30-40fps is fine for most games, looks nice, and is responsive, some games benefit from having 60fps+ though, I am still running a R9 270X/ AMD FX 8150/ 16GB of matching DDR3 ram @1600Mhz, runs most games still, but does struggle with the newest and some will not run with the old GCN 1.0 DX11_1 arch, but I can run Cyberpunk and RDR 2 at 40fps+ When I get the money I will be upgrading to a Ryzen/ Nvidia 2*** series

A great follow-up video would be "what is the most cost-efficient upgrade to the most average gamer pc?" Try a handful of cpus and gpus, score them on their fps increase, weighted by how costly the upgrade is.
You can't really upgrade from this system because it's basically the best cpu for this chipset. So to upgrade the cpu you need to upgrade the mobo, then you need to also buy new ram because ddr4 vs ddr3. You could upgrade your gpu but what's the point when you're stuck on this cpu.
It's absolutely criminal that he quotes the price as "$750-$1300" for a machine with a 4770k and a 1060 6 gb. These hardware prices are absolutely insane. I remember getting my first pc for around $1000, and it was running a 6600k watercooled, R9 390, 16 gb DDR4. And that was when the 6th gen was brand new.
Nowadays you can get an insane pc for 1000, i got mine for 1000 around a year ago but if i waited a year i wouldve gotten a much better deal. But obviously that is unavoidable because thats how tech prices work unfortunately…

For real. My first PC I built back in 08 was a Q6600, 8gigs of ram, and an 8800GTS. I managed to squeeze 8 years out of that thing before upgrading to an i5 7600k, 1060, and 16gigs of ram. Basically exactly what he built in this video. Both brand new cost me $1200. The 7600k is now sitting at 32 gigs of ram but other than that remains untouched but is starting to show it's age. I got new monitors along with both of them for that price. Looking at the prices now for a new build and it's hovering between 1900-2200 depending on sales for nearly the same modern config.

So yeah just don't buy on online sellers that has low rating you be good locally anyway, overseas aka china can be a 50/50 cause looking at their situation as well as the packaging etc.
For a while I was rocking an I7 2600K, GTX 1050TI, and 16 gigs of ram since I built my rig in 2017. I was amazed at everything I could merely run above 30FPS with decent graphical settings, even into 2020 and 2021. At the beginning of 2022 I upgraded my GPU to an AMD 5 ryzen 5600X and my ram to 32 gigs. I also ended up upgrading my card to a 3070TI about 2 weeks ago. I feel like a my middle school self again.
In the same boat. My last PC build was in 2010 in middle school in a 83F room thanks to my GTX 480. Bought a STRIX laptop for college with a 1070 and 16gb ram. Then now just built a PC with a 3090Ti. Overkill, I thought I would make my 1070 obsolete but it's still got a few years for less demanding tasks, as it was starting to show it's limitations for content creation.

@@huskycruxes7232 I had something of a similar caliber last year, Ryzen 1600, 2x4gb 2666, and gtx 1060 6gb, was having issues with warzone stuttering every minute or so and i figured it was RAM leak, got a budget 2x8gb 3200 and the game got about 25% more fps and the stuttering stopped (with the caveat that i had to underclock my ram to 3000 because my cpu didn't like 3200)
As of late it’s gotten even better as well. Here in Canada I can go pick up a pre built for around 1600 with a 3060 if I have the money if not you can also get 1100 dollar ones with 2000 series GPU’s Edit: To build one it’s even better however it’s honestly cheaper to get a 3060 prebuilt and upgrade it overtime

Not that much possibilities tbh. New 6-8 core cpu that requires a now mobo and 32gb ddr4 ram. + a new gpu, problematical atm. So basically it would be a new system since the only parts that can be used further are the case, ssd and psu.

I had a very similar PC few years ago, but with Gtx 1050 Ti, and I have to say that I was capable of playing everything what I wanted to play along with good graphic settings. However after few years I have upgraded it for Rtx 2070 super and DDR 4 memory with AMD ryzen 5 CPU and I'm really happy with the experience of playing it. Btw had anyone else watched this video in 2022 lol
have something similar i just took rtx 2060 cos it was in my budget at that time XD but 1050Ti holds pretty darn good even today in games like Lost Ark and Ark(ark kills even 2060 with mods XD) so yh 1050 Ti aint bad at all its pretty good for its price for my opinion..but still 900-1000€ gaming pc is not that hard so more ppl should just get the darn 2060 or 2070 and enjoy it for few years at peace XD
@@webbie7503 bcs on average ray tracing also gives a major hit to your framerates while giving minor visual changes (maybe not always minor, depends on the game) so even if u want the current cards with better ray tracing, they're out of stock
@@webbie7503 even a lot of high end RTX cards still have shitty frame rates with ray tracing for what is 'cutting edge' very expensive hardware from benchmark videos I've seen. The few ray tracing games I own it's honestly hard to see the difference with it turned on in those titles versus non-RT rendering methods. If I spent a thousand bucks on a GPU with ray tracing I'd kind of want more than 60-70fps in a game like Cyberpunk. (My RTX 2060 *non-super* gets about 30fps in that game with RT on.)

I came close i7 2600 gtx 1060 3gb but my 1060 died a bit over a month now
@@huskycruxes7232 I had something of a similar caliber last year, Ryzen 1600, 2x4gb 2666, and gtx 1060 6gb, was having issues with warzone stuttering every minute or so and i figured it was RAM leak, got a budget 2x8gb 3200 and the game got about 25% more fps and the stuttering stopped (with the caveat that i had to underclock my ram to 3000 because my cpu didn't like 3200)
As of late it’s gotten even better as well. Here in Canada I can go pick up a pre built for around 1600 with a 3060 if I have the money if not you can also get 1100 dollar ones with 2000 series GPU’s
Edit: To build one it’s even better however it’s honestly cheaper to get a 3060 prebuilt and upgrade it overtime
um idk if thats a canadian thing but even after currency conversion, I can manage to build a 12400f+3060ti build with $800usd (~1.1k cad)

@@ethanjenkins8941 the trick is to be willing to purchase an used gpu and cpu from someone that's upgrading. I was able to get the 3060ti for $350, 12400f for $120.

I upgraded to a Ryzen 5 3600 with Asrock B450m pro5-f mobo with only 8gb 3200 Oced to 3333 cl16 Pny XLR8 ram on single channel.Still have my Rx 570 8gb though.
Gotta say the i5 wasn't half-bad there were stutters here and there but Cyberpunk was playable.

Dual channel RAM actually causes 2 latencies, which is twice the latent of one latent, therefore single channel is faster. Would you rather carry 2 or 1 bowling balls? Think about it.

I had a very similar PC few years ago, but with Gtx 1050 Ti, and I have to say that I was capable of playing everything what I wanted to play along with good graphic settings. However after few years I have upgraded it for Rtx 2070 super and DDR 4 memory with AMD ryzen 5 CPU and I'm really happy with the experience of playing it. Btw had anyone else watched this video in 2022 lol
have something similar i just took rtx 2060 cos it was in my budget at that time XD but 1050Ti holds pretty darn good even today in games like Lost Ark and Ark(ark kills even 2060 with mods XD) so yh 1050 Ti aint bad at all its pretty good for its price for my opinion..but still 900-1000€ gaming pc is not that hard so more ppl should just get the darn 2060 or 2070 and enjoy it for few years at peace XD

@@webbie7503 bcs on average ray tracing also gives a major hit to your framerates while giving minor visual changes (maybe not always minor, depends on the game) so even if u want the current cards with better ray tracing, they're out of stock

@@webbie7503 even a lot of high end RTX cards still have shitty frame rates with ray tracing for what is 'cutting edge' very expensive hardware from benchmark videos I've seen. The few ray tracing games I own it's honestly hard to see the difference with it turned on in those titles versus non-RT rendering methods.
If I spent a thousand bucks on a GPU with ray tracing I'd kind of want more than 60-70fps in a game like Cyberpunk. (My RTX 2060 *non-super* gets about 30fps in that game with RT on.)

Same, I've been stuck on AMD FM2 platform(AMD A10 5800K 4.1 OC all core stable, Entermax, CPU tower air cooler, 16GB DDR3 RAM OC 2133Mhz, Gigabyte Micro ATX mobo, AMD RX 560 4GB GPU, 240GB SSD/2TB HDD, DVD-RW burner, 650 watt Rosewill simi-modular PSU in a Fractal Design Core 1000 case ) for a good while now, and I'm ready for an upgrade past 4 cores, as even on a lower resource OS like Manjaro MATE linux I sometimes still see some high CPU spikes running dual 1080p 60hz monitors.
This is me, I was able to snag a 3600x for near msrp but there’s no way I’ll be able to get a 3070 for it’s msrp.

I actually did this with a CRT tube once. If you can smear it with a make up sponge, it makes the flickering way more manageable
