Those goggles have been around since 94……nobody uses them because they jam up and break
They’re a pretty big deal in mountain biking. World Cup racers use them all the time
Well it's not the 90s anymore man I'm sure in the last 20 years they've gotten better
Alot of gncc and woods racers do
We use them in auto grass and they work amazing. They only break when they are hit with a rock flying through your screen
They been around longer than that.
Early 80s I know because I adapted the system to my scott googles

Was going to say I don’t dirt bike or anything but I thought they had multiple layers of film on the goggles and ripped away layers as they got covered in whatever to reveal a new clean one and be able to keep riding with taking practically no time to do that way they can keep on racing without slowing
@@smiledespitenot all goggles. But yes, a majority of race goggles do have tear offs, just clear plastic type shit over the lens that you can rip off and toss

I go to work at a dirt track called Outlaw Speedway in George County with one of my dad's friends and they have strips you put on the visor that are crystal clear and can be torn off easily for when dirt or mud gets up in the way of their vision.
I used to work in motorcycle shops. These things have been around since... forever.
My dad preferred tear offs when he raced over these.

You know what would really be cool? If the visor filament could be fed from a small spiral backpack into the helmet via some sort of bendable track, and the the dirty filament went back into another small spiral backpack.
Even crazier than that would be a version that constantly changes the visor in and out from the track system and washes/dries it so that you never have to change it out unless it breaks.
It's the, "HI there" that got me

Visor wipers should be standard issue if mud or any other sort of obstruction can get on them, in most cases, it serves the exact same function as a car's windshield
Been using these goggles for yearrrss. Theyre great but if the string gets wet, it snaps and makes it useless. Tear offs are still the best way to go
