So basically a preview and not a review because you haven't used it. It's like saying a game looks nice without playing it.
The Alijos 400 is legit. I recently went on an offshore trip over to the Cortez bank for bluefin tuna and big yellowtail and exclusively used the Alijos 400 in 6.6:1 for my 30lb flyline set-ups and it handled the 30-40lb bluefin and yellowtail 18-40lb yellowtail no problem. The drag just performed exceptionally well. All in all I'm impressed with them and I have a Daiwa Lexa 400 TW and a Tranx 400 that I fish with as well.
Found out they are made in the Diawa factory in China. I have the 300 they are nice.
4 hours into muskie fiahing the gears started grinding. The tension knob wouldnt tighten anymore. Junk.
Great presentation. I'm waiting for my reel to be delivered and will be the first reel I'll be using out here on the west coast of SO. CAL. I'll be using for Sand Bass, Calico Bass and Rock fishing. HOPEFULLY IT DOESN'T FAIL ME.
I've heard great things about the reels 300 and 400. At least from some musky anglers. I'm sure they will be great catfishing reels. I own a piscifun chaos xs 6000. The reel has been smooth casting and reeling. Piscifun seems to be a good upcoming company.
Cheap junk. I had 2 of them and they broke within the first summer
Thanks for sharing the review! Seems like a very nice reel! Keep up the good work my friend! And as always, #RodsandReloads rocks!!!
What is purpose of "spool pin"?
Thinking about trying this reel for Texas Gar Fishing with 60# braid.
I'm not sure much gar beating it would take but surly try it. I run all spinning for gator gar
Look forward to the review after you test the reel!
It's a awesome reel! I own one!
Olá bom dia.
Essa carretilha já está a venda no Aliexpress? Pois já procurei e não encontrei.
Alguém aí tem um link onde vende essa carreta.
My first Picsifun 400 for April 2024 I caught 8 striped bass with it using 100 yard 15 lb lead core .57mm line. It’s perfect reel for trolling/ casting type . I bought 1 more fell in love with it, I’ve been eyeing the Diawa LExa Lx400 for a long time I found out this brand is also made in same factory as Diawa. 🤫😊
Great video Luke, been using the 300 series with 30 lb braid for channel and flathead cats, amongst others the Mississippi offers up, some of the best reels ever made
Wish they had just stuck with the handle without the counterweight like the 300. I had the Daiwa Lexa 400 HD and sold it because of the counterweight. I was so happy that the new Lexa 400 TW went with no counterweight. Anyhow I have two of the Alijos 300s and have been waiting for the 400 to come out. I'm excited to see how it stacks up next to the Lexa 400 TW and Tranx 400.
I'm wish I can buy 1 alijoz 400... Malaysian fans....🙃
I used an 18% discount code and they gave me an additional 18% discount due to shipping delays. Best $87 I’ve ever spent!
I’m buying 4 of them on payday
What's a reasonable priced swimbait rod that would match this beast of a reel?
hopefully its not cheap Chinese pot metal inside and cheap plastics
They’re made in the same factory as Daiwa using the same materials and components
lol probably true

Yes, .. it's a cheap Chinese reel... but for the price and how it performs…, you can't go wrong..! I have the 300 and I have used it in the salt /surf with no issues for the last 3 years… of course if you rinse in warm soapy water to wash the salt away… keep it clean and lubed... For the price….It's the shit…!
👌😎👍
I will skip getting the Alijoz 400 because I have the Lexa 400… but I will get the Tranx 500… very nice for the salt...Stripers or Muskie waters too
👌😎👍
does the line guide move back and forth when engaged? this is important because if the line guide stays stationary it messes up the line on the spool. For example, almost abu reels like the 5500c3 have the line guide move back and forth in freespool/engage mode.
I don't think it does move when it's in free spool, but I'd have to double check.
Does the level wind disengage on the cast? I
I just want to ask if in the possible future you'd make a maintenance video of the allijoz 400 because there is not a single video of maintenance for the allijoz 400.
Dude, ... It's exactly like the 300 just slightly larger… not by much...just read the schematic….and all the paper work it came with... It's not rocket science…
👍😎👌
From where are You bay??
I've own 3 Alijos 300 for the past 3 years with my main caught at least 4000 fish. All are still smooth except one starts to show a bit wear and tear. My only maintenance is to rinse saltwater off once off the water. I can't wait to get my hands on this beast and hope it will be as good as the 300 version. My plan is to use this as my heavy deep drop, tuna and halibut in Alaska.
How far can you cast with 300 series. I'm thinking to buy same as yours but concern for casting distance. Thanks
Hopefully it’s better than the chaos.
what about the chaos ?
