Agreed, even though I’ve read stuff on learning how to read them, it’s still very confusing and a video breakdown would be amazing especially from them because they make things so much easier to understand
I love that you're open to drugstore products that everyone can get because some of the dermatologists on hair look down upon them and they can be great products not to mention affordable for those of us who don't have a large disposable income
I'm over 70 and for years I have used Cetaphil products, Oil of Olay, and extra virgin olive oil. I never expose my skin to the sun longer than 15 mins a day. I have really good skin
I am a general practitioner, living and practicing in Colombia. I am passionate about low cost skin care. Thank you for this indepth explanation. How I wish me and my patients had access to all of these products. I now have to go and cruise around supermarkets' and drugstores' aisles and shelves in town to see what products are available here.
I got to meet Dr. Shah today at my daughter’s dermatologist office. He was very nice and very knowledgeable on my daughter’s skin condition. I hope to see pediatric eczema videos in the future.
My sister gifted me Olay retinol serum and it has changed my skin so much. After using it for just one month and that too just twice a week, it has made my skin so smooth and removed my pigmentation to 80%. I never knew that only one item in my skin care routine can bring such huge change.
Before I understood dermatology I discovered eating bell peppers dramatically reduced my acne. I couldn't figure out why. Turns out bell peppers are super high in Vitamin A. Didn't eliminate my acne but definitely cut in half.
@@mariamonk791 Both. Initially I was making homemade calzones which had tons of peppers. Once I realized the connection then I ate them raw. There is a delay, and it took a few weeks for the vitamins to begin to reach the surface and have an effect. A lot of new science confirms this. Anyway, as an example Dr. Mark Hyman has some good videos and books on the relationship between food and health. Anyway, hope it helps in some way.
@@djohnson-ku4cl wow no way I started having acne out of nowhere super bad on my chin it hurts I’m going to eat more bell peppers I love them anyways I just haven’t gotten them lately
I live by anything Paula's Choice makes. I've been using PC since 2012, and after 10 years, my skin has never been better. Believe it or not, the most important thing I've ever done was learn from Paula herself to use a great sunscreen EVERY SINGLE DAY, no matter what the forecast says. 10 years on, I've basically frozen all beginning wrinkles in their tracks.
I got into this video by accident looking for new moisturizers and serums, Now I cant afford Lancôme anymore, and after watching three of your videos in one hour, I’m going tomorrow to Walgreens and buy all I need. Thank you so much
No joke, Olay is great. I was gifted a bunch of Olay products about 2 years ago, when I had first turned 40. For many, many years I was using a variety of oil-free/acne prone skin products because I thought I needed them. I had major breakouts for most of my adult life but turns out my skin was so thirsty and pretty sensitive. I've been using the Olay Retinol 24 a few nights a week and the Ultra Rich cream everyday (both fragrance free) for 2 years and it's totally transformed my skin. Love it and never turning back!
Olay (in my opinion) is the best skincare brand that doesn’t cost $500 each product. My skin feels so nice after using it and each container lasts me about 3-4 months.
@@LazyAmericanWoman Thank you so much for responding hun. I found a trial size at the store and did a patch test today on my upper arm and so far so good. I have sensitive skin so that's why Ive been weary about it. I really appreciate it, thank you again.😊 Can I ask what changes you've noticed?
@@hmmm463 i can’t truly say yes or no because i started using it at the same time as i started using glycolic acid and i’m unsure which one helped with my hyperpigmentation. but i would recommend both!
I've been using Oil of Olay for over 30 years. Just followed my grandmother's routine. I am almost 54 and w.ill continue to use it. Ty for this video. The younger generation needs to understand the importance of moisturizer.
I LOVE my Olay Retinol! I use it once a week and love results it gives! I originally only wanted to use it for anti aging benefits, but it has even out my skin tone a little and helped reduce the appearance of Crows feet around the eyes and also has helped with reducing the depth of my smile lines... I really think if you are considering making the move to purchase.. DO SO! Just be caution on not to over use
I left a comment on one of your most recent videos, but I'll leave a similar one here too. My son (who just turned 14) started to develop some pretty intense acne. It isn't cystic, but it was starting to really bother him. We had been using the "standard fare" for acne (salicylic wipes, benzoyl peroxide, etc.), but they weren't doing a whole lot. After seeing this video, I ended up ordering some of the products mentioned for him to try. If the OTC retinols didn't work, we were going to have him see my derm. Well, the retinols have worked like magic for him. I started him off on the CeraVe, which started clearing his face immediately. He now uses the CeraVe and La Roche-Posay interchangeably and his skin is next-to perfect. We're both so grateful to the two of you for offering this advice for free. It's invaluable.
If u know n understand the science behind cellulite n why they appear, you'd know these creams are scams or work temporary. Dr berg has video abt it n diet to reduce possibility to get cellulites
I have yet to use any retinol products but I'm a huge Olay fan. Started using the 7 signs of aging serum since I was in my mid twenties. But last year I switched up to the regenerist (red jar) day & night sculpting cream...it's amazing! It's true that Olay is underrated. But I love it!!!
I'm a dude and had good experiences with Olay (I stumbled on it in the quest of "trying everything" to see what would balance my combination dry/oily skin and combat blemishes/breakouts). But I have not been able to keep at it cos it's so pricey for me. That was 20 years ago - I bet it's insane prices now.
I just wanted to send a note to say thank you. I am a 62 year old woman who struggled with acne since childhood. This was so bad that I was on accutane for a period of time. I listened to your video on ordinary and in a very short time I am experiencing relief. 😊
My daughter had horrible acne as a teenager. Her dermatologist refused to put her on Accutane. He said it did more harm than good. Im curious to know if the Accutane worked for your son too, Karen.
I hated retinols but now you have convinced me. You guys are the best looking dermatologists in the universe mostly cus your personalities are so awesome❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve been using Olay since I was 25 and I’m 30 now. I get asked all the time “how old are you” “what do you do to your face” I can say that hands down it is the best product I have kept in my routine.
I use the Olay regenerist cream and it makes your skin feel so smooth and moisturised. I have oily skin but this product has never made me oily and the morning after using it my skin looks flawless
Happy to see at least one Cerave product here. I've had super hyper sensitive skin all my life. All the Cerave products are amazing. Out of all their products the retinol serum and the skin renewing night cream are my favorites. They are life/game changers for me. Having such sensitive skin, I was a bit afraid of trying retinol. I started with the skin renewing night cream which is not a retinol product but contains biomimetic peptides, hyaluronic acid, and 3 essential ceramides. Within weeks of using that I had compliments on how much better my skin was looking. At some point I decided to add in the Cerave retinol serum. Great products! most people think I'm in my 40's when I'm 58
I am using CeraVe Resurfacing Retinol for Post Acne Scars. Scars are 10-12 years old. So far it has reduced the scars like 2-5℅ maybe the scars are too old. But one thing it has done to sking is that some areas look renewed. I want to ask you that what other CeraVe products are u using for wrinkles, fine lines?
I’m 30 and for the last 2 years I’ve been using the ordinary’s retinoid with their niacinamide serum topped with a nice thick moisturizer without any actives twice a week. My skin is always glowing and smooth and I hardly ever get acne. I love retinol!
@@user-ni6ho9yw6i right now I’m using innisfree’s nourishing cream with hunger and honey, but I’ve also used cerave, the rose night time moisturizer by fresh, or even a face oil like marula oil
Used Olay products for decades and started tretinoin but not until I was almost 60. I get accused of having "no lines" on my face, which of course I do have. One thing I was surprised you didn't mention - or maybe I missed it - is the importance of wearing sunscreen every single day but especially over top of retinol producst since they make you more sensitive to the sun. Love your videos.
You’re absolutely right. This was a great video! But they should have mentioned the importance of wearing sunscreen on the daily especially if you’re using a retinoid. They should have also mentioned that you’re typically suppose to use a retinoid at night. I don’t think they mentioned that…
@@_amritaksingh_ Yes please oh please only wear retinol at night and then apply a night cream because its the most potent then and supposed to only be used at night and sunlight damages/eradicates it so you'd be wasting your time/money and also need to apply sunscreen UVA/UVB (suggest higher than 30, ideally 45-50) after your cleansing, serum (like vitamin c or green tea or fruit acids), moisturizer, and then the sunscreen - boom, fantastic routine and you don't need anything else
I’ve been using body retinol for five years now around the same time I started to use the prescription ReTinA ,it’s been a life changing for me. It helped me to prevent creapy skin before it started. I’m 55 now and I have good skin texture thanks to retinol. Thank goodness there’s another body lotion I can buy with retinol
@@savannahbanana2538 I started to use the products I found at Winners. The one I’m using now is called Retinol body lotion made in the USA by Kira Labs inc. south Florida. It contains retinol argan oil and caffeine. Not tested on animals natural ingredients. I wish I could take a picture and post it lol . I can’t seem to find these type of products there any more, not sure if it’s to do with the supply chain or not. I live on the east coast of Canada 🇨🇦, Newfoundland. I’ve been on the hunt for another lotion so hope I can get the one , mentioned one the video. I hope this helped, I’m sorry I can’t do more . Have a great day 😊
I have SUPER sensitive skin and stayed clear of retinol for years….afraid it would totally irritate it. I got brave and started the Olay 24 hour and OMG I’m so glad I did. I moisturize first with my proven sensitive skin moisturizer and then do the Olay and it works perfectly. I really highly recommend this.
I did the same thing, avoided retinol due to super sensitive skin. I think I tried it once with no clue what I was doing and my skin became so inflamed I just figured I can’t use it. I’m about to give it another shot, the right way (hopefully 😂) So glad to hear your experience, gives me hope!
Love you guys’ content! Please consider a video on stretch marks / cellulite- prevention, causes, myths (do creams or weight loss work?) Etc! Thanks for another great video, I started using retinol last month because you your videos!
Weight loss and exercise work. Creams don't. I do 300 squats 2x per week and the leg press machine 2x per week. After 4 months my cellulite is about 65-70% reduced.
@@Liz-ic6jb 300 squats? Why in the world are you doing that many reps? Haha, nothing wrong with it, you just won't grow any significant muscle that way, it's mostly for endurance.
I've used Retin-A as well... maybe my mid 20's early 30's...stopped after a while...was prescribed by dermatologist... wishing I would have kept using... definitely going back for me...or better yet purchase...my skin is VERY sensitive tho
They spoke about it in one of the previous videos. As I understood all powder collagens are pretty useless. They also mentioned that applying collagen on skin won't help much coz collagen molecules are too heavy to penetrate the skin.
do you mean like ingesting collagen? For my understanding, the best way is applying directly to the skin, not taking them. As any other nutrients and proteins, collagen is fragmented into amino acids after you ingest them. They will no longer be collagen.
It is unlikely that whole collagen will make it to your bloodstream. However, amino acids of the collagen may, and they serve as the building blocks for healthy skin cell functioning
Right now there’s no conclusive evidence to support collagen supplements actually working for your skin. The only thing I’ve found so far that actually increases collagen production is Retinoids but other than that it seems like all you can do is protect your collagen with sunscreen or antioxidants like vitamin C.
I have extremely dry, sensitive, AND acne prone skin. Every retinoid I have ever used has been prohibitively irritating, except for the Olay Retinol 24. So I’m glad to see it featured here!
Thank you guys for all you do and for acknowledging that sometimes people live in areas and have situations when they can't see a dermatologist in person! I just started using apostrophe about a month ago and finally getting to talk to a dermatologist and get a treatment plan has been amazing for my skin and self esteem! I live in a small town in Arkansas and all the dermatologist in driving range either wouldn't see me because I'm a cancer survivor(placental site trophoblastic tumor), am currently undergoing hormone therapy, or the few that would see me(a few hour drive each way) said I couldn't bring my son with me due to covid restrictions which I understand but he's 2.5, not in school, and I had no other choices. Small town living is great but frustrating when all you want is your skin to look like it did before you had hormonal acne.
How did you get started with Apostrophe? I dont live in a small town but it seems here its hard to get into one and I really dont have extra time to go to one in person.
Bless your heart. I just now saw this video along with your comments. Sounds like you are trying to make the best of a bad/hard situation! I hope things are going better for you. Glad you got a good new governor! Lord bless you and your little one!
Just want to say that I hope you are doing well…my daughter just underwent 4 rounds of chemo for a partial molar pregnancy/gtn. Sending you a big hug! 💛🙏🏼🫶
This is a very informative video. I am 71 years old and have not been a regular user of retinol. I tried to use it for acne when I was younger, but I always stopped because of the irritation. I wish I had seen this video a long time ago. Thank you so much for sharing this information. I am already sharing it with some young people.
I subscribed to Versed body retinol after I watched this video. 8 months later I can definitely see a difference in my hands and arms. It was a great recommendation and I’m happy I listened to you!
Paula’s choice retinol products are my favourites. I have been using them for almost 2 years. I started with the ‘weaker’ version with bakuchiol for about 1 year, and am now on the 1% concentration. I keep my night-time retinol-routine really simple - double cleans, retinol, moisturiser. I do this 3-4 times a week, and on non-retinol nights, use a gentle PHA product to help with the process of skin turnover. I tried the Olay retinol last year, finding the texture rather...strange. It’s now my neck moisturiser :D
I love it too Wendy, and it’s nice hearing that dermatologists talk about its benefits. Some people think higher price brands equal better results but in reality more affordable brands like Olay can be effective. My mom has used Nivea for years and at almost 70 she hardly has any wrinkles!
I’ve been on tretinoin for my acne for the past 10 years (I’m 26), and I can’t see myself ever not using it. Im one of the lucky people who never really dealt with the irritation or dryness often associated, which is great.
Same here my skin looooves tretinoin and you can pry it from my cold dead hands. I had irritation for what a week other than the usual purge issue with my cystic acne when I started using it on my face and chest 9 years ago. Its been wonderful even the ridiculously thin skin on my chest has benefited and become thicker.
Thank you for breaking this down, I smoked for 4 years, have pigmentation from birth control and pregnancy. YES SMOKING IS BAD. But avoiding the sun has spared me more than I deserve re smoking.
I hit 60 and suddenly started to see wrinkles under my eyes. I should have taken care of my self but finally realized to use something good! I use dermalmd anti aging serum with eye cream before I go bed. A little tingling sensation for a couple of weeks but after that I see a good result! Thanks!

Very informative! I use a gentle cleanser, Glycolic Acid pads, then my Olay w/Retinol. Face is clear, skin is smooooth, and no adult acne anymore. People compliment my skin quite often and I get asked all of the time about my routine. I also rub the back of my hands with the rest of the product after I’m finished with my face.
I've been putting my Oil of Olay Regenerist Retinol 24, unscented 😉 on my hands and arms. I put everything on my hands so no big deal but Holy cats, my arms are like silk. Unreal.
Yes I've seen a difference. I also use No 7 Retinol night cream which isn't moisturizing but a high concentration of retinol. Together they pack a punch!

I've been using the old school original Oil of Olay face cream as long as I've been using a face moisturizer. It is the only product that doesn't irritate my skin (besides coconut oil). My grandmother used oil of olay as long as I can remember. Even when the cream was pink and not white. She lived to be 102. And she also drank diet Dr. Pepper everyday. It reminds me just to live my life and enjoy it and not be obsessed with avoiding everything because it could cause health problems.
Same here. I've been using Oil of Olay as a moisturizer since young for 3 decades and when I stopped working, have only used soap and water morning and night. But wondering if Olay retinol24 will erase some lines
I too have been using the original Oil of Olay (the pink formula) since I was in highschool. People always say I never seem to age. I will be 70 this year so decided to add retinol at night. Of course I went with the Oil of Olay retinol! Tried and true skincare line and highly underrated due to all of the fancy new and expensive brands. I call it Oil of Delay😄
@Kana Michelle stick with what works, right? I also recently started adding an oil of olay retinol into my night routine. It is a purple bottle and cost like $30, which is a lot to me. And I can't say whether it helps or works yet, as I've only been using it for about a month, and not always consistently. We shall see.
Gratitude and two suggestions……I wanted to express my gratitude for what you taught me with this channel. I can’t erase years of St Yves scrubbing mistakes and it may be too late for me now to save my 50+ skin but i am applying your retinol tips and trying to put together a deliberate skincare routine for my needs. Hi Beth, when you use Versed Press Restart after the CeraVe, do you need. A time lag between those 2? I mean example now ure using Cerave. And tomorrow using Versed Press or you have to wait for a few days to change your retinol brand?
@Anasthasya S I used Cerave for several weeks inconsistently. (Because I wasn't seeing improvement. When I got the Press Restart, I decided to do the left leg with that and the Cerave (a new jar) on the right leg. I used them the same time everynight and even in the morning after I used an exfoliating mitten. I saw a difference with the Press Restart leg within 3 weeks. The Cerave didn't show much of a change. My sister said benefited because she said the Cerave worked for the bumps on her arms.
I am 57 and have used Olay products since my youth. I love the lovely fragrance along with the effectiveness of the products. Very affordable too. Btw, my skin looks fab.
So do I since I was 18! it was recommended to me by a modelling agency when I first started out as a model. Most people associated it then with more mature woman but they did have a range which was for anyone which no one seemed to know!

My grandma, who also has amazing skin, said that she only uses Vaseline to wash her face. She has never used soap on her face. She also loves Oil of Olay on her eyes.
Can you please do a video on what the best retinoid creams are for the eyes and how to use them (how often to apply them, where it's safe to put them, if they need to be mixed with anything, etc.)? About 10 years ago I had just tried retinol for the very first time and I made the mistake of slathering it on my eyelids and under my eyes, thinking that it was like a regular eye cream (I didn't have the benefit of the Internet at the time to learn from). It was such an inflamed nightmare for about 10 days afterward and I was really scared that it was going to do permanent damage. I never thought I'd use a retinoid again, but I've seen a lot of videos suggesting it, so I'm ready to try again, but I'd like some guidance on it around the eyes.
Started using retinols when I was getting serious maskne at the start of the pandemic and differin was the end all be all. Got the suggestion from an earlier video y’all made. It’s been about 2 years since I started using it and it still holds up. Haven’t had a serious outbreak since. Thank you!
Hi there. Do you apply differin as a spot treatment or daily topical. I recently been getting problems regarding maskne (pustules and acne) but I'm not sure which approach I should go with whether staying with mild ingredients like salicyilic acid and niacinamide or try out retinols. @Doctorly can you help this one too? 😅
@@fazwanalif when the maskne started for me, I originally started off using salicylic acid and niacinamide, best thing that worked for me was the 30-day-mircale line but it was only consistently clearing up about 75% of the problem. I tracked it for about 3 months. I wanted a better solution so I made the switch to retinols and it only took about 2 weeks to see a difference and one month to clear it up 99%. Back then I was using it 2-3X a week but now I use it about once every other week, and I still may get a break out every now then (usually only during my period) but it has not been a major issue since i started using it. So I would recommend switching to retinols if you feel like the salicylic acid and niacinamide alone aren't doing enough.
I tried almost everything to get rid my dark spots and melasma and I can say that Olay is super effective. My face and neck is supple and clear and I'm getting compliments that I look younger. I will never use any other product aside from Olay. From body lotion to face care, coz i spent thousannds of $$$$ but only Olay(Purple jar) cleared my skin.
I recently found your channel through a youtube suggest and honestly, as a mid thirties woman I have found this so incredibly helpful. I have learned so much from you so I could make informed choices.
I wish you also talked about using retinol while doing "facial laser hair removal"! I'm not really sure if it's safe to use a retnoil in this case. I hope you see my comment!🙏🏻🙏🏻 thanks for all your great and informative contents! I like your positive energies ❤❤
I remember my great grandmother telling me when I was a little girl, olay is the best you can do for your skin and I haven't stopped using it all these years
Was your great grandmother an M.D. Dermatologist? If not, why would you listen to her over a real doctor? Back in her day, Olay was just about all there was, besides Ivory Soap and Pond’s cold cream.
I started with Olay when it was still Oil of Olay...decades later I never miss a day with Olay! Just last night a lady said to me, "you have such beautiful skin" And yes I have the purple jar
This is a great job you have done. I have watched 3 of your videos, 2 on retinoids, took note carefully with screenshots. Now I feel like an expert of retinoids 😎 Thanks a lot
I love the olay retinol. I had dry skin that's prone to acne. Olay retinol cleared up my acne and my skin looks so bright and fresh now. People literally ask me what treatment did you use assuming that I spent a lot of money to improve my skin
Years ago I was prescribed for Tretinoin. I applied it at bedtime and would wake up with flakey skin. A friend recommended using something with alpha hydroxy in the morning. It worked well. I’d still be using Tretinoin if the price hadn’t gone sky high and insurance stopped paying for it.
best retinoid product for acne is EPIDUO - 0.1% Adapalene, 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide. This was prescribed by my doctor few years back when I didn't know what the ingredients are and I remember it completely solved my acne problem. It's a prescription product
SAME! However users be advised that it can temporarily dry out skin to begin with but it will subside after a week to a few weeks. At least that's what my doctor told me and what I experienced.
I'm glad we have the Versed option for body retinol now! It's better like you said, and it's truly cruelty-free, unlike Paula's Choice now. Lol it does look like it's pronounced Ver-sed.
@@brittneylevesque5380 sadly, Paula's Choice was sold to a parent company that is not cruelty-free, so a lot of people have issue with that and need alternatives.
I haven’t yet to try another brand but Maelove’s retinal. I’m inconsistent and usually apply once I see my skin getting dry. This works over night. No exaggeration. I love this brand.

Did u cook it or eat it raw?
@@mariamonk791 Both. Initially I was making homemade calzones which had tons of peppers. Once I realized the connection then I ate them raw.

Within weeks of using that I had compliments on how much better my skin was looking. At some point I decided to add in the Cerave retinol serum. Great products! most people think I'm in my 40's when I'm 58

At about 1:50 - Dr. Shah says Retinoid is the best ingredient after sunscreen.

@@momma8954 UH Yeah
Yes it’s overall for cell turnover and to produce collagen ! Regenerate the skin
Can you guys talk about: if taking powder collagen really helps your skin/ helps reduce/prevent wrinkles. What brands should we use?
@@arissanishimuta I've heard ingesting collagen is also good for joints.
Right now there’s no conclusive evidence to support collagen supplements actually working for your skin. The only thing I’ve found so far that actually increases collagen production is Retinoids but other than that it seems like all you can do is protect your collagen with sunscreen or antioxidants like vitamin C.
These guys make the information easy to understand and enjoyable. They’re a great team, they work off of each other well.

Which Carave product were you using on your body?
I have been using the Cerave and it WORKS. My sun damage has improved and my pores at 43 are almost nonexistent. big fan!!!
Does pores reduce with it?
I am 57 and have used Olay products since my youth. I love the lovely fragrance along with the effectiveness of the products. Very affordable too. Btw, my skin looks fab.
I use oil of Olay forever
So do I since I was 18! it was recommended to me by a modelling agency when I first started out as a model. Most people associated it then with more mature woman but they did have a range which was for anyone which no one seemed to know!
I’m 62 and enjoying Murad retinol night cream. I use it alongside Estée Lauder Advanced night repair serum, which I’ve been using for 10 yrs, and Beauty Pie retinol night cream. I alternate a stable vita😊min c with the retinol every other week and always use a vitamin c before my sunscreen in the morning . So far I’m very satisfied with this regime,
You are SPOT on when you speak about body retinol. I am 63 and I am now noticing my hands and arms not looking the same. I swear they changed over the weekend. lololol
Lol! @ over the weekend 😅
Great info! Love the interaction between the two of you! I am on Tretinoin and have been for a few years and go to a medi spa for monthly skin pen treatments. I also have had BBL and Moxi treatment. I am a faithful sunscreen user. For 69 years old, my skin is great!
I started on 2% retinol in Squalane by The Ordinary, no irritation, I'm still on my first 2 weeks of using it and absolutely loving it
I see no difference
@@GuidetteExpert How long have you been using it? It can take up to 6-8 months of continuous use to notice a difference.
That's what I'm using too. Been using it for a few months and def see a difference in my skin.
I’m using The Ordinary Squalance too but the 0.2% bc it is my first time and i’m in my early 20s. I’m not sure if I’m seeing any difference :/
Ummmmm.. Thank you!! I started getting acne as an adult, my skin was so out of control so quickly. I went to a dermatologist, and they suggested Humira! I watched a few of your videos, and got myself a simple routine and my skin is literally transforming in front of my eyes! I’m so thankful for you, I didn’t want to chance Lymphoma to get my skin under control, when I really just needed a few things on the surface!!! I can’t express how thankful I am to have watched these videos
I have sensitive skin and I'm so glad the Cerave one didn't make me purge on my cheeks. I'm now using 0.025% retin-A. Love it.
What to use in other days of week when not using retinol? I use Retinol twice a week but don't know what to use other 5 days for glowing n plumpy skin
Doc can you please make a video on how to apply retinal properly & tips to prevent purging? Also what best ingredients to pair with retinal???
Their previous retinol videos cover those questions.
I respect that you all accept eachothers differences and continue to make videos. they are super accessible and realist too. tytytyty.
Cutest 👏🏼👏🏼
Used to ask my grandma how her skin looked so young. This was 20 years ago. She said “i only use oil of Olay “ back then skincare wasn’t a massive market like now. So that’s when my oil of Olay relationship started 😂
My grandma, who also has amazing skin, said that she only uses Vaseline to wash her face. She has never used soap on her face. She also loves Oil of Olay on her eyes.
You guys have such awesome chemistry, and come across as really humble and friendly. Thanks for the great videos
This was concise and extraordinarily informative. I am a big “why” person, and this certainly answered my questions. Thank you.
I really appreciate all your guidance and advice, in particular your honesty about various products 🙏🏻
You guys are the best couple on skin care. You are so sweet to each other.
Which retinol product would you recommend specifically for under eye? Thanks for the great info! Very helpful.
Avene has a good one
Versed also has an under eye balm that I’ve heard is good.
Acne Free Adapalene Gel is usually even cheaper than La Roche Posay or Differin, and it's pretty much identical. I love this stuff!
I recently found your channel through a youtube suggest and honestly, as a mid thirties woman I have found this so incredibly helpful. I have learned so much from you so I could make informed choices.
Not only that you two are amazing dermatologists but incredibly good looking too😜. Can’t go wrong with this duo 😊
I wish you also talked about using retinol while doing "facial laser hair removal"! I'm not really sure if it's safe to use a retnoil in this case. I hope you see my comment!🙏🏻🙏🏻 thanks for all your great and informative contents! I like your positive energies ❤❤
My dermatologist told me to stop the retinol a week before laser and start it again a week after the laser appointment .. hope this helped 🙏🏻
Advanced Clinicals Retinol Cream: What are your thoughts on this product?
I remember my great grandmother telling me when I was a little girl, olay is the best you can do for your skin and I haven't stopped using it all these years
Me neither im going to be 56, i have been through hell in my life. I do not have on wrinkle. I love olay
Was your great grandmother an M.D. Dermatologist? If not, why would you listen to her over a real doctor?
Back in her day, Olay was just about all there was, besides Ivory Soap and Pond’s cold cream.
@suzanneemerson2625 Olay was recommended in this video, so grandma was obviously on to something 🙄
@@Jersey.D3vil201m
I. Would love to get a jar of that
It was very comforting to see the CeraVe retinal I've been using on this list!
Avene retrinal is highly recommend for anyone who wants to use retinaldehyde.
I was wondering why they didn't mention retinaldehyde. I'm enjoying the one by Avene and I understand Maelove makes one too.
@@Kris-qt6lr love this product and the one for the eyes so gentle but effective
I started with Olay when it was still Oil of Olay...decades later I never miss a day with Olay! Just last night a lady said to me, "you have such beautiful skin" And yes I have the purple jar
This is a great job you have done. I have watched 3 of your videos, 2 on retinoids, took note carefully with screenshots. Now I feel like an expert of retinoids 😎
Thanks a lot
Epiduo Forte worked so well for me.
I'm glad we have the Versed option for body retinol now! It's better like you said, and it's truly cruelty-free, unlike Paula's Choice now. Lol it does look like it's pronounced Ver-sed.
Omg I freaking LOVE Versed! Their Overnight Glycolic peel makes my skin feel and look ahhmazing. So glad they have a retinoid now too
Since when is Paula’s Choice not cruelty free? Everything I’m reading says they still are and not selling in mainland China
@@brittneylevesque5380 Paula’s choice is still cruelty free 💁♀️
@@brittneylevesque5380 sadly, Paula's Choice was sold to a parent company that is not cruelty-free, so a lot of people have issue with that and need alternatives.
Paulas is not cruelty free!?
I haven’t yet to try another brand but Maelove’s retinal. I’m inconsistent and usually apply once I see my skin getting dry.
This works over night. No exaggeration. I love this brand.
I LOVE the cerave retinol serum. I’ve noticed my post acne marks faded tremendously. Game changer!
whats your skin type and how many times a week do you use this product?
I’m oily/sensitive. I use every other day at night
The olay regenerist is good and never irritates my skin.
My favourite is Obagi Retinol 1.0% cream after 3 days is see peeling. Doesn't irritate like other creams. Prevent whiteheads for me too. I'm nearly 50 and get complimented on my skin.
I wish you would have talk about Retinaldehyde like Avene Retrinal 0.1.
Great idea! I would love too.
Dr. Maxfield and Dr. Shah tells me to jump and I ask them; "how high?" LOL, I went to Walmart and picked up the Olay retionl for dry skin after watching this video!! So far I LOVE how rich and creamy it is! Looking forward to awesome results. Thank Doctorly!
Me too! 🤣 I actually started a full routine because of them. Now I don't buy any products without checking with them first.
@@love2laughwa I love it!! 😆👏🏽
@Nasya Pleasant it depends on my mood. People will recommend putting a moisturizer after to “seal it in”. I will put this Olay retinol cream on my face and the new prescription (for the hyper pigmentation) I’m going to spot treat areas only at night. This cream works wonders! I love how plump my skin looks like in the morning! Good luck! ☺️
