That weird noise i would suspect is accessory related. Maybe new belt, idler pulleys, and tensioner. Easy way to test is to run it briefly with no belt
Hey yall, I’ve been watching these videos for a couple years now and I’m ready to upgrade my muffler. I have a 2012 Silverado 5.3 and I’m looking at the Borla XR-1, Flowmaster HP2, and the Flowmaster FX. I like a “high quality” sound with some deep rumble. Which on of these options are loudest? I’ll be running with cats for a while then I’ll tune them out and get long tubes. I’d appreciate some of yalls opinions on these mufflers!! Thanks in advance.
That Tn squat is horrible to look at and unsafe for people, vehicles, and animals in front of it. And the true dual exhaust without mufflers sounds horrible. The Magnaflow does improve the sound of that one.
Now that you mentioned the apartment thing, I hope the city wouldn’t do the same thing to your store like they did to the racetracks when new houses were built around them

That's exactly what I was thinking, probably a broken motor mount letting it run.
Either that or the idler pulley is bad I have the same kind of truck and it makes that sound and it’s the idler pulley

i actually run this exact muffler behind a heads/cam 396 stroker with longtubes and no cats... this video does it no justice 😅 my neighbors Haaate me

It might be the heat shield in the front of the truck it looked like it was close enough to hit the exhaust. Just a guess though.

Once it breaks in it will get louder I have the smaller one on my Infiniti its aggressive borla pro sx makes the same kind of set up with xpipe
