    This machine has all the features that should be standard on all 3d printers these days.
    AI camera with failure detection, abl, touchscreen, available all metal hot end.... List goes on. Excellent.

    Glad your hair survived the encounter with the helmet ;) Great prints off that machine! Will be very curious to see the changes made between the one you have and the ones going to backers. Great project with a wonderful theme behind it: Build volume does not have to limit you. Loved it!

    My estimated print time from ideaMaker slicer is also correct. It is right for my ideaMaker, Creality and Prusa printers. If I print something over 2 days, then it can be, that the real print time is 10 to 15 minutes shorter, then estimated, but never longer.

  • @JeremyShay
    @JeremyShay 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I’ll be honest, the Ankermake looks like it’s going to be a banger but I just can’t justify backing it considering that a) the units sent to reviewers have already been confirmed to be of higher quality than what consumers will receive (even if it doesn’t change print quality that bugs me). And b) the thought of “backing” a well established and funded company is just weird. They should just sell pre-orders 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @UncleJessy
      @UncleJessy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Have not heard that for point a, and totally understand for point b. Will be doing a full review on the unit I purchased once it arrives.

    • @MrNickpeck36
      @MrNickpeck36 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, the printers we get are receiving many upgrades over the original design, so I'm guessing you saw a bs post on reddit? Lol.

    • @JeremyShay
      @JeremyShay 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@UncleJessy I believe it was LinusTechTips that got confirmation from Anker for their video that the pre-production review units are machined and production will be cast.
      Again, provided it doesn’t have any noticeable quality difference I will likely be purchasing one the moment production units go out for testing.

      No. 3d scanning would generally be hard on android as they would all just be on a regular camera which is not easy to scan using 3d. The reasng apple has scanning apps is because they have the LIDAR sensor which is a sensor highly used in scanning

    I respect having to shill for the sponsor but especially when talking about the estimated times... You use good wording to avoid making a guarantee but anyone who isn't sharp on sentence structure will just here. "This printer is %20 faster than any other printer" when what you actually need to say is "according to the slicer, this printer is %20 faster"

    • @alijah1539
      @alijah1539 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm just sick of people paying the way for the future with a million crappy ender 3 bodies and extremely expensive for what they are printers. Just so we can have this dream of normies having 3d printers in their house. It won't happen. Especially if the first printer they get is unusable or is so expensive that once they should upgrade they stick with the one they have. It's really hard to get people into the scene without hand holding.
