    Thank you!!!! That tiny hole where the allen wrench goes is what tripped me up. I couldn't see it well enough with a magnifying glass and even a light to tell if it was a screw or not. This saved us from buying a whole new faucet appliance!

    If you purchased this Delta faucet, all of that should be covered by the lifetime warranty. I have one exactly like it except it for a dry sink. They sent the parts to me F-R-E-E. The whole cartridge... not just parts. Fortunately I had registered it and found the date of purchase. Great video regardless.

    Help! I can’t pull of the base of the handle. My Delta faucet was leaking hot water from the spout, so I turned off the hot water to the faucet. I removed the set screw, but the base of the hot water handle simply will not come off. I noticed you got yours removed at 1:00 minute in, but mine just won’t lift off. I’ve sprayed it with penetrating oil and still it won’t budge.
    I previously, a couple of years ago removed the handle on the cold water side in order to replace a washer when the cold water was leaking, so I know this base should just come up and off, but it is not moving.
    Strangely enough, now that I have sprayed the hot water base with penetrating oil, now when I turn on the COLD water that causes water to leak out beneath the HOT water handle base. This is a very odd symptom.
    How can I get the base of the hot water handle to come off?

    • @FixItDepot
      @FixItDepot  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine was difficult to remove too. Sounds like you are doing the right thing with the penetrating oil. I would let it work longer and see if that helps. After that, I would gently tap it, or keep pouring hot water on the handle to expand it and hope it breaks lose. Good luck with it.

    Hey, is it possible to take the lift rod out of the faucet? Like completely? I’m trying to clean inside the faucet part. I removed the faucet, just don’t know how to get into it

    • @FixItDepot
      @FixItDepot  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are talking about the rod that controls the plunger, it can be removed. Should be a clamp under the cabinet holding on to the rod. It is easy to remove.

    How did you remove the spring and gasket from the main base?

    • @FixItDepot
      @FixItDepot  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      just use needle nose plyers to grab it and it should come right out.

    • @patrickvhall

    Will the nozzle come off like the handles once the allen screw is removed? My nozzle is leaking underneath the plywood decking where the water line connects.

    • @FixItDepot
      @FixItDepot  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The main nozzle cannot be removed. Sounds like it might be leaking where the water line connects to the faucet. Try looking from beneath the cabinet to see if you can spot the leak. Might end up pulling the complete faucet out. Good luck.

      Sometimes they get stuck from calcium or other buildup over the years. Try spraying it with WD40 oil and let it sit for a while. Sometimes that doesn’t work either and not much more you can do except drill it out.
