baby upright, while always supporting his head, and you gently tilt him from side to side. This worked very well for my nieces
    2nd: you lay baby on his stomach on his playmat. Only works when baby is awake and moves.
    (I hope it's clear, english is not my native language)

    I understand why this happens, however since becoming a dad to a beautiful baby boy(1 month to the date). I've noticed that almost all, I'd say a solid 95%, of articles and videos that I've seen strictly refer to mom as the parent and then the baby as "she" or "her". The mom part makes sense to me I mean, moms are amazing and i already thought that but now that I've seen my wife in action throughout all this, it's just pure admiration. The part where most things automatically refer to the baby as a she though is pretty odd to me. I always thought people just said "baby" in general but most things default to a baby girl. I just think there's more and more dads who are actually heavily involved and hands on at home nowadays and we should include them as well, which obviously I'm biased but still, even at doctor's appts which I've been to all of them so far, the doctor/nurses exclusively talk to my wife and ignore me essentially. I didn't notice that this video she said papa's as well so thank you! Lol and anyone who miraculously read all of this, sorry for the little rant, I'm sleep deprived after staying up all night with my baby so mama could sleep and I'm rambling to nobody.

      Sometimes it can be hard to get baby to burp. I give it 10 minutes and try bouncing around. Sometimes I could get my baby to burp by bouncing on my leg but not traditional burping. However if you cannot get them to burp after several attempts do not worry. Grunting is normal as well. Baby digestive track is still developing!

      I was also sitting here watching this video along with many others as my wife and I are a few days away from meeting our new baby girl!! YAYAY!! I began thinking the same exact thing when I heard "Hey momma's!" My wife has purchased the "Built to Birth" online course and over and over again I kept hearing "Hey momma's!" again and again. I feel left out here...

    My girl is 8 weeks now and has suspected CMPA, but I've been giving her probiotics and they've helped so much. She still struggles with passing gas but a huge improvement

    Hi Bridget, thank you so much for this video! I am expecting my twins to be born soon, and I will definitely keep your techniques in mind. I also found Wonky Winding technique quite interesting. What do you think about this technique? Thanks!

    Would gassiness contribute to baby not wanting to sleep lying down? My lo will not sleep during the day unless she is on our chest.

  • @allyjuyu3070
    @allyjuyu3070 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    My Baby often falls asleep After a Feed and then spits up later on. I guess no burp is the reason. Thank you!
