Oh this looks amazing on you ! Proud of you also for getting out of your comfort zone and wearing something you might not have worn before, you make me want to do the same !
Great video! Also wanted to say that I love the decor on your wall. The quilts with pictures over them is a great idea. My day job is quilt pattern designer, so I'm always looking for unique display options. Thanks for the idea.
As a tip, there is actually a TH-camr, Crochet with Tuula Maarie, she has 2-3 videos about how to rapidly crochet a treble mesh faster. I don't know if it's possible to do the trick with decrease/increase but it is definitely a timesaver for consistent square rows. She is worth checking as I have never stumbled on this trick and I have over 300+ videos of crochet saved. Also, I find this video so inspiring about how you pushed yourself out of your comfort zone. As I, petite plus size, tend to exaggerate my size in my mind when I knit/crochet clothes due to so much external stimuli/social media/tv shows&movies and older generation's fat shaming reheteric. They mean well but it's important to acknowledge that they lived a completely different and often more oppressive time than the modern 20th century. We need more messages to remind women that some bodies tend to hold on to weight fairly easily which is normal in nature. It's just horriblely misrepresented as we only see the "ideal model body" in social media. I am really glad you brought up such a vulnerable, important, and value discussion. Which why I adore all your videos along with Pippin' and Merry's misadventures. 🐾🐈⬛🐈⬛💗
I love what you said about your tattoos giving you confidence! I have a largeish tattoo on my upper thigh and often feel like I should cover it up in public (probably because I had to hide it from my family for years and when I finally decided I didn't care and wore shorter shorts around them, I still felt self conscious about it). But this video inspired me to make something with a slit to show it off this summer!
Just rewatched to see how you made this cover up My 2 takeaways: I want a crochet cover up I don’t know if my skills are advanced enough to improvise a crochet cover up. I’m a beginner. But I’m inspired 🤩
I've told you once before.... your vibe is such I could hang out with you all day! That cover-up is so well made to fit you... great job on the execution of crocheting yourself a dress/coverup!! Now as to how ya started it out, we've been there, most of us! I started crocheting after knitting and I was so used to doing things my own way it carried over into the crochet part as well. I don't think I read patterns in crochet until my 4th or 5th project.... and that was a ripple blanket. So you learned something valuable and now the inspiration is on point, I love it!!
it looks absolutely amazing!!!! my first big crochet project/garment was a mesh swim cover up too in a very similar style but I'm in loveeee with the slit you added 😍🥰
It looks sooooooo good and comfy!! Thank you for braving the modeling! I’ve been thinking a lot about warm-weather knits because I’m moving soon to a place that’s hot and humid most of the year 🥵 Very inspiring!
I think the dress turned out lovely! I've been a bit out of it lately, hence the lack of comments on the past two videos (I'll get to it as soon as I get the motivation)... I haven't crocheted anything in quite some time now. I should be working on the backbag for my grandmother. The yarn is just quite the strain on my hands and I'm already dreading the sowing for the lining. I'm going on a trip soon, so I'll surely bring along something to crochet. I would also really like to make a skirt or dress for myself. Although I do find the idea of a wrap-skirt the most appealing. Alright, my brain is starting to think of too many things right now, so I'll conclude this comment!
wow, i'm late but that is so beautiful and it looks amazing!!!!! the final product is SOOOOOO CUTE! if you'd ever be interested, i would LOVE a video on self drafting/crocheting or knitting without a pattern. i'm an intermediate crocheter and novice knitter and i cannot do anything at all without a pattern, and i can't even wrap my head around how people do it. i'd love to hear your thought process and tips!
The dress is absolutely stunning! I know how to feels to be uncomfortable in your skin but you wanna show your skin in public. I’m also slowly starting to show my body more but I’m not there yet to confident body. I hope one day I will but I’m so glad you are slowly opening up to mesh wear! Building up your crochet core🫶🏻
Your beach cover-up dress turned out great! As a crocheter, I'm hyped for any upcoming crochet content! In fact, I'm in the planning stages of making a mesh top for myself and you've got me wondering if I can do it without a pattern. I'm going to share my self confidence trick: I get ready in the morning, look in the mirror and see how cute I am 😊. Then the rest of the day, I just go around feeling cute. I figure if I don't look cute to other people, that's their problem and none of my business (like what people say about what's happening to the hair on the back of their head - LOL 😁) ❤
So pretty! Just got into crochet and im really enjoying your content right now :) Feeling hopeful about one day making my own clothes to build my confidence too!
@@BreathingYarn So true! 😆 I'm making a bunch of granny squares right now and I plan to put them together into a dress.. we'll see. My partner keeps reminding me that even if it doesn't turn out great, it's still practice, and that makes it worthwhile ❤️
The pivoting cracked me up :D I don't (for now) knit, only crochet but I watch you cause i like your personality and i must confess watching you pivot into crochet more makes it more "down my alley". Am i making sense? If not sorry, I'm not a native English speaker. You look great in the dress and I'm really happy for you, that you enjoy how it looks, that you are more comfortable in your skin and that you tapped into a new source of inspiration for making and creating stuff. Have a great summer!
I find that people who apologize for their English have usually written more eloquent, thoughtful and grammatically correct comments than the native English speakers 😊.
Heels and a co-ordinating slip and you would have a very elegant evening outfit too! Well done on several levels 👏
You read my mind!
Oh this looks amazing on you ! Proud of you also for getting out of your comfort zone and wearing something you might not have worn before, you make me want to do the same !
Thank you so much!! 😊
Still impressed by how you design your outfits from scratch! Beautiful dress that fits you so well 😍
You look great in it! Go do all the summer things with confidence. You've got this!
Thank you 🥰🥰
You look beautiful in it
Wow!!! It looks really good!! The shape is perfect for you! The fit is perfect! I need to make myself one!
I was rooting for you 🎉😁like “hell yeah she will look stunning in it” and you did ❤
Omg thank you 🥰

What a beautiful dress you've made for yourself. And look at you, looking fine as hell in that mesh dress!
Thank you 😊
This peice is SO BEAUTIFUL and so are you ☀️
Thank you ☺️
This looks amazing on you! I love that you have a vision of what you want and just go for it! ~Brenda

Well that’s just a tragedy. I’m sorry you’ve had to hide it. I hope you’re able to show it off some this summer, I bet it’s awesome!☀️🥰
Most inspiring - love that dress I might try to make one with my limited ability and patience. Well done - lovely channel 🌞🐈
Ability Needed: 3/10, Patience 10/10. This was all triple crochet and chains, nothing too crazy. It took so freaking long though. LOL
It is fantastic and looks amazing on you. I am inspired. My 65 yr old me needs it ( along with your confidence) ❤❤
WOW well done it looks beautiful on you xxx
Thanks 😊

HOT & HUMID! Stay safe out there, that sounds like my nightmare. And I hope summer knits/crochets become more popular!!!
It came out so well!! You look amazing in it 🥰
Thank you!!! 😊
It looks so pretty on you!!!

I enjoyed this video thank you for sharing it with us (I’m crocheting shawls to wear on an evening beach too this year woo crochet wears!)
That sounds amazing! I NEED to make a shawl
I love your channel. ❤

I’m so biased, but I highly recommend giving it a try. If you mess up, you can always unravel and nobody needs to know 🤫
