Night Shyamalan movie Trap has come out and it is definitely playing with my emotions as far as how I feel about the way the movie is being marketed but also the thrill ride that the concept and story are taking me through. Trap is an upcoming American psychological thriller film written, directed, and produced by M. Night Shyamalan. The film stars Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Saleka Shyamalan, Hayley Mills, and Alison Pill. It is scheduled to be released on August 2, 2024.
A serial killer, dubbed "The Butcher", joins his daughter at a concert for pop star Lady Raven, an event he realizes is a trap set by police to catch him.

I think if they go the paranormal route it will be something like dexters dark passenger something making him want to kill from lines in the second trailer like “I feel out of control” and “l can’t stop I will just do this one last one” but the trailer could be throwing us off as these lines are voice over with no context

That's an interesting way to look at it! I have never seen Dexter so I can't speak to this comparison but I have seen other people make it though like you.

I'm dubious. If the story is what they show in the trailer, they should have been more circumspect. If the movie ISN'T what they show in the trailer, they should have been more circumspect. This movie MIGHT be No Way Out, but they're screwing it either way.

I mean I can't say you're too far off but I know M Night is going to make sure the marketing doesn't give it all away, there's something bigger to what we are seeing in the footage so far
