HWC case reviews are back, and I must shout my joy from the mountaintops.
I was planning to get one of these for months but ultimately went with the PC-011 Dynamic for the better airflow and not needing to use NZXT's cam software and controller.
6Twisted yeah I think that is the better buy. With 011 you have your choice of fan and rgb controller options.
cam has gotten a lot better, but i can understand wanting to use another software
I did the exact same thing only because they failed to relay an information about a release date after saying it would come mid July . Got sick of waiting and I’m glad . I can’t stop looking at my o11 now

JoeRieper I was going through the same thing but got tired of cam causing pc lockup’s so I returned it and bought the deepcool castle 360ex so much better no need for software.
You always start in an weird and intriging way when unboxing pc cases XD love it!

Those are one of the best looking fans out there and the case looks awesome too. Having said that, a mesh front would be awesome addition. The case could also benefit from full length bottom intake, if you want to leave that front glass on.
I'll stick with my H500...On a aesthetic point of view...Yeah, better...But overall? Nope, not worth the change. Needs alot more cooler additions
Yeah agreed, I'd maybe consider it if they brought out a mesh front panel version though. Then again, at a similar price point, you could just grab a fractal design meshify C case which is available in both black and white like the NZXT H500/H510

@@lain11644 literally same but whenever I try to buy black its 110$ but the white is 69$. (H500) All my parts are Matt black and I don't wanna customize my green geforce logo. So im stricly stuck with black. I would never stick my gtx 1080 in this sauna. Get a good case for your parts

Picked this case up last week. Now comes with the top-mounted exhaust fan, and the fit on mine was better than your review sample (no wiggle in the lower glass). FYI. Very happy with this case, looks even better in person.
I'm about to buy one I think, love the look. I've bought an Arctic CPU air cooler so hopefully that is sufficient for a non-OC'd machine.

I thought i'd immediately regret my purchase of the H500 by watching this video but I'm glad it hasn't change my mind.
H500 is the best version.also the regular h510 doesnt look too bad for 80 bucks. all u get is the front io usb 3.0 gen 2 and the combined jack tbh

H500 is one my favorite cases now, but I'm not sure how I feel about the front being TG. Like it looks alright, but to me the H500 definitely is more "sleeker" imo. Looks better without.
Though, that Mesh front you mentioned would be a welcome addition. That'd make me get a 510 and move from my 500.

Actually I bought this one because of your review, and I think very much which one should buy, this or the normal one. But since this is the first case I bought after 20 years I thought a little treat I can deserve. And in my old case, my CPU was like 58 degrees without any game, and in this case, it drastically dropped 32. So yeah some degree worth it if you do e-sport and every little thing count, but I think in my case or any other average joe can be very happy with this beautiful baby. This case with me in my quarantine. (also NZXT added another exhaust fan if it counts) So thnx my man!
You know, of all the tech channels you guys are still doing solid product reviews. When I’m buying tech I want to know what you guys think of the product, pros and cons etc. The other tech channels are just getting lame with most expensive pc, or we made a server, or look at us build 100k computer... I don’t give a sh1t! Thanks for making content I can consume and helping me make decisions when I’m building my pc.
I'm just going to stick with Fractal Design when it comes to cases. I love the mesh fronts!

I really loved this case when it was showing at Computex and it was going to be the case for my new computer build, but $255 Australian seemed pretty steep for a case so I went with the lian li pc-o11 dynamic instead and I'm not disappointed it's such a sexy case.

I just bought this at best buy this week since it was the only case available but it did include the fan on top plus everything was already assembled and they already worked the cable management so that's a plus.
Sweet looking front. I just got the H500i last week for my recent build. Wouldn't have minded springing for this instead if I had known it was gonna be out. Then again I don't feel too bad about it. Also not really sure though why they felt the need to make it necessary to use an adapter in order to connect a headphone or headset to the front/top panel. Slightly cleaner looking top with one less input, but not so clean looking or convenient for those that actually want to use it for plugging a headset into.
I would love to see you review this case with one of the mesh panels from etsy. I know it is not what you usually do, but it would be fun to see some "mod" videos.
If you saw GN's H500 review, the top filter limited the CPU cooling... they left it in the stock config with no filter & no front fans and saw impressive results

I’ll add a kraken m22 for the cpu and use it as a top fan while using the kraken g12 and a kraken z63 with a vertical stand for the gpu.
I think it’ll look sick.
I love this case. I didn’t have the issue with the front glass not being snug. It is very well built in my opinion.
Also I don’t miss the top fan because that’s where my liquid cooling fan exhaust is.
My only negative is the lack of dust filters and some of the back panel has holes/gaps that will let dust in.
Overall I love this case. Very easy to manage cable for a super clean build.
This case is an amazing case and I would love to build my next system inside of it, the only thing that has made me go with the H710 instead of the H510 ELITE is the one fan slot up the top. if it had a duel fan slot up the top I would go with it but unfortunately, it doesn't so I'm going for the H710, though an amazing case would be a cross between the H510 ELITE and the H710, with the tempered glass that goes all the way down on the side and the front, glass front to show off you RGB fans with great cooling, and the internals of the H710, that would be my dream case.
Keep up the good work. Your one of the best tech channels on TH-cam. If only Mac channels had this level of tech detail. By the way, your prediction was wrong, this is one of the most popular cases out there.

I bought the Corsair 275R with tempered glass last week for in my other full AMD rig and i absolutely love the minimalistic design of that case and was very cheap only paid 60 euros for the tempered glass edition.
Wish you guys made a video about all rgb 120-140mm fans you could get now
to make it more easy to buy the ones there fits your case best :D

I've been eyeballing this case for months, mostly due to the tempered class front panel with RGB fans. I think that this will be my next case upgrade, because my current is the H440, which is pretty boring.
It definitely looks great, I can't deny that. But for similar styling and size cases you can pick up InWins for about half the price. The 101C or 303C would probably be the direct InWin competition for this case. And they're both under or around $100US.

I have this case and I loved the way it looked when I bought it. Honestly the rgb on everything has very limited settings. For instance you can select multiple colors but can't pick patterns or anything. Really all you end up doing is picking one color. Works out for someone who only wants a static color. My opinion at the price point you should have more options with the rgb. I'm learning just getting into computer biulding. From my experience corsair icue makes the best rgb products.

NSXR h500 is an amazing case, is super cheap and amazing good looking case. The tempered glass that lets see inside is an awesome feature

It's great, but I would add a top fan and solve the quality construction issues you mentioned, but this case it's just gorgeous, in my opinion I think some sort of H710 Elite would be the endgame for me, enough room for 360mm liquid cooling, with that glass panel, but since that hasn't happened even after 2 years of this review I would definitely go for the 510 Elite

So I bought myself a o11 dynamic and I’m in love with it . Also got a Corsair h series aio instead because I was going to buy both together from nzxt store . Oh well nzxt sucks for you be better next time
*side eyes the H510 Elite sitting in a box waiting for a build* lol - the included RBG 140mm fans was what pushed me to get this over the 510i, but this is my first build in 19 years so 🤷🏼♂️
i've missed that slo-mo build montage thumbs up! this case is gorgeous but it does seem like you're just paying extra for unnecessary bells and whistles rather than higher quality and more practical features.
Nzxt pre-built machines also started coming without fan on top, but fans in front instead, and AFAIK it's because testing reveals this offers the best airflow
This thing is sexy and the lighting is tasteful! I look at PCs as a piece of decor in my house so I don't want it to look like just a box, or like a toy. I went ahead and bought one!
I have the H500i, and have had it for a few months and I’m ok with it. It doesn’t have the best airflow, but I have the Kraken X62 in a pull confit on the front intake and the other two fans on a pull (though I think I might change one or both to pull cause my GPU lost the lottery and gets kinda hot).
I kinda wish I would’ve gone with the 700i because of the extra ways to mount AIOs and more vents, but I might just find a way to take the front panel off and just get somebody to laser out some holes to helm with air intake at the front.
As far as CAM is concerned, well I guess I’ve gotten lucky since the only issue I had was it not detecting the Kraken immediately after I installed it. But other than that I have had no issues - which means all of the RGB is giving me so many FPS.
All they really need to do is make a mesh version of the H500, throw in some basic RGB fans/strips to raise the cost slightly and avoid making the H500 obsolete, and they'll have an absolutely fantastic package.
For now, I'm waiting for reviews of Phanteks's new P360X and P400A.
Have you tried mounting the rear fan for air intake while keeping the top fan exhausting?
I would definety put glass on the right side, so the glass would be all arround the case, and the white bottom frame would look AMAZING! Nevertheless, for the price i expect premium quality finishes.
I´m in love with my black S340 Elite, so no need to change it in medium term.
What I don't like from S340, S340 Elite, and H500(i) is that the case makes the rear fan blocks more area of the motherboard's IO shroud. You can use ROG Maximus or Crosshair board and see the "Maximus" or "Crosshair" LED writings on the IO shroud covered.
Just built a new system a few months ago, and started seeing this case on Reddit yesterday. I was actually pissed, because this thing is gorgeous. Not that my case is ugly, but this one is perfect.
I don't feel so bad about missing out on it after seeing this. Looks amazing, but it's functionally a budget case. I'd gladly pay $100 for it. But never $170+tax. That's actually absurd.
So, what are the differences between an H500 vs H510?

I second that. I'm not super rich but was okay to spend that extra bucks for that beauty. and I'm so happy bcs it's the most beautiful build I've ever had, and temp is fine as well

@@Plane. I would just look into a better airflow case, if you don't like the whole entire front panel mesh thing, the LianLi Lan Cool II is pretty good
NZXT make an ALL WHITE case please. Both inside and out. Most components are black and a white interior would look amazing!
Interesting case review. If you have pointed out all these faults and they weren't resolved. I wonder if this manufacturer even listens. Maybe, next time.
Shared the link to this review on a post on NZXT's Facebook page asking them to address it and they got maaaaaaaaaaad...lol. The first response was "take off the front cover and you get better temps, imagine that?" I pointed out that the cooling performance at this price point with no top exhaust fan included doesn't add up.

Hey! Late news, I’m sure someone else mentioned it already as well but I got this case for around $100 at my local Micro Center and it actually had a preinstalled fan up top. Maybe you got a variation that didn’t include it for some reason? Not sure, my only gripe is that I’ve been looking for front mesh replacements for the glass and haven’t been able to find any. Fortunately, my NH-D15’s are going to power through anything that gets thrown at the CPU for a while.
I hope the Mesh front becomes a trend and they develop a interchangeable mesh front like Cooler Master. can't see anymore closed front glass cases which chokes an entire system.

Absolutely gorgeous case, getting it for my upcoming build. Sure, there are some shortcomings, but I'm more than willing to look past them. Costs ~200$ in Serbia, mind you. :)))))))))))))
Okay. I thought I was going crazy when case shopping because it seemed like cases in the US were way marked up. Cheap manufacturers like Bitfenix, DIYPC, and Darkflash had huge markups like almost 2-3x!
One thing which I must say is that the Thumbnails of ur videos are dope AF🔥always!
I think this case is a fine value, if you are looking at building a new pc and looking at the h510i or something, those fans and the controller make it worth it along with the tempered glass front panel. You are paying for how much better it looks, and the two 140mm fans that are expensive on their own. I do wish there was no rgb strip if i am being honest though.
Is this cases side panel completely clear or is it tinted? I am looking for a complete clear side panel.
I have an H500i and honestly, I prefer the design of the none elite version of the H510s. It's nice to have Type-C up in the front, though it would have been nicer to keep both Type-A ports along with that. The Front Fan bracket being closer to the front makes it sound like having fans there might not be as effective and I'd still rather have a fan at the top back like the other variants. Not into the main thing this case is more expensive for, so, not for me.
Now if it had mesh on the front instead of glass... You said it, cooking up a mesh panel for the future.. yes please!!
