    When doing something like extruding along the Y axiz, the little key cast icon doesn't show the second key pressed so for example "e z" to extrude along the Z axis only shows as "E". Perhaps this should be explained.

      This is true. I have been looking for a keycast addon that doesn't do that and I thought this was it. I will look more carefully.

    THANK YOU! I have been trying to learn how to use blender for 3 days now. I spent about 6 hours in those 3 days watching tutorials. I must say that I learned much more from this one of yours in 15 minutes :) Now I need to watch all your tutorials. Thanks a lot again!!! Bless You!

    Thank you, now I´m trying to get this to unwrap evenly so I can texture in photoshop.

      @@notverygoodguy lol thanks! I did manage to paint it. Which felt like aerobics... lol and accidentally painted the INSIDE of the vase! Eventually I repainted it to map out correctly. It looks great!

    Incredibly informative! Do you have anything on parametric or geometric pots/planters?

    • @notverygoodguy
      @notverygoodguy  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am glad you found this helpful! I haven't considered doing pots or planters but will add to my list.
      I suppose these designs could become pots if you made them big enough and gave them thick walls though.

      @Not Very Good Guy Yes! That's exactly why I found it helpful. I am new to blender, so I really appreciated you showing the many ways to achieve the same result.
      If you ever get a chance to make something on that, ill certainly be watching.
      Thanks!

    Hello, great video. Is there a way to fill vase's inside with generated wireframe?

    • @notverygoodguy
      @notverygoodguy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad you liked it. I am not sure what you mean though. It is possible to have a solid vase with the wireframe pattern on it if you unselect the "Replace original" setting int he wireframe modifier and playing with the thickness and offset sliders (plus you might need to add a solidify to it. Did you have another thing in mind?

      @@notverygoodguy I'm new with blender, so didn't know how to exactly name it. I tried to search some images and found that "gyroid cube" looks similar to what I want to achieve (same wireframe pattern generated and connected inside the vase).

    • @notverygoodguy
      @notverygoodguy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jonaskazlauskas1412 It will be quite difficult to do in Blender but you might be able to do it by creating a normal vase and getting your slicer to add a gyroid infill and setting the number of walls, top layers and bottom layers to 0 so it just prints the infill. This might need a bit of playing around with the settings.

      @@jonaskazlauskas1412 I did kind of assume you wanted to 3d print the result as it's easier to do with 3d printing slicer software.

    Hello, I am trying to make the second vase, and while sculpting the lines affect my bottom, even though I did everything like shown on the video…what can be the problem pleasee??😢
    Thank you for the very informative video!!

      Did you actually create the face set as described at 05:25 as well as check the Facesets box in the brush properties for the brush you are using? It is worth noting that the facesets check box only applies to the currently selected brush. If you change to a different brush you will have to select it again.

    Wouldn't it be easier and faster instead to flatten the top loop with looptools, to just select to top loop, then scale / Z / 0?

    I don't have single vertex in mesh drop down

    • @notverygoodguy
      @notverygoodguy  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I thought it was by default but maybe you need to enable Mesh:Extra Objects in preferences. However, you can always add any object and in edit mode select everything with a and then m->merge at center. That will give you a single vertex.
