Man, this is top-notch service! I love that you were able to show them, on their own vehicle, exactly what they were getting before going to the trouble of a full install. As a customer, it's a bit intimidating to shell out a bunch of cash on something you HOPE that you'll love the sound of.
Very, have a set of outlaws on my Mustang thing sounds very deep in idle but once you get it to the higher rpm’s it sounds like a more controlled straight pipe
One of the main reasons why these trucks sound like that is because of the truck Y pipe. If you did an equal length x pipe it would completely change the way the exhaust sound.
@s2knott you'll still need to somehow make the pipes from the headers to the x pipe equal in length. I just did it on my tbss and it costed me a ton and and wasn't easy but it no longer sounds like a truck. I wanted that vette sound and I got it.
I have a question!!! I HAVE A 2018 z71 Chevy Tahoe and looking to get the exhaust done. Just not sure what would sound good. It has dual exhaust not sure if I should do X pipe or y pipe? I don’t like the drone noise so looking at one of these. Anyone can help I’d appreciate it
I was a Flowmaster Series 10 fan for a long time. And I had a cammed Chevy also. But I heard a Carven R on a buddy’s truck and loved it. Now it’s the only thing I put on my trucks.
The flowfx was the smartest choice regardless of preference, if it’s too loud you need it to be quieter, then that was the best option. It’ll break in and get slightly louder over time. And gonna do a lot for drone.
Most of them sound the same IMO. But the NTR had a different idle - sounds good. But im not a fan of Y Pipes - shouldve gone with H Pipe into dual Exhaust.
I can’t find that NTR muffler to save my life. All that pops up is the Corsa Pro Series the small resonator when I search for the netami Ntr muffler.. even on their website it’s a no go on mufflers period all I see is tips with built in mufflers… sucks cause I want that NTR so bad
Amazing demo! Had a exhaust demo day at school they vbanded all them and put them on a bench 351 motor. This was faster. And love the video showing difrences in build and sizes. Great job!
Dynamax. Vibrant. Flow FX. For performance-wise those are the only mufflers I would run on my truck. You want a perforated core. Not a louvered core or baffled core. I have a Banks monster on my 5.3
That was awesome. You get to hear the different tones in the mufflers and pick the one you like, I believe you are one of the first to test out different mufflers. Outlaw for me! Thumbs up!

For 2012 - 2014 Charger SRT8s theres a really good one not many people know of, its called Zoomers Exhaust. After watching a few videos I guarantee people will agree its one of the best.
@@kerntay I had a B & B Bullet exhaust w/a X-pipe on my ‘02 Corvette Roadster. One day I called Billy Boat exhaust and asked them what mufflers were on my system. They told me Dynomax Race Bullets. I didn’t even know what I had. I got that system from the advice of an old marine corps buddy, Bill. That car was loud and hit hard when you put your foot in it. My cousin had a Harley with a Thunder exhaust pipe on it. We used to terrorize downtown San Francisco(the TL), with 1st gear pulls for a 1/2 block. It was all pure American 🇺🇸 Muscle 💪🏽
For someone who wanted it quieter than the straight pipe, they picked the loudest mufflers, can't really tell any difference. I'd pick via dyno results.
I'm sure there's been a lot of people wondering how it would sound on true duals. That's what I want to know. I've been looking for a while I know I am going 2 1/2" which a 1/2" bigger. My system is shot now and it is true duals and will stay that way just wanting the right sound thanks.
Dynomax always sounds great. If the race bullet is too loud, the UltraFlo sounds similar, just slightly more tame. But, beware of drone! Might have to weld in a dead end J pipe depending on the setup.
Ive always been the Dyno Max race bullet guy, but the Flow FX FLOWMASTER is a good muffler on a loud engine. I also use Moroso Spiro flows on some builds.
Yall do great work. Ive always liked to stand out and do cars that not alot would do(customize) I want to start on a 2018 journey. What kind of exhaust do yall recommend, can yall work on it/install and around how much? I want to get serviced by yall
I have dual NTR with long tubes and the truck is cammed. I had the same setup before but with Carven, it sounds deeper and the cam sound choppier with NTR over Carven. Drone is rough with all of these style mufflers but imo NTR gives it a different deeper sound at idle and it roars when you give it gas.
For the right sound, I prefer to have the muffler fitted further upstream, and allow for a section of pipe to follow the muffler, rather than having the muffler right on the end.
@ThatBaggedWK2 I know they can be loud but I'm talking about choppy and camming like that one does. Honestly if it wasn't for the fact of seeing it myself I would have thought it was a dual exhaust
where did he get that ntr muffler? never seen one like that before. i have the same taste in sound as those guys. i agree with his choices. personally i like the 12" race bullets, not the 6", but i think he picked right going with the ntr. It's got a very unique sound that fits the loping. the outlaw is just straight pipe garbage in the shape of a muffler.
Ran a dynomax bullet, truck responded like crap, put a Carven R, sounded better and responded a little better, last went with a Borla XR1, won't be going back. It all depends on what you want.
I just put a Flowmaster 70 for my 95 Chevy van 305 and it is the perfect sound I mean it just has that nice tone it's not too long loud and it doesn't have that that drone there's no drone in the cabin
I have a 2500 with an 8.1L I run dual 3” TR’s and an X Pipe. It’s calm cruising then gets loud as you give it some. I feel like it wasn’t rev’d enough to hear the aggressiveness of the TR
They didn't like any of the perforated mufflers and I can see why, they sound more raspy. I prefer chambered type mufflers myself, they just thump harder.
I have asked places to do this and they said no because it would void the product. But I'm sure you guys just eat the cost considering it brings you more business. I always enjoy a vibrant.
I can’t help but to wonder if just a good resonator placed just behind the Y-pipe would’ve done the trick. Personally, I’m a huge fan of Corsa’s cat-back kits. I don’t think that I’ve ever seen you use Corsa products.
