I loved it. The Butcher likely has a superpower as seen in Glass, Split, and Unbreakable. When you view it from that lens, it now makes more sense as to why he can evade for so long and the incredible things that occur in the 3rd act.
*Spoiler* The twist is Cooper believes (is led to believe) that the trap is at the stadium, but it's actually at his house. Lady Raven catches him off guard telling the driver to take them there instead of dropping Cooper off at his car, and that is where he is ultimately caught.
@filmobsessednerd I didn't think of it on my own, but after someone else said it, 2 things that I thought were strange made sense. 1) Why when she went to his house was her manager not trying to reach her to know where she was. Managers keep you on schedule, etc. 2) She texted the driver call the police (for the specific response team, who was supposed to come) and not call 911 which would have sent random police.
@electricDD, great point. I also think the authorities already knew that he had someone locked away. The authorities knew that he would delete him remotely, and that is why they led him back to the house. They wanted to save the potential victim. My baseless theory.
I took as straight baby mama drama… He tries to do something dope for his daughter, and her mom throws him under the bus…. Him leaving her multiple times, and her (daughter) calling it out… Definitely father daughter relationship movie…
@@filmobsessednerd Ive got a hunch... , that M. Night was co parenting when his real life daughter was a teenager... I could be way off. But the movie seemed way too cliché to be taken like a serious thriller. I'll have to watch again, to listen more to the dialog. But I saw beefing parents.
Lmao if it's true that M Night made it to promote his daughter's music career that would put some sour taste in my mouth but I didn't think it was horrible
I heard this movie was a MUSICAL, and in the 3rd act they make it about the singer and takes it away from Josh. Everyone is saying Josh killed it, but the 3rd act the singer and story killed the movie. Lol.
I liked it, not great but not awful, the ending has me wanting more of Josh, I would love a sequel focusing just on him being a serial killer!
