    Very nice comparison. I bought gen2 around 10 days back....it’s more fun to drive this $150 on rocks than a $350 1/16 traxxas summit

    put wheel weights on the inside the tires on the rim , then drill 2 holes in rim 1 on top & 1 on bottom on hub side , so the air can enter and escape causing the tire to be aired down thus creating a larger contact surface , no weights in rear just air holes , and super firm springs in the rear & medium up front , try that it will blow your mind how well it does , also try and find some hpi moon rover tires , they are super sticky always hook up , used tis set up on my AX-10 scorpion RTR with all metal links & 65 Turn motor & 12 Tooth pinion . , just a thought . sweet video !!!

    I have that same set of trucks (same color). The Gen 1 Temper was based upon the Losi MRC and most of the parts were able to cross over. The MRC had the same torque twist/body roll issue. The 3 link suspension had a lot to do with it. Another way to get rid of that was to switch to 4 link in the rear suspension setup. Cool video. I hope Horizon/EXC comes out with a Gen 3.

    Everything better about the 2nd gen: The axles are wider, the shocks are on the outside of the chasis, the motor is bigger, the truck is faster, the tires are better & 4-link suspension. Did I miss anything?

    Tires, shocks, bigger battery are needs. I'm from North East Ohio I paid 171 bucks for mine. Oh well it'll be a good competitor for the bully

    I've very much appreciated your very detailed review. I don't think you've missed out on anything except maybe: "How does one get into it, to have a look or work inside when it all looks pretty much closed up or hard to get in?...". Otherwise the GEN2 looks like the one I'm going to get for sure. I plan to use it indoors. Let's hope it can crawl onto my indoor cushions and pillows well... ;-)

      You'll just have to take it apart and work your way in as you remove parts. Do yourself a favor and don't buy the original. Spend the couple extra bucks and go right for the Gen 2. It is so much better and you wouldn't have to upgrade the tires like you would want to do on the original. The original's tires are really hard and don't get much grip.

    Or if you have a barrage gen 2 sitting in your room in pieces just use the parts! There even the same axles!

    I have both & there really is no comparison. Basically everything they did wrong on the first gen, they corrected on the second gen.

      Apart from back axel. I was easily able to go 4x4x6 steering on the 1 but the gen 2 does not make it easy.

    What effect would it have if you changed the hole the shock is mounted to on the gen 2

    • @everydayrc1783
      @everydayrc1783  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would change the angle and the amount of force needed to compress the shock. On some vehicles it would also adjust the ride height. On the Temper 2 by moving to a lower hole it would make the suspension compress easier but not much effect on the ride height. It picks up around 2mm in the rear on the the lowest hole and nothing on the front.

      Everyday RC I ended up doing the adjustment to the lowest holes. I like how easy it flexes now
