@@suzannehofer2541 Some plumbers will apply a little silicone grease to parts . Moen is the only manufacturer I recall that has this step in their install instructions. I am assuming you finished your project and everything thing turned out great!
Just did the install and all went well, thanks to your clear notes and saying which cartridge to buy. One note is the lever stopper comes in the package with the cartridge and you need to install it (a little white plastic piece before you screw down the cartridge with the outer ring, this keeps the levers from turning more than a quarter turn if you want that instead of a full half turn. I also wonder if just new springs and seats would stop the leak as apposed to buying new cartridges. My cartridges did not come with the spring and seats, Lowe’s sells them separately called Dankco repair kit for Delta scald guard 80465. 😅 so awesome to do this myself! Thanks a ton!
Thanks so much for your input! If your faucet was only dripping from the spout changing the seats and springs would eliminate the problem almost every time.

Fantastic video! I have never done this and have a faucet (exact same) with a drip about every 5 seconds. This was great, especially the part about paying attention to the order in which you take things apart and their relative position. I am great at taking things apart without doing that, so putting things back together is always an adventure
@@TappPlumbing Once I figured out I had the 1/4 turn stop in the wrong place :( and replaced it, it went smoothly. But your video was so helpful and everything went just as you showed in the video.

Thank you for posting this video. Your explanation was spot on! I was able to fix my leaky bathtub (Delta) faucet.
Excellent! We love hearing your feed back!!!

@@les_studio_room You are welcome and thanks for watching our video!!
Fantastic video and great supporting dialogue. I appreciated (and copied) all of your tips as well.
Excellent! Clear steady images, slow and easy narration.Thank you so much ;>)
Thank you so much for the kind words!
Excellent video. All the details were there, the part numbers, great camera work. Thank you very much for taking the time to make this. Fixed my leaky Delta faucet.

An excellent video. I can now approach the job with (some) confidence. Thanks for your help!
Thank you so much for the kind words! Please let us know how things turn out.
Fantastic video! I have never done this and have a faucet (exact same) with a drip about every 5 seconds. Seems to subside or at least go to every 30 seconds or so with the handle not at full stop, slightly open. Now I am very confident on how to tackle this.
Thanks for the tip on calling Delta too.
Please keep us posted with your results if you can make time.
I hope you are an instructor in a program that teaches plumbing! Very helpful! Thank you!
That is so sweet of you to say! I kinda am , through you tube right? Thanks you so much for watching our video and especially the kind words!!

Finished the job in minutes!! Your a great guy💯💯💯💪🏿
That is very kind of you to say!! We love hearing the success stories!!!!
Doing 2nd faucet on same set. Grateful again for your video!
We are grateful you chose to watch our video ! Sounds like you are making great progress.
This was great, especially the part about paying attention to the order in which you take things apart and their relative position. I am great at taking things apart without doing that, so putting things back together is always an adventure
Thanks so much for the kind words !hopefully you had a quick and easy time of things?
@@TappPlumbing Once I figured out I had the 1/4 turn stop in the wrong place :( and replaced it, it went smoothly. But your video was so helpful and everything went just as you showed in the video.
Great video! My faucet was still dripping slightly after replacing the cartridge and spring assembly. I had to keep re-seating the spring and seat. Took a few attempts to get that part of the process right. No leaks or drips. Thank you!
It can be a little challenging getting those seats just right. There is no margin for error there. Thanks for the kind words and we love to hear your success story!
I just wanted to thank you for this very well put together video.
I am not a confident do it yourself or and water as well as electricity scare me when it comes to doing myself, but this was terrific. I don’t know if you read these or not, but if you do know that it is GREATLY appreciated.

Excellent video!
The only thing I may add…
I apply a small amount of
Plumber’s silicone to the O-rings
before reinstalling. I have accidentally
torn the new o-ring .

Great detailed instruction here by an experienced guy. Thank you!
Very helpful reminder video. One minor point, I'm a stickler for detail. I would call that a seal because the seat is in the valve body.
I completely get where you are coming from , However these are how the parts are named in the repair kits . Thanks for watching our video!
