That Cub is a gorgeous plane! I love that it flies so scale, and that you managed to recover before you ground-looped it! 🙂 The J-3 Cub is an iconic plane, and so many of today's small aircraft can trace their lineage to it.

We had the nitro version of this plane many years ago. Sweet flyer. The only real thing I changed was adding bigger tires. Since we live in the country and fly off of gravel roads, alfalfa fields and about anywhere it is smooth, the gear really helped the cub to perform better.
One of the Cubbiest looking ARF models I've seen. The removable windscreen battery access is nicely done. Make sure wing struts are secure at wing and fuselage attachments, they are functional. Dubro Cub logo hubcap wheels would be a plus. Cubs feel wind gusts, need skill to land in cross-winds and use of rudder with ailerons to turn and to control ground looping during takeoffs.

High Wing, Tricycle Landing gear, 6 channel I'm a "Wet" flier I like running the engines. With the raw power from a .46 BB, a 11x5 prop this plane can "Hang on the Prop". All controls on the plane are cranked up as high as possible. So I have a Powered plane that's fully aerobatic, floats in for smooth landings. Been building and flying planes since 1959 started with C/L Radio in '75. One of my fun builds is a simple, .049 powered 24" build - up wing with ribs, simple flat sided fuselage, 2 ch. Ail & elv Quart of Fuel afternoon at the Field. I'm a 73 Y O Retired Guy who likes to build and Fly. FLYing Planes.....The most fun you can have with your pants on. LOL
Our German Model Pilot Association was able to prevent the government from introducing the SkyId. We only have to glue inside the plane a paper sticker with the Id and the Id is only once per pilot.
@16:09 I sent you a new cowl with the dummy engine parts installed. There's no need to push on the jury struts. They will go in far enough to allow the struts to attach at the fuselage.
It’s great to be able to hear the audio in Spanish perfectly. I’m waiting for my plane. The only thing I don’t like is the landing gear; it’s the only part that’s not to scale. I would have appreciated if the landing gear were damped like on the Carbon Cub and XCub, just like the real plane. This would also help achieve smoother landings. Greetings from Colombia!
I had a big yellow one like that. Put on a electronic control that would keep it level. And it flew just like a real one. No jumping up and down, but very smoothly. I also put larger tires on it, so that grass landings were easier.

Back in 1982 when I was 15 years old I was a participant at the East side RC club out of SIUE East in Illinois I was a member there I still have my original AMA numbers and I was flying 12 and. 16 ft of wingspan back in those days.
Never use flapperons on a plane with outboard ailerons as it will create weird stall characteristics. Only use flapperons with full span ailerons. It has to do with the washout at the wing root. Otherwise, great looking Cub!

The spinner nut included with the PNP EP airplane is 100% intended to be used on the model. It has threads that only fit the Avian electric motor. It's not required to be used, but it makes for a cleaner look. Flaperons are a terrible idea on this model. You're adding washin, which will increase the likelihood of tip stalls, and reduce the effectiveness of the ailerons.
Glad I know how to build still after 47 years. $800.00 I would build it myself. Interesting note what you said about being sent sometimes not new stuff.
@@TheRcSaylors 3 to 4 weeks given my available time. When in my 30s I could build one in 2 weeks. Sometimes I miss those days when airplanes only came in a box. But we have many more in the hobby today due to the BNF, RTFs and so on. The hobby has something for everyone.

No, not at all. They are actually some of the hardest wheels I’ve ever felt on an RC plane. I am planning on getting some Dubro tires for it soon if they have some that will work on it. 👍💯😎⚓️
You NEVER want "flaperons" on outboard ailerons only. You are asking for major, major trouble. Now, if they were full span all the way to the wing root, that would be a different story, but never outboard only, you will tear it to pieces!!
Gas is great if you like to go to the RC field to tune engines endlessly and practice your dead stick landings. I prefer to be able to test in my garage without the neighbours filing a noise complaint, then actually flying when I go to the rc field.
Man, I wish Horizon would have brought back the last 80 inch J3 they came out with. This Cub is no where near as scale or good looking as the last 80 inch Horizon Cub! Too bad. What a shame.
We are doing exactly what the FAA has required of us. We own and use remote IDs when required, and we fly without them when applicable. Thanks so much for your concerns!! I would encourage you to apply this energy to other channels out there who are doing insanely dangerous activities with their RCs! Some even fly directly over homes with FPV and no spotters!! 😬💯⚓️

Saito and ys engines are just as good as o.s.. saito very reliable. Ya very hard to tune but once is there it's a power house!!!

The scale is about 1/5, so barbie should be around 13 inches if she's around 5'4" in real life.

I like to know if you're using the required FAA remote ID with your aircraft ? I would like a response
We are doing exactly what the FAA has required of us. We own and use remote IDs when required, and we fly without them when applicable. Thanks so much for your concerns!! I would encourage you to apply this energy to other channels out there who are doing insanely dangerous activities with their RCs! Some even fly directly over homes with FPV and no spotters!! 😬💯⚓️
