    I've been using it for about 3 or 4 months now. It has really improved the texture of my skin. I have oily sensitive skin. I even put it under my eyes. I tried 2 other retinols and they were irritating my skin and was painful. I love this. I use 2 pumps and use it on my neck too. I'm 41 years old.

    It's great seeing a board certified derm using face product as a treatment for undereye area. Since eye cream can be pricey, this topical vitamin A is a great alternative.

    I've recently started with Cerave resurfacing retinol and I use it as an eye cream. It's actually helpful 😊 I don't even use it every night like it says on the packaging. Just use a little Vaseline around the corners of your eyes, mouth and nose and go for it!

    brilliantly explained, thank you. All of these ingredients have been a mystery to me as most of the messages out there are from people interested in selling their products. I appreciate an objective and knowledgeable explanation. I have been using this for a couple of weeks and now I know why! I'm using it for anti aging, not acne scars.

    I know this is an old video.. but I’ve been using this retinol for roughly a month now. I have been using it at night only after I cleanse. However the cleanser I use is CeraVe’s Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser w/ Benzoyl Peroxide. I’ve seen people say it’s okay to use these two CeraVe products together, but I’ve also heard you shouldn’t.. what’s right?!

    • @traceysmvr

      Benzoyl peroxide is extremely drying. I would hold off on that

      Foaming cleansers of any kind can also cause micro-abrasions so keep that in mind 👍

  • @beatrice9311

    Hello. I just bought this item and I'm very hopeful after hearing such positive comments from professionals like you. My issue is that, not a lot of budget friendly items with such good ingredients have all of their products in my country and we can't buy them from outside due to international restrictions. So this retinol serum is the only retinol serum from Cerave available to me where I live. My question is; while applying this to my overall face, can I use this under and on the corners of my eyes?
    If possible; I'd also like to know the difference between La Roche Posay's anti aging eye products; the Redermic R and Redermic C and if I can use one of these with their own Vitamin C serum in the same routine or should I not mix them at all.
    Thank you very much for your time.

    This is the best for my dry skin that does get milia. It has helped me get rid of them. I use a moisturizer afterward. Anything with fragrance makes me itch and this doesn't have fragrance. It seems to be helping my fine lines. I need something that helps more in removing my dark sun spots. This has lightened, maybe it will eventually get rid of them?

    • @lapharmacie98
      @lapharmacie98 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, I’m a pharmacist. I wouldn’t worry too much about it since it’s pretty low on the ingredient list, and the formulation is specifically intended for oily acne prone skin so it was probably tested on such skin as well. Moreover, these comedogenicity test are done on rabbit ears, so they aren’t really accurate. Also it’s more about the formulation as a whole rather than looking at particular ingredients. Hope this helps

      It’s because retinol causes your skin to purge. You’ll go through what’s called the “retinoid uglies” before you start to see improvements in your skin. You have to use it consistently for months before seeing results. Start with once or twice a week and see how your skin tolerates it before using it daily. Also, use it with a moisturizer. Some dermatologists recommend the sandwich method-moisturizer, let it dry, then use a pea sized amount of the retinol serum, then add moisturizer on top again. That will prevent excess drying and redness that is normal with topical vitamin A. Hope this helps!

      Dr. dray on TH-cam is a dermatologist who talks a lot about skin care and gas vids on how yo use retinol. A lot of ppl give up on it too soon so they don’t see the results. Consistency and moisturizer are key :)
