- Upgraded the Anet ET4 plus to Marlin 2. Lets setup cura and run a first print.
Open source Marlin firmware allows us options with our printer. Anet has heard, and using a ST-Link V2, it is pretty easy. These steps are for the ET4 pro or plus. As always, when flashing firmware make sure you have the correct model for your printer. Anet has files you can download here.

An awesome user Karl created a blog that showed how to recover or fix the ET4. I snagged a ST-Link and decided to give it a try and show you how it works.

damn that et4 looks better than the old version.
Funny thing was I thought I had an original ET4. When I was assembling it I could not find the switch for Z... Low and behold ET4 plus in a ET4 box. #greatday
@@HLModTech lucky cous the old et4 is a nightmare for to auto level you're way quicker off leveling it manual, and btw i think it's just the standaart et4 you got it's just the latest 2020version you got. look it up on anet and you'll see!
@@a2d600 I will look it up, but on first boot the firmware did say et4+

Very easy videos, thanks. when trying to do a G29 automatic leveling, on the first 3 places in front of bed are off, any idea how to solve that?

Off as in the wrong height? Or off as in not over top of the bed?
@@HLModTech is off the bed and sensor can't sense causing stopping the automatic leveling.
I have started to collect a smile pile of 10mm cubes. Maybe I should upgrade to those 1cm cubes just to be a little different and change it up some.
LOL! I have a herd as well. Maybe add some .01 Meter cubes to the stack as well. 🤪

can just print to highter temperatures with marlin software and a all metal hotend please what i need to to that ???
You would have to mod the firmware and the machine. I have not done either.

im thinking in put a mk8 system with the mosquito hotend
my dude here is if i may change the power supply for another more poweful in order to print in higher temperatures ??

ET4 & ET4 PRO How do you level
I use the paper method still. Then as the skirt prints I adjust a smidge if needed.
@@HLModTech Where is the leveling part of the Marilyn menu?
I am not sure. I always do it manually. I am at school now and my printers are at home, so there is not much I can do at the moment. =( There are some really helpful anet facebook groups though.
Now file marlin firmware can not download please share again

Oh, this is for Marlin 2... You had to do some trickeration to get there. This is my first print tutorial for a stock ET4. th-cam.com/video/g2sySdWmT8Y/w-d-xo.html I think you will still have a different bed leveling gig than me. Is yours a ET4 plus?
@@HLModTech My ET4 is all green and black. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong with it because I can print from the examples provided but it won't acknowledge any stl parts I make in Solidworks.
