At the time The Ritz, run by Jerry Brandt was a Premier Venue for music in NYC. You could catch many big acts coming through NYC playing there. I missed this show, but was fortunate to see several others at The Ritz during my time living at St. Marks Place in the Old East Village.

My recently divorced mother, my brother and I had just moved to a small califormia beach front town Santa Carla. I knew nobody, that night that I first heard this song on the beach walk carnival that had come into this strange town that weekend.
I always liked alternative 80s stuff and grouped this in with that since I was little. I just realized it has a message. I don’t care, it’s an incredibly powerful song. Everywhere I go ( I think of you ) is an even better song than this one.
