When I was younger I wrote to Tim asking for an autograph. Not only did he take the time to print off a picture directly from his copy of Lost Boys and sign it he went to the post office and posted it to me in the UK himself for free. So when people ask me why I have a framed signed picture of an oiled up, pony tailed muscle man playing the saxophone I simply tell them of the absolute legend that he is and how he will always have my respect and highest regards.

I have to partially disagree with you. Definitely my #1 vampire movie and while the soundtrack is in my top 5 of greatest soundtracks of all time, it just doesn't beat "The Crow's" soundtrack. Every song, including the score, not only embodies the movie but the main character of Eric. But again like i said, the music from "The Lost Boys" definitely belongs in the top 5. It's iconic, sexy, and just all around bad ass! 🤟😊🎶

If in 50 years time, someone asked me “what was the 80’s like?” I would go straight to this video. The look, the voice, the sax, the over the top-ness. It’s all here in one song by Tim Cappello. It’s a great song that is the epitome of the 1980’s.

Just to point out, the excellent *performance* is by Capello, not the song. The song is a cover of the original by Michael Been and The Call, who are from Santa Cruz - the real-world location for the fictional Santa Carla in the film.

😊 I was 12, this film was amazing for me, my best friend and I would chat for year's to come about how unmatched this film still was.
And today at 48 I had a day dream and heard this play. Instantly im 12 again, and needing to hear this particular track once again .
Why? Who knows, who cares , all I know is I'm happy again after listening to this awesome track.
Thanks Tim, you'll always rock 🤘🏼

    I been in a cave
    Forty days
    Only a spark
    To light my way
    I wanna give out
    I wanna give in
    This is our crime
    This is our sin
    But I still believe
    I still believe
    Through the pain
    And through the grief
    Through the lies
    Through the storms
    Through the cries
    And through the wars
    Oh, I still believe
    I still believe
    Flat on my back
    Out at sea
    Hopin' these waves
    Don't cover me
    I'm turned and tossed
    Upon the waves
    When the darkness comes
    I feel the grave
    But I still believe
    I still believe
    Through the cold
    And through the heat
    Through the rain
    And through the tears
    Through the crowds
    And through the cheers
    Oh, I still believe
    Oh, I still believe
    I'll march this road
    I'll climb this hill
    Upon my knees
    If I have to
    I'll take my place
    Upon this stage
I'll wait 'til the end of time
    For you like everybody else
    I'm out on my own
    Walking the streets
    Look at the faces
    That I meet
    I feel like I
    Like I wanna go home
    What do I feel?
    What do I know?
    But I still believe
    Yes, I still believe
    Through the shame
    And through the grief
    Through the heartache
    Through the tears
    Through the waiting
    Through the years
    For people like us
    In places like this
    We need all the hope
    We can get
    Oh, I still believe

      I was there, born 72
It was so very VERY special. It definitely was the coolest decade😎 cool was natural for us, we were the decade of the old school values with the beginning of new technology. The women back then weren't infected with feminism you could actually talk to them without them being offended at EVERYTHING, and men were respected and appreciated. Also it wasn't a globalist society there were still different cultures and countries. No cameras everywhere, less rules, gun shops in main street and kmart sold guns, fire cracker night the list goes on. Sydney was the best place to be back then. You DEFINITELY missed out, and its NEVER coming back

Director Joel Schumacher had thought of a prequel showing Kiefer-David's history, how he turned into a vampire after the great San Francisco earthquake of 1906. But then Schumacher got busy with other films. The studios did nothing about it and 20 years later produced some crap straight-to-DVD sequels. Imagine, a whole film based around David and we never got that. But then Kiefer was making 3 films a year by 1989 as well. Busiest actor at age 20-21.

    • @debbie1120
