is there ANY way you could take the gears out and measure each one? I want to order one but replace the gears with metal ones because I am SURE the 6100KV motor I have will shred this thing.
nice video! I received a wpl gearbox a few days ago and I installed it on my MN 90... but I have a doubt.When I turn (manually) the front wheels also spin the rear wheels, but the opposite doesn't happen... is this normal? Thanks ;-)
would have been nice if you would have spoke on the actual gear ratio aspect of it.. is first gear lower than stock? is second gear much higher? but the video did help... thanks
I never did run it with the stock trans so I can't make that comparison. I installed the 2-speed day one when building my kit. I now have the single speed aluminum trans for a C24 kit. I'll compare the 2 upgrade trans in a future video but most likely not to a stock one....
I have three 2 speed WPL gearboxes non of them have the "Black" arm that connects the servo to the gearbox shaft, Just a baggie with the various arms and wheels that you discarded and the two servo mounting screws, Is such an arm readily available? If so from where?
I also have 2 two speed 370 motors: in one of them I've found the short black arm but in the other one the same short arm is white. Have a better look but if that is missing I suggest you should contact the seller and ask for this missing piece, unless you try to adapt the single one that has a few holes and cut it short and smooth it out. Beware the tiniest black screw is the one to use on this servo to hold the arm. I don't think this shift needs much strength anyway to push, but it need to hold the vertical black bar the farthest possible position to keep the high gear disengaged (pushed forward)...
Hi. Can I install this transmission on the WPL B36 Ural and/or the WPL B24 as standard, ie; no other upgrades/modifications needed? If not does either vehicle also need upgraded esc's, receivers, transmitters, steering servos and batteries? Also, as standard, does the 370 motor need a resistor soldered between both terminals? Thanks for your time and I look forward to your reply.
I believe this trans will fit all WPL vehicles. You may want to upgrade the driveshafts at minimum. I had the plastic shafts at first and the extra power of this trans/motor twisted the stock plastic shafts. I'm running a 8amp stand alone esc. None of my 370 motors have a resister.
How do you set it up to shift using stock radio gear? Does the board already have a plug for this servo? I got the jjrc jeep and I wanna do some of the popular wpl parts mods but I don't really know electronics
Yes the stock battery would work fine. A LiPo would give you a little more power with its higher initial voltage and ability to hold a higher voltage across the entire discharge.

Doesn't sound good. Check your driveshaft attachment to the trans. I think the output shaft is a one piece so I'd say its your driveshaft slipping.

The 2 speed for me on 2s 800mah lipo is as fast as the original gearbox on same 2s 800mah. But the low is about half the speed with tons more torque.

@@rjz1313 You need a 3ch radio. Unless your radio is 3ch its not going to work and I don't believe stock radio's or rx boards are.
