How To Get The Splits ♥ Yoga For Full Splits | 30 Day Challenge

  • THE CHALLENGE:
    -If you want to get the splits, you must commit to working at it everyday.
    -Other videos that claim you'll get the splits fast, risk injury and are impossible claims.
    Choose some of the pairing videos in this descriptions to pair/rotate through each day and expedite your results.
    This is a 10 min yoga sequence that I've created for you that will target every muscle you need in order to achieve full leg flexibility. I want you guys to treat this as a 30 Day Challenge, where you will dedicate 10 min each day and practice these stretches. If you commit yourself to that, I promise you will be down in splits in no time.
    My 30 Day Challenge for you is to incorporate this video with my other yoga/fitness videos everyday. By working the muscles, getting them super warm and then going into deep stretches like the ones in the video, it will make your progress much quicker.

      Disneypixarbunny #loveyoutube Keep us informed how you are doing. As an older man I am finding it very slow going to make progress on splits and from what I have researched it is harder as a man as the pelvis is fixed and for many men there is a lack of ligament or muscle down there that makes it much harder. But if you keep at it and stretch safely then it can still be achieved, will just take a lot longer. I was following one guide for 3 workouts a day of 20 minutes each of 4 different exercises, but found it hard to fit them all in. I may also have been too many other exercises at same time to make any real progress.

    I just did the full splits for the first time in my life 🤗 I am 33 years old and I have never been this flexible, everrrr.

    did this for around two months, and i finally have my splits! i can go all the way down on my right, and almost all the way on my left. im going to keep doing it so i can get my left. thank you thank you thank you!! im so happy with the results :)

      olive i know this was two years ago but what was your flexibility level before starting this challenge? were you able to bend and touch your toes and sit down and touch them? (im not able to) also how often did you do this yoga practice was it daily?

    anyone else automatically smile every time at the end with hands to heart when they hear “thank yourself for today’s practice” ? it’s i think a week now of this daily practice and i’ve realised i don’t mind if it takes longer than 30 days to sink into full splits, the journey is enjoyable enough that it doesn’t matter when i reach the destination

    Added this video to my semi daily routine and I've been doing it fairly regularly for a few months now. I don't have the splits yet, but I'm getting close and I'm excited. I'm almost 36 and I have 5 kids. Last September I had to have surgery for endometriosis and the Doc discovered I also have something called pelvic congestion - which basically means blood pools in my pelvic area and makes things mildly uncomfortable to very painful on a daily basis. They say there isn't a cure, but the exercises in videos like this one - that have to do with leg and hip opening - give me instant relief. It's crazy how much it helps. I do a lot of your other videos too, but this one in particular is a part of my pain relief routine and I'm very thankful for it.

    Okay i know this video is old but i recently discovered it and wanted to share you the update. I have been doing this everyday for almost 2 months. I wasn’t flexible AT ALL. But i improved SO MUCH and it really motivates me to keep going. I am VERY close to a full split but i don’t know how long will it take to get there. Here’s what i learnt
    1. It can and probably will take more than a month if you are like me and have no experience. KNOW THAT IT’S OKAY. Be patient for a few days and then you’ll start to love the way you get more flexible everday.
    2. This exercise also really burns calories and leave you sore and sweaty. Even this day it feels like an abs and belly work out. ITS NORMAL. (Also makes you feel good lol)
    3. Decide if you really want this and learn to love the journey. If you will be disappointed every time you do it and when you see little result, don’t begin. Be realistic. People get there in months.

      @@yarinmca5743 yes! i was able to to splits a few weeks after that comment. I kept going and more i did this routine more easier the splits got. I recommend doing other split exercises as well though because your body gets used to your workout after a while. So do other yoga or stretch workout from time to time. Definetly will work.

    Hi ladies! I just want you guys to know if you are especially new to stretching, you WILL feel sore and tense for a few days after you stretch. KEEP STRETCHING. You will overcome the soreness and will become even more flexible!

      Aurora ASMR thank you. This the exact comment I was looking for. I'm not really new to stretching but I guess this kind really got me because I'm super sore today. I'm using a foam roller and continuing the stretches. Hopefully the soreness will lessen soon. I'm on day 3

      Hello Juliana :) I am just wondering what is the normal and healthy amount of time to feel sore? Ive been doing this video and your other videos for almost two weeks now and I feel the soreness is getting 'worse'...however I am new to stretching so perhaps it's normal? I was also meaning to ask how deep should I go into positions? I love your yin yoga videos and I usually push myself until it hurts a little bit because my body is not used to stertching but I can still bear it well. Is that how it's supposed to be or am I supposed to stop going deeper into a position before it starts hurting at all?

      Sofia Meszaros you should stop before it hurts! Look into ‘yin yoga finding your edge’, it’s a principle in yin yoga which means that you should feel only slightly uncomfortable in your yin poses, because otherwise the stretch is doing more damage than good. Xx

      Thank you ladies for these comments. I also had the same concern because I am super sore. I’m not pushing past my limits but I’m noticing that when I’m sore I am ‘losing’ flexibility as I go. I know it will take a lot of time but I will keep going every day and trusting the process. Any other tips are greatly appreciated! Love and light to all, and stay safe 🥰

    Just finished the 30th day of the challenge. I haven't reached the goal yet, but I've seen so much improvement from where I started. After doing 1 hour of stretching along with this yoga session, I'm 8" to the floor on my right side, 12" on the left, and 6" middle. I'm determined to make it and am continuing with the excellent exercises in this video. Thank you so much for such a beautiful, relaxing, and inspirational channel!

      Unfortunately, I suffered a severe, unrelated ankle injury last year and was unable to continue for some time. However, I have started again as of this month and have made amazing progress in just a week. It's like the flexibility I gained from these exercises never reverted! I will update at the end of the month and fingers crossed, this time I'll be able to reach my goal!

      That is so nice and inspiring to hear that you keep going! I struggle with health issues as well from time to time and it it so easy to get unmotivated and drop the practise but it is absolutely worth doing it.

    Having been a ballet dancer in the past, I've been wanting to be able to do my splits once again. After 6 years of not dancing, and only one week of doing this workout every single day, I am able to do a full split again (thought it does help more to do this after a 30 minute yoga session).       Carlina Piccioni the human body is very capable of change, very capable, and it’s a pity a lot of people don’t realize that. Of course you can do the splits!!! Your height and clumsiness have nothing to do with how wide you can spread your legs. Good going yo! I’m very tall and VERY clumsy, yet I’m so close to the floor in my splits.

    Day 22.
    Full split on left leg with comfort. Right leg split is there but with pain (due to old back injury). This is amazing. Still going to do this video every day until I can do that standing split like her!

    I really hate doing this, it hurts so badly! But when I'm done it feels sooo good! I've been sick for a while now, but I'm looking forward to start doing yoga again.     DAY 15 ! have to admit, that I skipped 3 days in between, so it's gonna take longer than 30 days for me. But I already see great progress, I do 5 minutes additional stretching for the areas that I have troubles with before your routine though. thank you so much for uploading ^^

    After 6 years I got back to yoga as a result my current flexibility was poor as compare to past... And then I came here & saw this video and been doing this from past 1 month and I got the best positive results!!

    For someone who prefers a slower flow, I set this video to x0.75 speed; gives me more time to feel the stretches, slow and steady. Doing a warm-up beforehand-at least 10min-helps a lot; I feel it makes this practice much safer for my body-and more effective! The backs of my legs felt achy yesterday so I took a foam roller to them. I'm looking forward to more progress as an at-home leisure yoga person 😊 This is fun ✨ (Day 4)

    Thank you for this awesome practice. Seems hard at the beginning, but almost achieved the split in one week. Recommend to all!
    Also it would be great to see some videos of stretching the shoulders and breast muscles through yoga.

    Thanks for this video! I have been doing this challenge since August 1st and it is absolutely amazing, I have come so far. I know that I will be able to fully do the splits once I am finished the 30 days, and already my flexibility has improved so much!

    Best yoga video for splits! Perfect warm-up leading up to: left and right leg splits. It's a great warm-up for the hips too. 14 minutes - is an achievable amount of time to commit and create a habit. I like to do this as a warm-up before jogging.

    I've always been pretty flexible but haven't stretched in about six months or so. I just started doing your videos again and I've noticed how tight my right hamstring and left hip flexors have become. I can't get to a full split yet with my right leg in front but I can do it just fine on the other side. So I guess that's something I'll have to work on :) Thank you so much for your videos, I adore them!! ❤️

    This is my all time favorite splits stretch! Even with your amazing new videos I keep coming back to this one - I can really measure my progress on this, it's where it started for me. I often pause to go at my own pace in the full stretch and that helps.
    For everyone just starting out on this challenge, consistency is key, and being warmed up helps even more.

    DAY 2 COMPLETE!! As a 195 lb. guy who can barely touch my knees, I find this extremely difficult lol. It is so much more fun to finish your challenges than just my regular push-ups/sit-ups/squat routine. I plan on finishing them all starting with this challenge. Some day I'll do the splits but I'm thinking more like a few years from now haha.

      +shannon M you can find it in the youtube creators section... its a free liscnese that lives in there library. however, im not sure anymore what it was called. Probably under the ambient filter search. :)

    I did this every day for 3 months and have my splits on the right and almost on the left! To anyone reading this don't get discouraged, you can do this, try to take videos of your progression so you can see how far you come :)

    First I have to thank you for your videos... I use at least 3 of them every day because they are just what I need!
    I finished your 21 fitness challenge few days ago and doing pilates and splits challenges at the moment, combining it with your hiit and 5 minutes miracle classes and some other yoga.
    But I would like your advice on how to get more flexible in my lower back, I have the most problems with my back bends...

As long as I'm not asking for any information or expecting anything, I think it's more like a shoutout. I thought it was cool on Halo Reach or some Xbox Games where you could see all the dots on the map where people are playing from. The original comment would be like a Yoga shoutout. The ASL is like OH cool, guys are motivated by my video too. That is motivating to her to keep up the good work. Making videos is hard.

    day 11 I was about 30 centimetres away from the floor when I started now its only 10 , love this exercise I swear its the best !! before these I do your yin yoga for flexibility it does wonders I swear. Feel so much more loving and free since I do this

    juliana! I am pairing this video with the pirates challenge. I have been doing it for 6 days and I almost have my splits already. I was wondering if there is a way you can do a video for inversions. I think I am getting toward that point and I love your videos so much but I have no idea how to start off working towards the inversions I really want to accomplish. any suggestions before I start? thankyou so much for fueling my passion for yoga, it's becoming a large part of my life.

    I like this! I like how you worked on strengthening the legs just as much as stretching them by doing standing postures. I am someone who can do the splits but recently I realised I don't have much strength to counter it and this is super helpful for me!

    This sequence helped me go all the way down on the first try! Middle splits are the bigger challenge for me though. I'd love a follow-up video that focuses on that too.

    ALRIGHT THIS IS GOING TO SOUND UNBELIEVABLE.
    I am not exactly in the best shape and I decided to give this a go. These positions stretched out my legs so much AND I GOT INTO THE SPLITS one side! I have never been able to do the splits. This was a really big deal for me thank you so much!! 💖💖💖💖

    Today is the first of October and by Halloween if I get my splits I'll come back and update. I'll also be back every week. Wish me luck! Currently I'm about 8 inches off the ground.

      Lollypop 123 I did do it but forgot about this comment lol. So I did intense versions of these stretches for at least an hour every day and by the time it was 3 weeks I had my full splits with little pain on both legs. I still don't have my middle splits yet though

      +Denica Kotorova We all have a starting point which is not horrible at all, it is just simply where you are. There is nothing wrong with that because it is you and where you are is perfect. Then each day if you set yourself to it, there will be smallimprovement which is your path, which as well is perfect. Yoga is a journey. Unique to each of us.

    I did this for around 6 weeks and my left side finally touched the ground! At some point you can just feel it that you can go further. My right side is not able to do this yet though, haha.
