I have an ender3 and I gave up on 3D printing years ago. Buying the M5C has totally changed my opinion on 3D printing and got me back in the game. Great printer for those who don't have time to tinker all day or are just getting into the hobby. Now my biggest issue is trying to find something worth printing.
This. Had a Fokoos odin 5 and got frustrated with bed leveling so I put it in the closet. Got the m5c a year and am finally excited about printing. It just works
I hated my original M5C but after Ankermake deems my unit faulty I get a replacement unit and have not had any complaints other then the missing screen that I am STILL getting use to. Does a great job at ACCURACY with clearances and is FASTER then my M5 when using stock settings from Ankermake Slicer with same parameters.
I bought my first 3d printer 3 weeks ago and it was the M5C. Then I bought 2 more 2 days ago. And I’m picking another one up tomorrow. I love learning and failing at 3d printing on this thing.
Buying one "used" for $100 cash tomorrow and the guy owned it for 3 weeks before deciding 3d printing isn't his jam. Even if it had issues, im experienced and will fix it but i can still it's completely new and perfect. I can't wait. My son can start with this and work his way up to my x1cs and p1s's
I got a steal on an M5. Anker has the all metal M5 hotend for preorder for only $15 shipped (October). I'm in at less than $400 for an M5 with the all metal hotend. 3d printing is getting out of control ❤
Thanks for the review! You did some incredible usefull videos to configure the M5. Will you do more of these? Maybe now that you used the M5 and the M5C for quite some time with further tips? :)
@@ThePrintHouse it would be super interesting to see how to further improve the print quality. How to get rid of "ghosting" (if this is the right term). And if you have experience with replacement parts or third party stuff for the M5. I was searching for a flat pei plate for several months 😅 structured pei plate is great for stability but I might not want it on my print
According to information on the Ankermake subreddit they are offering updated all metal hot ends to M5 Kickstarter purchasers for $0.99. So it sounds like there is going to be an upgrade path for the M5. Hopefully they'll start shipping all new M5 printers with the updated hot end too. Clearly Ankermake is on the defensive right now since so many new and impressive printers have hit the market over the past few months.
My sovol sv07 is 💩 on me and I JUST GOT IT! I’m definitely going to talk to my husband about getting this one. Thank you for the great review and in-depth
I have never turned off my connection to the outside world, but I suspect it required foreign servers because you are required to log into your ankermake account before you can talk with the printer. So I guess Im saying whether it communicates over LAN or not idk, but you will need an internet connection regardless
I'm really considering to buy it, I'd like to know if the nozzle of the m5c is compatible with the nozzle of m5 cause I search on the oficial site and there's no info about it
Thank you so much! I too and eagerly awaiting my k1 and k1 max reviews, but my hope is quickly dwindling. I was promised both punters for review and have yet to get them. I think creality is upset with my previous review of the halot mage pro 😞
@ThePrintHouse thanks a lot. I was struggling between qidi x smart 3 and m5c... but in 369$, it's incredible. thanks for a good review. I'm your new subscriber now!
Anker will go backwards with this route. You don't degrade a nice looking machine just to please a few who dont know the value of something good. I am glad i bought the older version last week for almost 780$. I am ok with the price. Its more practicle and nice looking. That cheap looking new machine worth 250$.
I just bought the M5 for $559 on Amazon a week ago. It's sitting in the back seat of my truck. Also have the X1C in bound. Now I need to sell some of my old inventory to recoup 😅
This 3d printer is a huge flop! Lack of a good slicer is a big shot in the foot. There is no offline anything with the m5c which is a joke. The app is completely useless and the files on the app are very few and arent all stl files so you cant directly print 90 percent of those files.. The slicer will tell you 10 hour print and turn into 15 hour print somehow while printing. The fact that the company's on website lies about its own features should be enough to scare anyone away from buying this. And for the price, you can get many different 3d printers that utilize more types of filaments and have some sort of upgrade so your printer can do all the things you want with 10x better slicer. And the m5 is an even bigger joke with a camera that does nothing... I wouldnt recommend this to any entry-level person either because that's just predatory to suggest a bad product to someone who doesn't know any better
This has been exactly the opposite of my experience. Got an M5C for $200, great app, started printing from my phone without even doing anything on my computer, installed the slicer (Ankermake studios). It's really good, like it more than Cura (cura sucks ass, though could just be my printer, love the wireless print transmission). Prints like a dream. Coming from a Kingroon KP5L which I got for $100 but is super slow and requires manual bed leveling. This is a massive upgrade. Might not be nearly as good as bambu, but compared to the KP5L this is heaven!
Hi hello 😁, one doubt, is this M5C model or de M5 capable of offline printing? Would be nice to know how since I don’t want to depend on the cloud service to work since I can’t tell if the internet will be working all the time at home, and I want to know cause I am considering this printer as my starting point in this business 🫣 Thanks a lot

Yeah I guess every unit has a possibility of being a lemon. Glad they figured it out and sent a new one to ya! :)

this is the king of indepth review i was looking for. thanks!
Amazing! I'm so glad to hear! These kind words mean a lot! I have a second m5c video as well if you want to check it out!! :)
@@ThePrintHouse I actually did see it before this one! Also very helpful on deciding which one to get.

Just bought an M5C for 189 bucks on Black Friday. Insane to see how expensive it was just a year ago

I don't think it is necessary to repeatedly invest at faster speeds, but its simple appearance attracts me more。
Just found your channel. Great video and production
Does anyone know if the app controls it within your home LAN, or does it require you to use foreign servers?

Would you recommend this one over the bambu ?
8:23 Just use a 90 degree USB-C cable or adapter.
219 euro in prime day, Is a good price?

I can't get PETG to stick to the build plate on my M5. Are you just using stock settings?
Yes. I use stock settings but I also use hair spray on the bed.
I have a question would you recommend M5C to new people I have a tiny bit of experience
I absolutely would. I do love the printer!!! :D
@@ThePrintHouse ok thanks

Is a glass bed better than a flexible bed?
I HATE glass. I'll never print on glass again unless I have to
Was the glass difficult for the solvol sv02?
My solvol sv02 need a flexible bed. lol
What was that model that had the stacking parts with wobbly base?
You can find it on printables called balance tetris :D
Any updates on the M5? I’m getting mine on Monday for 499.00. 😊
Honestly I love it. It's a great machine. Nothing new to report.
Is it faster m5?
The max speed are the same
The fact that there is no automatic Z offset calibration might be a dealbreaker because I have no idea how to do that and I don’t wanna mess it up
The steps really aren't hard. In fact quite easy, but it is very upsetting that it isn't automatic.
m5c looks good in 400$ bucks.. I wish I could get early discount like a week ago..😢
It's an incredible deal! There is still $30 off with the link in my description :)

@@Affordy YAY! I think you'll be happy with it. And thank you! New long term subs are always amazing!!! :)
Emmm guess I they are not trying to compete with bambu. This is simply a relatively low cost entry level printer?
Yeah this is not a Bambu competition printer. I wouldn't even call it entry level, but it's designed to be supremely easy for new users.
@@ThePrintHouse if the price is tight i may get one and try it out myself. Its nice to se 3d printing is getting easier!
has the app been released yet? a lot of will have's and is going to's....
Hey! The app has been released for nearly a year. It was updated for the m5c on release day :)
do you have like an agreement with anker to not buy a bambu 💀
I have a Bambu :3
