I did this on my ET4 Pro, and the screen image is messed up. Maybe I have a different version of board or screen. Any idea on how to fix this?
You can write marlin firmware without installing openblt. Using ST-Link V2. In that case, when you start printer, lcd shows Anet bootloader and the MARLIN firmware
Great Video, but I've got a question. What is a correct order of inserting TF card into a printer: before or after I upload bootloader?
The TF card with the .bin file should be plugged in the printer before or after installing the bootloader?
What's the purpose of saving the .srec file to the TF card? Do you put it into the printer? When?

am facing issues with new firmware
i flashed marlin2+ using stlink it is success
but after that i tested auto home then x and y are working fine but z axis is not working , it is moving up few steps before reaching its high &it starts toward down and collide with bed
i even tried to to reinstall firmware
can anyone help !!

Ok, so for ET4 Pro it doesn't work, the firmware linked to the ET4 PRO is ET5X, whenever I write that firmware the display goes wrong, weird lines and corrupted letters, but underneath all of that, the buttons are barely visible, and the touch seems to work as pressing supposed button locations makes the screen change but still ineligible. Due to firmware being for ET5X maybe it has different SPI for the display compared to ET4 PRO?

I'm shopping for my first 3D printer, and I'm divided between your printer (cheaper and with more features) and the Ender 3 (slightly more expensive, moddable and with opensource firmware). If I buy an ET4 today, do I still need to go through all this to get a decent firmware that fully supports G-codes? Or can I just update it using an SD card without all this fuss? Or, better yet, does the latest official firmware finally fully supports all the G-codes? And what about modding?
You will still need to update the firmware yourself. It looks like Anet fucked up on that part. That being said, the anet is a pretty decent machine.

End of year 2021 going into 2022 now....does the ET4 now come with open source software already loaded or do we still need to go through this process?

Hi Rimon, it is OK to use it.
In the ET5 PRO Marlin firmware download folder, the ET5X firmware download folder appears. We still don't have the Marlin firmware for the ET5PRO.
Hi Ramon, you can use it is for ET5 and ET5X instead, they have no difference. One of our team members use ET5X Marlin on his ET5 Pro for over 6 months, everything's fine.

Hi,I have issue with ET4 Pro -
Whenever I press settings > home button instead of going down printer head always goes up ~10mm. Even in manual mode If I press manual 2 times still goes ~10mm up.
Hi, it may be an issue with the leveling sensor. Please pause when it moves up after pressing "Home", and manually push it down. Adjust the sensor when it is close to the hotbed. Then try again to see if it works.
i have an issue with my ET5X after installing marlin the screen calibration is off. i have used the M995 command to try and calibrate it but it keeps saying failed.

Anet ET4 ok printer but the software limits kill it, just let me write to eeprom yes. I need to increase extruder acceleration and feed rate calibration but the printer ignores all commands for printer parameters only accepts move commands.
Do you mean our official firmware? It does not support commands. But we are now developing it.
i followed the directions exactly as directed and my printer display is glitching out and it is unusable, is there a way to reset the printer
the file you have labeled at ET4 Pro is a download for a et5, could this be the problem

why we change to marlin? we dont have to...right?
yes, if you have no need for extra customized tunings. no need to update to Marlin firmware.
I customize my ET5-x. so, I'll need Marlin for it.
@@M-Random Yes, there is a lot of things you can do if you flash into marlin. That is why we making content for it. Because our customers may need it. It's a great firmware!

How can i add autoleveling to my Anet Et4x with marlin firmware ?
maybe need to add auto-leveling sensor and remove the x axis limit switch and use et4 firmware on your et4x. it means modify your et4x to et4.
