@scottnorvell2955 My GoPro is at the bottom of the lake, so I have to do a video on the reels I got rid of on my computer. I sold one, and within a week, the other went out. I contacted the company and was told they wanted it back as there were similar reported issues. I got my money back for the one and have moved on completely from Piscifun reels. Sticking with Penn Fathom 400LP's and my old trusty Abu 6500C's from the early 1980s. Those reels were virtually bulletproof. In my honest opinion, the Penn Fathom 400LP is THE absolute best low profile on the market today. I'm glad you are having success with the Piscifun, I did not and won't be back to them. That's just me, though.
I threw Mag Dawgs, which are about 8oz, to see how it handled them. I had no issues with that at all. So, throwing a 10" Jake, 10" Slammer, or even a 13" Grandma would be no issue. Personally, I will be using the Alijoz 400 for bucktails, spinnerbaits, jerks, glides, cranks, and twitch baits. I have a different reel I will be using for my rubber reel.
I emailed them and they told me up to 15 ounces. Then told me it’s not meant for surf casting with 12 ft pole. Since I was looking for a new casting reel.
I would bet they would swap it out for you. They want to keep customers happy. I am being completely honest, too, about burning up the gears on the 8.1:1. My reel recommendation video will be uploaded soon.
I bought two of the 300s a few years ago and they are still going strong. Hard to believe for the price but no complaints at all.
