- People have been clamoring for the Anet ET4 to have Marlin 2.0 since it arrived. Take a quick peek at the new menu choices for the Anet ET4 with Marlin 2.0+. The menus are clean and it is pretty easy to navigate and make your anet ET4 work just the way you wish.
There was also a desire for the firmware to be open sourced. Today, I can say it is here. Marlin 2.0+ has been released and is available for you to customize to your heart's content.
An awesome user Karl created a blog that showed how to recover or fix the ET4. I snagged a ST-Link and decided to give it a try and show you how it works.

I tried to install marlin 2.0, there are 2 options et4.bin and et4p_et4+, which one do I choose current? My printer is already using autoleveling which keeps sticking to hotend and doesn't use the Z end stop. Please answer. thank you
A couple things. You need to change the file name of the zip file. Otherwize that - messes up ST-Link. It is explained in the vid. Also, this is for a stock ET4. If you are auto leveling, you most likely need to make a custom firmware that will work with your ET4.

so i have a Labists et4... but with auto leveling. i know. wierd. but will the Auto leveling also be there with the marlin software?
Actually not weird at all. I had another user with the same and he ended up flashing the plus/pro version and having success. I cannot guarantee anything... but he said it worked. th-cam.com/video/dyTOkUW0aas/w-d-xo.html

Best way to level this printer with the updated Marlin 2.0+ firmware update?
I am super old school and just use a piece of paper. I can hear the friction I want and just roll with it. As the skirt prints I check watch and adjust. I have not used a ABL, but I have enough success this way, I have never been interested in the work it takes to get one calibrated.

Try pressing on the touchscreen for 5 seconds or so. I think I read somewhere that it will calibrate it and you will be good to know. 👍
I HAVE A new Anet ET4 can i download this Marlin program in the bios of the printerboard ??
The only way to upgrade to Marlin 2+ is with the ST-Link V2

Interesting question. I will check my printers to see what I can find out. My ET4+ is at my school, but I have a few ET4 machines I can fiddle with at home. Not sure what day I will wrap it up, but if you hit that notification bell you'll be the first to know. 😜

i have the anet et4+ but i flashed with et4p_et4+.bin but this program give me a firmware.bin and the lcd doesnt work always stay in white
I do not mod printers or firmware... There are so many settings in Marlin... I am confused about your firmware.bin.... I would download the et4+ files from the video again and make sure they were not corrupted. Then flash the et4_et4+.bin.
Do you have a original marlin firmware for the Anet ET4+? I've been struggling with a used printer, got extruder clicking and horrible print quality, I need to print Pla at minimum 230°C. Already tested a different thermistor, but made no difference. Ich thing the temperature read by the thermistor must be wrong or the Mainbord makes stupid things. So I'd like to downgrade it from Marlin 2.0, because it came upgraded from eBay.

I have not spotted the code for them yet. I do not have a ET5 either, so when it does come out I will not be able to test it. =(

Sometimes I spray a tiny bit of aqua net... Do you usually use skirt or brim?
I also had roll lately where I had to drop the bed from 55 to 50. It could also be weather dependent. So many variables.

Most likely, but it is outside my skillset. I am not a fan of ABL, so I do not mess with it.
