I know you're more drawn to neutrals, but every time you showed up on screen in those red pants I thought "those suit her so well." And then with the colorful sweater at the end? Perfection
Uuuh! Those square project bags are great! You can put your project into them and they will look just like cushions for your sofa! Perfect place to hide wips in plain sight :D
In Irish folklore it is believed that when you crochet you leave a piece of your soul in the project, so working in and leaving a mistake leaves room for that piece to escape...just superstition if you believe in that sorta thing, or even a fun way to have an excuse for something not turning out 100%. You have inspired me to venture from crochet to knitting this year and one of my goals for 2025 is to knit a colorwork jumper, so fingers crossed it goes well! 😅
I love gift knitting but it always feels so risky.i saw someone say the other day that if she wants to gift knitting something like a garment. She gifts the gauge swatch so that she can talk through color and fit and style with the recipient and really make sure it's something they'll love.
Thank you for existing. Thank you for cheering me up by your cozy vibes, and thank you for making me sit and knit and watch you and alleviating some of the stress I felt. I had supremely shitty day and your video brought a little comfort to me.
You’re too hard on yourself, Isabella! Everything may not be “perfect”, but you are making and learning along the way. The only real “failure” is in not trying in the first place. Your WIP’s all turned out beautifully. I’m sure you can tell how much you have learned and improved in 2024. I personally look forward to seeing what you accomplish in 2025 (and beyond!). Take care, merry Christmas, and happy new year! 🥰
A midnight drop! Whoop whoop! You can get an overlocking foot for your sewing machine OR just use an overlocking zigzag stitch that most machines have. I love the pants!!!
It’s adorable and the color poking through on the other side makes it that much more unique and fun! Plus, it’s your first double crochet sweater and it looks great!
@ I’ve been crocheting for 20 years and sometimes my projects still look like that. I love watching your videos. Especially when I’m knitting (just started in February) or crocheting.
Girl I wish I was this motivated to finish my WIPs. I semi abandoned my temperature blanket at the beginning on Nov. And haven't picked it up since, and am instead casting on socks to make my first pair (I've frogged like 6 times 😂)
I love watching these videos! I have been fighting tendonitis for a few months and can't knit for longer than a few minutes, so my WIPs have been continued at a very slow pace. But I did finish something just in time to gift it for Christmas and it's nice to see that I can still make progress without getting myself into pain
Tendinitis is a monster to deal with, I’m sorry you haven’t been able to craft as much as you’d like. I’m amazed you were able to work through a whole project 💪
Wow! You really knocked it out of the park getting all your knitting and crochet WIPs finished by Christmas. I’m so impressed. Plus all the sewing and quilting, too. I rarely have more than 2 active projects on the needles at one time, usually a sweater/cardigan plus an accessory (mostly socks and hats). I especially liked the crinkle mats. 😊 I love your Northern Augustins No 4 with your red pants, too. Merry Christmas to you and your husband 🎄
I just want to say that I recently found your channel and really appreciate everything that you post! you've been not only a great help, but also a great knit along "friend" to have on whenever I'm in my crafting mojo! also, your cats look identical to my childhood cat, who passed away not too long ago, and seeing them on screen makes me really happy! thank you for a fantastic year, looking forward to seeing what's in store for 2025!
Seeing you knit all this stuff is so cool!!! I’m a lifelong crocheter and I only just learned to knit so this is all very magical and seems like sorcery to me
These projects turned out beautifully. The red Lane pants together with the Augustins sweater... HELLOOOOO what a match! Also these pants match perfectly with the Belcher sweater, just a totally different vibe than with the first sweater. Love the micro-capsule wardrobe thing going on here :)
Hello fellow Oregonian 👋 I didn't even think twice about the name of the Lane Pants despite living in that county lol. Love seeing you make so much progress on quite a variety of projects!! Makes me feel like there's light at the end of the tunnel for the crochet pullover I've been working on for a while. If you have any more submission videos coming down the pipeline this year maybe it'll make an appearance 🥳
I love your color choices being the same as the Belcher family. Your multi-crafting vibe is very comfortable since I am similar. 2024 was figuring out crochet and 2025 is sewing/quilting. Looking forward to seeing your projects through the coming year.
@BreathingYarn Definitely an interesting one! My goal is to make a button up shirt that fits properly and a lap quilt. And a lot of projects bags! And maybe find a knitting group again - you inspired me with that. 😁
The collar on the cable sweater looks very good on you, but it must feel good as well. For looks, I would keep the collar. And btw both sweaters look wonderful.
I have just been making my first mosaic crochet project and have been loving it! I have been making the Mosaic Bookcase from Zigzcrochet and it's been so fun, such a cute pattern and lots of customisation
Such gorgeous crinkle mats for cats! Omg, I did not know you could make one yourself. Envy! Omg, I just finished watching the video. The double crochet video fits you soo well!
Watched the whole thing while doing my own WIP! I said on another video that I was scared of doing sweater sleeves and I finally got those done and my husband loves the sweater! You said on the knitting beginner video to “not be afraid of doing the same project again” or something like that so now I’m making my own sweater so my husband and I can match. Great video! ❤️
My go to trick for knitting around cats is to have another project sitting aside just within reach for when the cat descides to lay on what you're working on. Like a quick little switcharoo. Also kinda fun to see you wearing the sweater you knit for your husband in the previous WIP videos
Wow you are such an inspiration!!! The Belcher sweater is amazing 👌😍 I just want to make one right now, looove your color choice Happy holidays 🥰🐈⬛🐈⬛
For the seam issue (I haven't gotten as far as your resolution or decision yet!), I would have done a stitch up either side and then mattress stitched them together. It would keep it from bleeding and look really squared off.
I was thinking about the Northern Augustins No. 4 literally 5 minutes ago and I wasn't sure about buying the pattern because I don't have the yarn and in my country duties are lethal, even on digital products. But I got into TH-cam and the first video that pop up was yours, so I guess that's my sign to actually make it. I loved your video too, new sub ❤
Your sewing is beautiful! Good job! I'm inspired by your project bags. I always think I need project bags but then I think I don't want a bunch of mismatched things laying around that don't match my decor so your bags that coordinate inspired me.
I was super inspired by one of your videos last spring/early summer where you showed the arctic light sweater. I had the opportunity to travel to Milan for a conference where I went to a gorgeous yarn store and got this beautiful golden colored yarn to make the arctic light sweater! And I’m so proud to say I also finished it in time for Christmas and I’ve been wearing it nonstop! This was my first time taking on this big of a project and I’m so proud of how it turned out. Thank you for all of the wonderful content, inspiration, and encouragement ❤️
All your projects turned out amazing! Thank you for all the inspiration🥰. I too am starting on a sewing journey, fibre arts, and sewing goes so well together.
If you’re relearning sewing and looking to get fabric and supplies sustainably and help cut down on craft waste, my favorite local second hand craft store also sells online! They’re called Lucky DeLuxe Fabrics based in CA! I’ve been going there for cheap fabric while I’m learning to sew and I get second hand yarn from them and zippers and buttons and trims! Shopping there always inspires me 🤗
Congrats on getting all of your projects finished by Christmas! (I'm still trying to finish my last sweater of 2024 before the end of the year...) Very cute pants, and the fit you perfectly! You absolutely don't need a serger. Also, another way to finish waistband seams is with bias tape -- easier that French seams, I think. Happy Christmas!
Haha! As an 80s teenager I am always wondering about knocks on the door and waiting for the human figure showing up when driving in the fog HAHA! I really like how your Christmas outfit turned out. Lots of love from the Seattle area 🧡
Just an fyi on embroidery thread, it's made up of 6 individual sewing thread sized strands that you separate to choose how thick you want your embroidery to be. So often, for delicate pieces, you can choose two or three strands to get a finer thread.
Congratulations on braving the knitting group! Would love to hear more about how that went and your thoughts on the experience if you feel like you have stuff to say on that (while maintaining privacy and all of course).
I love that crochet sweater! I've never been inspired by a crochet sweater like that. That said, I do have a Jethro Cardigan (like) sweater on the needles/hook. I have that in the WIPs right now, planning to get to that this week between Christmas and New Year's Day.
I keep putting off cleaning out the spare bedroom and reestablishing the sewing space, but I think I'll prioritize that for January. Also, can relate to scolding the cats for playing too rough.
I started going to a local knitting and crochet group at my library this year and it has been so good for me. Totally outside of my comfort zone. I work from home 100 percent of the time so it's definitely something I look forward to every other week ❤
Lovely bag for your Mom! I too have a lot of scrap fabric and large pieces as well. I used to sew a lot in my younger years. You’re so productive and make so many cute garments. Glad you finished your WIPS in time! Hope you and your family are having a great Christmas Day! From a fellow Oregonian and cat Mom 🙂🎄🐈⬛
Thank you for the channel rec! My husband and I are working on reorganizing our office to fit in a sewing machine because our goal is to learn how to sew this year.
1. All of the sweaters in this look SO GOOD. 👏 2. Can you let us know which zipper method you liked best?? And how you made the square/zippered project bag?
love all the wips you finished especially the cabled sweater! speaking of bobs burgers- i once had an instructor named Lynn Belcher and she had never seen bob's burgers. she didnt even know what it was! haha love your videos!!!
Wow... to both of your sweaters and your pants! ❤❤ 😊 merry Christmas to you and your loved ones, looking forward to all your upcoming projects and Videos in 2025🎉🎉
Idk about you but I feel so fresh coming into the new year with just one WIP. But I’m also the row of person who needs my entire apartment to be spotless in order to get any work done 😂
@BreathingYarn I'm going to have to mail out a few things still for Hanukkah so I'll add it to my stack. It'll be late like all my other gifts lol but when you have a chronic illness you do what you can when you can and that's just ok. It'll be a surprise for you one day, I will let you know when I post it though...
@@BreathingYarn We have planned out our Monday tasks and going to the UPS Store is on our list. I will actually get this done quicker than I thought. 1st step to cleaning my craft room to which I can barely walk in atm. I have so much to get rid of I wish I knew someone who wanted to help me go through it all and needed supplies. I have so much stuff I want to get rid of now that I've weeded down my hobbies to make more time for knitting lol
@@BreathingYarn well I went to send you the ruler and ups couldn't send to a po box and would have to ship USPS. Due to the size of the box and the po box it was going to be $200 to ship. I about fainted. My husband was fine with the $24 we thought it might be but that was nuts! Anyway, I'm going to see if I can send you one from Amazon but I thought if I'm going to do that I wanted to make sure what size you want. There's a 4"x14" that's super useful for bags, clothes, quilting etc and easily stored but I don't mind sending you the bigger size either! Just let me know and I'll see how it goes this way.
Girl!! I love watching you! I love how you go from one craft to another. I only crochet and I know how to sew, but I want to learn more crafts! Thank you for sharing your videos with us.
Happy holidays everyone! Thank you breathing yarn for all the great content this year. I've only followed you a few months but every video you put out is a banger! Also WHAT is the pattern name of your fish sweater from the begging of the video? I absolutely need to cast that on asap.
ahhhh I live for your finish-the-knits vlogs!!! you sharing your beginner sewing journey is so inspiring, I really want to explore sewing more in the future but you make it feel not intimidating at all. I deeply love how you talk about your body & making clothes that fit our bodies, in a world where we are told to make our bodies fit clothes. I cherish my time spent knitting along with your cozy vlogs. happy holidays Isabella 🤎
@ aw omg thank you so much 😭 definitely a different Christmas vibe but soo memorable!🎄 happy new year to you as well, it’s so special to reflect on how far we both came in this year and that we could follow each others journeys 🥲
@ oh i will! also this was the first video i watched from you and surely won’t be the last! Your energy feels calm and safe, and your projects are so cool!!
im sure someone mentioned this but have you ever tried ladderback jacquard for catching long floats? i’m trying it for the first time on a current project and i am a total convert!
Alright that's it I'm subscribing lol. I love everything you do, but moreso, I LOVE your color choices. Simple, but warm and cohesive. I love a professional looking knit, but I personally prefer more handmade looking sewing, it's so homely and comforting knowing a person made it. Anyways, I'm loving your content very much, thank you for sharing 😊
I have watched a few of your videos now. Today I decided to subscribe. One reason is how you wanted to adjust something in the pattern because you didn't like the way the stitches turned out at a particular spot. I'm a bit picky about that kind of stuff as well. It's also the way you explain why you chose to change a perfectly good pattern to suit your needs. I can't start a project without immediately wanting to change it in some way. I'm the same with cooking, sewing, crocheting, etc. I don't think I'm better. I just think it would suit me better this way. For example, I have seen so many lovely sweater patterns but I don't like the necklines. A lot of them are too low. I'm over 70 and don't need to show off my lovely collar bones. I'm also in Canada and need a bit more warmth around the neck. I've noticed a couple of your sweaters have necklines that I like better so I'm going to pick a pattern that I really like and play with the neckline. Thanks for the inspiration. Hope you had a great Christmas. Looking forward to more videos.
It is not you on Arctic light, Kutovakika’s example also looks shrinking on the replan lines and every sample after… this is why I have decided against making it
the augustines mo 4 is sooo stunning, not my style sadly (too whimsical and femenine) but god it looks absolutely stunning on you! your videos are always so cozy an such a comfort to watch with a nice hot cup of tea and a WIP.
Not me singing to the Bobs Burger’s episode you were watching 😂😂😂 “ Twinkly lights, twinkly lights That's what makes Christmas bright All different colors and all different types I mean, sure, there are a lot of white lights But you need an assortment of lights To do it right!!” -Your Bobs Burger’s obsessed bestie
for me, when i do decreases I like to double crochet 2 o 3 together to make it more seamless, and that may be a technique you want to look into idk how you did your decreases but i would consider myself a expert/vet in crochet
Thank you for giving tomelines on sweaters. Especially the cabled one. I always worry i knit so slow by only watching how fast content creators knit.
Yea I get the same way. Like how the heck are people making stuff so fast!
I know you're more drawn to neutrals, but every time you showed up on screen in those red pants I thought "those suit her so well." And then with the colorful sweater at the end? Perfection
Don’t worry, 2025 is gonna be the year of color. Ive been obsessed with bright red everything!
Uuuh! Those square project bags are great! You can put your project into them and they will look just like cushions for your sofa! Perfect place to hide wips in plain sight :D

3 videos in one week?? what a wonderful addition to y knitting time
i have never wanted a double crochet sweater until seeing this one. i'll be ordering drops belle to make something similar.
I hope you love it!

Love love love your Belcher sweater!!! You really have a special talent with design.

Love how your pants match your jumper! And am so impressed that you can sew as well as knit…wow! So glad I stayed to the end. Wow!! You need a rest…
Rest? I never heard of it 😂
Woaahhhh blessed with a 45 minute video?!?! Talk about a Christmas present!
Merry Christmas 🎄
I love watching these videos! I have been fighting tendonitis for a few months and can't knit for longer than a few minutes, so my WIPs have been continued at a very slow pace. But I did finish something just in time to gift it for Christmas and it's nice to see that I can still make progress without getting myself into pain

These projects are all so great! Your cats are so cute
Happy Holidays everyone! Another cozy vid to knit with ❤❤❤
I just want to say that I recently found your channel and really appreciate everything that you post! you've been not only a great help, but also a great knit along "friend" to have on whenever I'm in my crafting mojo! also, your cats look identical to my childhood cat, who passed away not too long ago, and seeing them on screen makes me really happy! thank you for a fantastic year, looking forward to seeing what's in store for 2025!
Seeing you knit all this stuff is so cool!!! I’m a lifelong crocheter and I only just learned to knit so this is all very magical and seems like sorcery to me
Your mom is gonna love that bag! 💚 So many cute sweaters, too!
Good job on the wearable muslin. I like the personalization on the sweater. Perfect points! You figured it out, excellent work!
Your work looks fabulous. If it were my handmade item, I wouldn't give it as a gift, but your bag looks so perfectly beautiful and professional.
The first 2 ex-wips together is such a vibe! 🔥
These projects turned out beautifully. The red Lane pants together with the Augustins sweater... HELLOOOOO what a match! Also these pants match perfectly with the Belcher sweater, just a totally different vibe than with the first sweater. Love the micro-capsule wardrobe thing going on here :)
Me too! I ended up visiting family for a Christmas weekend and packed just the things I made in the video 😂
I’m such an Oregon newbie (6 years so far). I didn’t even realizing there was a Lane County 😂 I love that
I do love that everything you've made for yourself in this video goes together!
Me too! I’ve been wearing them all week 😂

„Not knowing anymore what to believe about butter“ 😂😱 💖
😂 it makes me smile every time I see it
This is my favourite tutorial for zipper bags. You could absolutely use scraps or quilt the fabric to use for the bag.
Your bags are lovely ❤
Great job! I wish I can finish my wips at all
I get so stressed having a lot of WIPs. I love making these videos so I can keep my sanity by getting all my stuff done.
Quilter here “doing the top stitch is the most” that’s not a top stitch it’s the quilting stitch. 😊 glad you like it. Welcome to the club.

Idk about you but I feel so fresh coming into the new year with just one WIP. But I’m also the row of person who needs my entire apartment to be spotless in order to get any work done 😂
Your projects look amazing! 👏🏾🧶
I love that you are sewing, crocheting and knitting. Happy New Year! 🎉
Thank you so much! Happy New Year to you too! 🎉

@ you’re amazing. Happy 2nd day of Hanukkah! 🕎 ✡️
You've really been spoiling us with the amount of videos lately. I love it :) and merry christmas!
Merry Christmas!
That outfit is so cute!!!! Well done. Absolutely adorable.
Girl!! I love watching you! I love how you go from one craft to another. I only crochet and I know how to sew, but I want to learn more crafts! Thank you for sharing your videos with us.
Thank you 🥹
Happy holidays everyone! Thank you breathing yarn for all the great content this year. I've only followed you a few months but every video you put out is a banger!
Also WHAT is the pattern name of your fish sweater from the begging of the video? I absolutely need to cast that on asap.
It's the Halibut sweater by Caitlin Hunter. Good luck making it! It's gorgeous.
Happy Christmas Isabel!
@@Namida2u wow tysm!!
ahhhh I live for your finish-the-knits vlogs!!! you sharing your beginner sewing journey is so inspiring, I really want to explore sewing more in the future but you make it feel not intimidating at all. I deeply love how you talk about your body & making clothes that fit our bodies, in a world where we are told to make our bodies fit clothes. I cherish my time spent knitting along with your cozy vlogs. happy holidays Isabella 🤎
You’re always the kindest person! Happy New Year Morgan. I hope the holidays were just as festive in the Australian summer 🥰
@ aw omg thank you so much 😭 definitely a different Christmas vibe but soo memorable!🎄 happy new year to you as well, it’s so special to reflect on how far we both came in this year and that we could follow each others journeys 🥲
haven't started the video yet but i'm stealing all your interior decorating ideas thanksss
Thank you for saying that! I’d say interior design is my next biggest hobby behind fiber arts!
intro is everything
Thank you!
Love my serger. Shop sewing machine stores for a used model. Mine is a basic one 30 years old. Mechanical and runs fine. Easy to maintain.
If I ever get a house, I’m for sure gonna get a serger.
Merry Christmas and happy new year!
Merry Christmas! Thank you for your videos! They help me in so many ways! Wish I could tell you in every way, but just know you help a lot!
Aw, I really appreciate that!
Brb im gonna go make a crochet sweater inspired by you
Yesssss email me when you finish it???
@ oh i will! also this was the first video i watched from you and surely won’t be the last! Your energy feels calm and safe, and your projects are so cool!!
Never this early haha dang I’m proud of myself😅😊
In proud of you too 😆
im sure someone mentioned this but have you ever tried ladderback jacquard for catching long floats? i’m trying it for the first time on a current project and i am a total convert!
I absolutely need to try that! Just looked it up and it sounds very in line with my knitting style.
I'm so happy to hear that! It means a lot to me.
You are so kind. Thank you and I hope you are having a great Christmas!
It is not you on Arctic light, Kutovakika’s example also looks shrinking on the replan lines and every sample after… this is why I have decided against making it
I noticed that too
the augustines mo 4 is sooo stunning, not my style sadly (too whimsical and femenine) but god it looks absolutely stunning on you! your videos are always so cozy an such a comfort to watch with a nice hot cup of tea and a WIP.
Not me singing to the Bobs Burger’s episode you were watching 😂😂😂
“ Twinkly lights, twinkly lights
That's what makes Christmas bright
All different colors and all different types
I mean, sure, there are a lot of white lights
But you need an assortment of lights
To do it right!!”
-Your Bobs Burger’s obsessed bestie
I went to a lights display and my friend was probably getting annoyed at me humming that song the entire time!
for me, when i do decreases I like to double crochet 2 o 3 together to make it more seamless, and that may be a technique you want to look into idk how you did your decreases but i would consider myself a expert/vet in crochet
I did 3 together and next time I want to try 2 together twice
