    As an F1 fan this movie is very cool. We know all those drivers in background but a lot of people might think they're just background characters instead of actual real life F1 drivers. The video quality and camera work is excellent! We're used to seeing a lot of those camera angles in broadcast in 720p 50fps but in the F1 movie they're using cinema quality cameras with wider shot which makes it a lot more immersive, but still accurate.
    Details are good: they set up real life garages, uses F2 cars styled to look like F1 by an F1 team, put characters in actual events doing activities real F1 drivers do, fitting sponsor logos, using as much real footage as possible and when they don't they still try to blend it with real footage of F1 cars in actual racing event. With less dialog (maybe to not give up the plot) and a lot of racing footage with sounds accurate to the current cars, it hints actual racing movie instead of drama with a bit of racing.
    Overall pretty exciting.

    This is going to be a film with a cliché story but the F1 races will be immersive and feel real. Konsinki is taking his knowledge of shooting F16 for Top Gun Maverick and bringing it to F1. Minimal CGI, practical effects and filming what speed and G force does to your body.

But the thing abt the budget, the hung is abt f1 the car are VERY EXPENSIVE. especially if ur planning to use it, and trying buy one for a movie plus using the money to put areas would go up around nearly 100 mil alone, which out them paying the tracks for permission to drive and film there also.

    New SUB here. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm for racing and your concerns regarding this movie; 300 million is a mega amount of money. Hopefully, Brad Pitt's F1 is good enough to earn all of it back and then some. I'm a fan of racing movies but I noticed that your list, while good, left out some other racing flicks, that are just as good, if not better. Movies like Grand Prix, starring James Garner. It's an older (ancient) F1 movie with a ton of onboard camera angles leading to a visceral experience. There's also LeMans, perhaps the greatest racing movie of all time, starring Steve McQueen. There's a purity about this movie that doesn't get spoiled with a plot, or acting--I'm being slightly facetious, but it's pretty damn good for people who love those old Porches and Ferraris.

    Good video, I'll try to explain why the dialogue was a bit cringy. First of all, all of the cars he mentioned are fairly similar in the straights with Red Bull having a massive advantage once the rear wing opens up. The reason why red bull was so dominant last year is because they were also the best in corners. F1 is a lot about speed + low tire wear and that's where RB was exceptional. The car however wasn't unsafe to drive. I mean yes, it was pointier and more sensitive which means it's easier to spin off but nobody is like "shit, that makes it unsafe to drive." And thats because you can't compromise on safety, the FIA is very strict with its regulations. I think they'd be better off using more technical terms. I hope that dialogue is a lot better in the proper context that's all

    • @filmobsessednerd
      @filmobsessednerd 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Appreciate the feedback! Usually when it comes to trailers dialouge can easily be taken out of context especially when it's only a few seconds and might not be represented of all the dialouge in the film but just one conversation exchange.

    The camera work from the 80s to the early 00s barerly frame the cars passing by. See any footage from that era and you feel the insame speed of the cars in a F1 race. Cameras and rigs are so great now that makes the frame of the car super stable and boring.
